So here's my problem. I love my current mouse, but the old g5 mouse is too heavy for me now, i realise that a lighter mouse is better, so i'm looking to upgrade. I'm willing to spend up to $100 on a new beauty, and have no idea on mice as i've had the old g5 for about 5 years now. Anywhere up to $100 is no problem for me, so I don't care about economy, if a $99 mouse is better than a $49 mouse but only just, it's still better, and bugger the inefficient price difference.
Obviously i'm tossing up between razer and Tt eSports, and (sponsors aside guys :P ) i was wondering which one I should get for SC2 performance?
There's obviously the Deathadder from razer, the big choice that a lot of people have.
Or there's the Black Element from Tt eSports, which has much higher DPI but doesn't say what the lagtime is on it.
If you have a different suggestion for me I'd appreciate it as well, i'm not set on getting one of those two. I'll be buying whichever one i choose tomorrow

I use a claw grip, and I love my deathadder.
Feels a bit weird (the whole dry top instead of smooth) but it's one sexy mouse.
It's also at a good decent price.

I'd strongly recommend the Steelseries Sensei, I believe its about 130$ which is slightly more than your willing to pay, but it's a really really good mouse. It was the first 'gaming' mouse I haven't regretted it at all.
The mouse itself I find is very comfortable to use, my hand/palm fits perfectly over it. The buttons on the side of the mouse have come in useful for easier to reach hotkeys, this is kind of a null point though because most quality mice these days come with that i believe.
Another thing thats really good about the sensei is how much "stuff" you can customize, be it the colour on the mouse, to having 2 different dpi/cpi settings per profile. You can fiddle around with acceleration/deceleration if you want to, amongst loads of other things, and this can all be done within the mouse just using the wheel and a few extra buttons.
Things I dislike are that occasionally it sort of spazzes out and the mouse becomes slow, I'm not exactly sure whether this is my mouse pad not being clean though =p.
Other than that it's a great mouse and I'd strongly recommend it to anyone.

i use the kinzu, and am looking to buy the sensei when i can afford it, this was going to be my suggestion too.

With out Sponsor association coming into it - you should ask dippa.. that guy has been thru all the good gaming mice, has a box of about a dozen different mice that he's tried out - he knows the best mice.
Other than that - of course I endorse the Razer Death Adder - I'm really enjoying this mouse - but the Theron and Mamba (the other gaming mice i've used) - I've been happy with all of them!
Good luck in finding the mouse for you, I recommend trying them out - seeing which fits your hand the best
G9X!!! is hte way to go .. i love this mouse cause it is small and i feel like i am able ot use it faster then the longer mouses like mamba or deathadder.
I love the Logitech G1, deth bought it from amazon a couple of months ago. very comfortable, and so light.
It is a small mouse but it'll fit any sized hand.
It's worth $29 at amazon.
Not the prettiest thing out there but it's so good for rts, much better than my mouse (steelseries xai)

Out of curiosity, what bad about the steelseries xai for RTS? I've tried the mouse and really liked how it felt, and was considering a sensei, however I'd like to know what problems you/others had with it !
I used to use a G9x (with shell! Just 2 of the light weights in it), then black mouse, then sapphira.
Most important don't buy a mouse off reputation!
Go to a LAN, friends house, or store that lets you test and try the product first, The most important thing is that it complements your hand-size and grip style. Actually play some games on it preferably and see how you like it.
The sapphira is what I use now. It's a bit bigger than g9x so can be used for either claw or palm grip and I find it pretty darn good.
Imo mice like the Tt black and the deathadder are far more suited to palm-grip. Which in my opinion is more for fps style of mouse control. I've had trouble with fine-micro (clicking lings or banes speedily) and keeping up multitasking with these mice. But like I said before it's personal preference TEST IT BEFORE YOU BUY! :P
Coming to a LAN and asking people to try their equipment is the best move before a purchase.
yea deathadder made for different people, i use razer spectre and i basically tilt the mouse all the way to the left, almost sideways, when i held my friends deathadder i was holding it straight, but that's just me
I used to use the Logitech G9 a while ago, but then switched to the Razer Deathadder. I will never turn back, I'll keep buying these mice until they discontinure the product. It's perfect for me personally.
Combine this with the Steelseries QCK+ mouse pad (what I have) and your in heaven...... pure bliss

I just received my Aivia mouse from gigabite (the kind of laptop that was gifted to pig thank you esports supporters). It has what I feel I cant live with out mouse wheel with side to side buttons. I dont know if the weight would be an issue for you. If only they made a back plate with out a battery attached to sit in it. Did I mentioned its a wired/wireless mouse. Like all new mice it will take a bit of getting use to but it feels good so far. Worth looking at if you use to use a g5 and use the mouse wheel all direction thing.
I got recommended a Logitech G1 by Deth, ordered it over ebay, got it a few weeks later.. Amazing mouse - never realised how bad my old one was, this shit is incredible

I do declare, razor mice seem to be fairly popular and of good quality, wouldn't you agree cRChadMann
