Im going to be adding various content related to Guild Wars 2 in this threads OP. I would also like to compile a list of all players on sc2sea, their race and a profession and hopefully we can get everyone on one server, and potentially organize a clan.
If you think anything would be good to add to this thread, post it or PM me and let me know.

JoFritzMD - JoFritzMD - I have no idea about the class types or races so I'm not decided yet. I'll probably give a few of them a shot. I'll be on SoS because that looks like where everyone else is going.
EDIT: nyohmygod, after looking at some gameplay videos i'm definitely going elementalist. I have no idea about what the differences are between the races so I still have to test that out during the weekend.

As a side note, a Guild Wars 2 channel has been made in the mumble server. That way you will know if there are people playing the game and want to chat.
"We limit sales to ensure we have enough capacity for our customers. We're likely to have capacity available after the initial crunch at the start of the weekend. Players who purchase when we're able to resume digital sales at buy.guildwars2.com will still be able to play for the remainder of the weekend. ~RB2"
Welcome to buy cheap GW2 Gold here! Sufficient Guild Wars 2 Gold in large stock is here for you! Your character will fly higher with the help of Safe Guild Wars 2 Power Leveling at fast speed.
User has received an infraction for this post. Accumulation of points pass a certain number will result in automatic bans.
Its pretty admirable of them to do that. Despite that though, I expect maybe 2 people to be able to play for the first hour or so as everyone bumrushes the server.
But... it's a digital sale. There's not even any physical goods to manufacture or process. I've never heard of anyone limiting digital sales before.
Its so that servers can handle it, they'll be able to scale up server capacity (Based on Testing), and/or add more servers, It'll remove huge wait times (ala SWTOR first week), and it'll reduce stress on servers/customer support until they decide to sell more. (Which is aparently after this weekend)
Its weird i know, and i thought it was silly when i first heard of it happening, but they're refusing to take your money right now , they gotta have a decent reason right? ^_^
i think it could also be a bit of a marketing gimmick, the people who are in feel valued and the people who aren't feel like they're missing out on something special.
could just be the server thing though.
Is it def 3am tonight that it starts? AEST?

SoS has been full since I got up a few hours ago, so I'm gonna make a character on a another low pop American server. Scavenger's Causeway sounds cool. Pirates and stuff. Yarrr.
I'm like level 7 and stuff, been rolling with ranged weapons/skills this whole time. Just picked up a random shitty sword and started swinging that, HOOOOOOOOLY SHIT THIS GAME JUST GOT SO MUCH EASIER. I really do like that you learn entirely unique skill sets based on the weapons you equip, but **** ranged weapons are JUST. SO. WEAK. Like the best ranged attack I have does like 18 damage. The very first melee ability I used does like 38.
WHAT.
EDIT: And sup with my pet? He gets 1 shot in like every fight. I spend more time reviving him than using him. He has one useful ability which gives me a 3 second buff before he falls over. Stupid pet.
Yeah I'm having a tough time dual wielding pistols as a engineer. Casters also seem to be nuking mobs down in seconds where I have to faff about and constantly circle strafe and dodge.
Still having an absolute blast though
i got up to level ten before the shutdown. i also found ranged weps to be poo compared to others, even sword and shield. maybe its just because im a warrior.
finished the first massive human section and got a ridiculous 2 hander as a reward, didnt get to use it yet but its so massive and epic.
have really enjoyed the flow of the story etc so far, the lag has been horrible in parts, but thats to be expected i guess.

Pretty jealous of you all! Went to pre-order it but i only have my laptop with me for the weekend and by the time I d/l it and spend time with family etc I would only get to play it for a couple of hours ... is there going to be other BWE?
there isnt much *small* casual quests for me to gain experiences from other than the dynamic events. Would love to have those as well
Too scaling down of our characters at lower levels...i mean i am a level 10 elementalist that got scaled down to level 4 when i tried to fight a level 5 bandit chief bounty alone...it gets so ridiculous then

I'm trying to figure out if there is a bank system in the game. Does anyone know?
Like for items? They're only in the main cities, and hidden pretty well, its the Xun'lai storage house you're looking for.
I'm definitely disappointed with the inventory system, gw1 had huge bags and displayed them alot better, and since then we've been spoiled with a bunch of decent ones (SWTOR inventory? that shit kroon)
PS: Elementalist is crazy fun, i love how it encourages you to switch between attunements, and dodging is so fun, ele has so little "Endurance", so spells are so important, theres nothing more satisyfing than using Wind to blow an enemy back, attacking, switching to water and using icy ground to limit movement speed, and then switch to fire and use burning retreat when they get near.
ITS SO FUN.
I agree with Bash, the Elementalist is crazy fun. I expected I would have to focus on just one element for a build, but early on it seems like you can use all 4.
I was pretty let down by the beta.. the dynamic events are pretty boring and WvW is boring for a melee char. Had abit of fun with the pre made elementalist in the bg like areas.
I enjoyed it a lot, but I didn't play too much; didn't do any WvW (its beta...its laggy..and nothing is balanced, so it would just spoil my impression of the game if I judged it on the PvP) and just tried to explore as much as possible and do my personal storyline.
The personal storyline actually was my favorite thing about the beta. Reminds me a lot of the LotRO central storyline which was also amazing.
A lot of the joy of the beta is that there are so many people around contributing and participating. But I'm pretty worried that people behind the curve or who just start playing a lot later will hate the PvE as no one is around doing the dynamic events and without them PvE is pretty monotonous and difficult to completely solo.
I didn't mind it but it wasn't as great as i was expecting.
The story and dialogue felt stale and generic to me and the gameplay felt very repetitive.
Having said that I'll still play it on release and I hope that they actually read what was written on all of their little surveys because I think there will be a lot of similar complaints.
The PvP seemed very...slow? I'm not sure whether that is the right word because you're constantly moving around and rolling away, dodging stuff, etc. but damage would go out so slowly but then sometimes you'd lose 70-80% of your health in a single ability, so that confused me. The lack of healing in the game (there was healing but healing for 150 when you have a healthpool of over 10000 seems kind of pointless to me) combined with the lack of good CC means that you can't really have very interesting PvP gameplay. I felt as if the skill cap wasn't very high even with swapping weapons/elements.
I really like the idea behind the WvW though. I think it's done waaaay better then how WoW has done it. A constant back and forth between 3 factions, and bonuses which you can earn even if you're coming last. I think after release, once everyone has figured it out a bit there will be some great wars going on there. Hopefully they can make the PvP more interesting by release though. I played it for an hour and a half and by the end of that was really bored by it whereas in WoW I could play the same generic BGs over and over for an entire day just because of how fun the PvP gameplay was.
I played it for one day but couldn't really see myself playing the beta for a second. In release when there is an actual goal I will probably enjoy it more but I'm still not sure. I'l be very interested to see what the endgame is like.
EDIT: I almost forgot one of the biggest things that i didn't like so far about this game. Every single aspect of it made me feel like I was playing single player. In the group quests I just sat there and hit something, there was no reason for anyone to do anything to help out the group, just hit the boss as hard as you can. Even in the PvP, there was nothing that made the person you were fighting personal or non-sp-ish. At first I thought the "Green/blue invaders" were NPC's before remembering one of the videos i watched saying that you won't know who you're actually versing. Then because there's no healer or reliable CC there's nothing you can do to help out allies other then, just like in PvE, hit the opponent harder.

I have to echo this post, I played the beta a fair bit on Saturday and I got the same feelings as JoFritz here. I pretty much agree with everything, I found my interest level plateau-ing around the level 15 mark.
Also the "classes" are not balanced, but this is beta so that's to be expected. I like that you can offer them feedback on instances. I also like that the PvE is story driven even though it feels pretty dry.
I think this is just a content thing. Some of the areas feel like they were rushed to release, the others felt a lot more polished. Will give it another bash before the beta ends but yeah.
As a disclaimer; due to too much WoW I am pretty much done with MMOs, the hype for this one promised something that I don't think we can see yet in the Beta. I'm confident come full release this will be a fun game for GW and MMO genre fans.
Well that was good fun. I did have a couple of thoughts -
The 'downed' mechanic means that in WvW you don't often actually kill enemies, so the only way to reliably get experience and money is to follow the zerg around capping undefended keeps. Which is lame.

Damage outputs seemed a bit low. I came across a couple of AFK players in WvW - it took a decent few rotations and weapon swaps to kill them. Given that everyone has a decent amount of healing and defense, killing people is a little too difficult.
I had a 1v1 fight with an Elementalist that literally didn't end, neither of us was able to kill the other before our heals came off cooldown. Several other 1v1's resulted in the other player simply walking off.
That said, I had a lot of fun. The Mesmer class is all sorts of amusing to play. I didn't think the illusions thing was going to work very well, but I had a couple of people commenting in local chat at how they thought other players had turned up. Admittedly I did almost no PvE, but I can see myself being entertained by WvW almost exclusively.

I totally agree with both of you, I got to about level 12 before getting a bit over it and ended up playing dota all sunday. I must say that the Human story line was way more interesting for me than the Norn one. The Norn side was a typical "we need to kill these badies" affair, where as in the human story I found myself doing things such as collecting evidence at a dinner party through conversation, to put a guy on trial for being a badie, which was a lot more interesting.
Im actually not sure im completely sold on the whole "we got rid of the holy trinity" thing. PvE questing was fun, but it was also so chaotic. Everyone just zerging the one boss very often, there wasn't much synergy going on between people and although this was different im not sure if it was an improvement to other MMOs. Also there was some really weird spiky damage, which I assume was due to me not using the dodge mechanic properly, not sure what the go is with that.
I wonder how different the game will be when its all polished off. One of the primary selling points was Arena-Nets constant assurance that the game would be clean and fast like wow, but this felt even more clunky and rough than many other less hyped wow clones that have been released.
At the end of the day its not a subscription deal, so I can just play it casually whenever I get an MMO itch and Ive already bought the game so i will give it a good go on release to see if its any better. I suspect it will be more fun when we can keep our characters and are actually all on the same server.

I agree also, kinda hope that some major changes happen before release.
The first thing i noticed was the clunky controls, when you move it just doesn't feel right, same thing for the combat, most abilities that i found i didn't really have completely dynamic abilities especially when you have only 5.
I've been comparing it to TERA, and i have been loving tera. The combat is much more solid and i think that anyone willing to try a similar game that is well polished and releasing soon to give it a go.... so here's some buddy codes, don't know if you need to use them but give it a try!
Thanks for pre-ordering TERA!
As part of your pre-order perks, you can start playing TERA before everyone else as part of TERA's Head Start event, starting April 28 at 12:00 PM PDT! The Head Start event will lead directly into launch on May 1.
Everyone knows that MMOs are more fun with friends, so we're letting you bring along three friends on your head start journey.
With the codes below, not only will your friends be able to try out TERA all weekend for free, but they can also carry over their characters to the full version of TERA should they choose to buy it!
I wasn't very happy with the game throughout levels 1-8. It was a giant clusterfuck. Then I got to level 14 and wrapped my head around the crafting system. That shit is SICK. Once you start crafting yourself some gear, you become a ******* juggernaut capable of solo'ing group event bosses. By the time I got to level 18 the game had become an absolute joy to play. Unfortunately the client has crashed so many times over the last 2 days that I can't login any of my 3 characters. But oh well, the beta ends in like half an hour anyway.
P.S. Opening up with some bleed/vulnerability strikes from 1400 range with a longbow, then launching in with my greatsword to **** up ALL the things is never gonna get old. So fun.

I never gave the crafting much of a look. It looked pretty interesting from what I did see but couldn't be bothered to try and find the ingredients to actually use it haha.

I am greatly looking forward to see what they do change for the next beta weekend. I'm hoping the game is in a very different state when it rolls around.
I played both a Thief (Lvl 22) and a Engineer (Lvl 13) Enjoyed both, but had more fun on the Thief. (Obviously)
I tried to try my hand at as many different aspects of the game as I could, so here goes;
Personal Story;
- Honestly, I found the personal story to be a little dry, I felt like the reasons the game was giving me to accomplish these personal tasks were a little weak. Although the game caps your story at about the level 20 mark, so I haven't seen the story past there.
I'm hoping that like any good tales of Heroes it will draw me in as I keep going. Give me reasons to want to save Tyria, Defeat evil dragons, etc
Dynamic Events;
- These I enjoyed immensely, however I found several issues in regards to difficulty. It got to a stage where I was being leveled-down to the 10-11 mark and still couldn't kill a level 10 Champion dude...
There were others where Cannons and Trebuchets (Sp?) are pounding at you, with NPC mobs trying to kill you and there's just TOO much stuff you NEED to dodge...and not enough endurance.
These moments may have even been a little easier on me as a Thief, as mobility is your greatest weapon and you have many tools to achieve that.
Overall, I think the Dynamic Event's model for questing was MUCH better than the traditional Quest-Hub based stuff from games like WoW.
There were moments when I was just exploring and NPC's would run up to me yelling stuff like "Legionnaire, Blah Blah town is under attack, we could use you're help!" and after following them I would find a town with dead people everywhere and Giants/Centaurs, etc attacking the place. Made the world feel very alive to me, since stuff happens even when your not there to see it.
Example: You head to village, repair gear and sell some items w/e, then go do a dynamic event, only to return to that same town and find it in flames and bandits everywhere.
They ended the beta with a special Dynamic event wherein I was killed by a deer...not even like a zombie evil deer from Hell, just a regular old deer.../sigh stupid animals...
PvP/WvWvW;
This was baller! Unfortunately, Sea of Sorrows was full so I couldn't get on with the TA/SC2sea guys, and my realm was pretty underpopulated from what I can tell. However it impressed me because you don't need a massive Zerg of players to achieve stuff. Myself and my gf managed to take several supply depots on our own. However, for things like the Fort's and Keep's you would need many players. And some siege engines...or that door will take HOURS to kill.
The structured PvP was fun. Except there were soooo many issues with balancing. There were a few where I would jump into the Battleground find myself alone on the blue team against 2 - 3 other players...
The game does balance out the teams automatically, however every time that happened it was WAY too late to make a come back.
Crafting;
They've made some head-way here. I now don't have to stand around for 20mins forging bronze bars. Unfortunately the UI for crafting was a little tricky, and much of it seems to be experimentation. Similar to Skyrim, where you mix a bunch of random ingredients and if you get something good you learn the recipe.
Most of the gear I was able to craft though was substantially better than what I was finding or able to buy with Karma.
Will have to look more at crafting next beta.
Overall Impressions;
Overall I think it's an excellent MMO that takes some time and skill to be good at. I died heaps at the start cause I tried to play just like I play WoW, stand here spam buttons...Which doesn't work in GW2.
If I learnt one thing from the BWE, it's that mobility is King, and standing still will only get you killed.
I'll certainly be playing on release.
/2c

Has anyone pre-ordered this off their official website? I'd rather do that and just get it digitally than get it from EB. Just wondering if the one on their site is this region or w/e.
I'm also on the edge of pre-purchasing to get into Beta over the weekend. Kinda tired of playing D3 by myself (QQ i know) - and this seems ok so far. Still don't know if I should or not!
I like the sound of the changes theyve made so far http://www.arena.net/blog/the-big-beta-weekend-preview , looks good. i dont wanna spoilt too much of the game itself, so i'll probably only play an hour or two this weekend.
PS - holy crap that steelseries gear loooks baaaaaaaaad, they couldve done so much better with it IMO
How is this part of your planning forging ahead? I will be getting this as an early father's day present! I'll have to be sociable on actual Father's day though!!! Imagine: "Happy father's day dad - let's do something with the family. Me: Bugger off, I'm trying to play a game here!!"
I've tried out this game with my bro's account for a while, I just reached level 2 as an elementalist and I didn't know what to do lol.
Really, I don't think that this game is for me. Though I'm tempted to give the game another try.
(Also I have no intention to bash the fans of this game, just want to share my first impressions of this game.)

Instead of complaining about balance, try, try again.
Earlygame ZvZ is basically a knifefight with suicide bombers.
I tried a sylvara ranger this time around. Definitely a good starting area, and interesting starting quests. I am very keen for launch now. I have even gone back to the original in the mean time.
still not even sure if that is going to be a real server name, but we should be able to work it out fairly quickly. I wont be able to GM any guild but if anyone is interested maybe they could do it.

Well I'm definitely interested, I'm going to cancel WoW for now (for the 3rd time...) and see how this goes! Might do some more reading first though, so I'm not exactly sure what race/style I'll play. Really happy to see that there are no 'specific' roles though, that will make it a lot of fun.
its interesting that each individual is responsible for keeping themselves alive in terms of healing with no real healer class
seems more emphasis on conditions etc
Not sure what class I will main first when I play. Tried necro and mesmer the most and can't decide. I prefer my minion build from gw1 and it seems gw2 will not let me have 10 undead dudes running around helping me at same time :P
Sea of Sorrows going to be unofficial SEA server then?
After reading through this thread a bit more thoroughly; did you guys that got to play it ealier in the year get to play it again later? Some of you expressed some negative opinions, I'm just wondering if you got a chance to have another go to see if any has changed - or has it been closed since that time?

I played the last beta weekend and enjoyed it a lot more than the previous one i played. I'm not sure why though, I think it was just a lot more polished and the world was pretty and there was so much more to explore. It could just be that the starting area I tried out this time was more fun than the previous one but I'm not sure.
I didn't do any PvP this time as I was focusing more on crafting (which still confuses me a bit because of how you have to discover recipes) and just exploring the world. There were these really cool things called vistas (i think) and you had to do a bunch of jumping up cliffs and get through obstacles to get there and they were really fun.
I think the key differences were that there was a lot more to do this time and the game felt way more polished.

Great, sounds good
I was just a bit worried but hopefully if all is going well it should be great fun, just gotta get me a copy and wait until the release! If anyone else has further impressions from the latest beta testing weekend please post, I'd really like to see some more thoughts on how it went.
i played in the 2 most recent beta weekends and liked it
even though it has some kind of unique gameplay elements like skills linked to weapons and dodging its still very much your fantasy MMO
If you don't like other MMO games this one won't change your mind. If you burned out on WoW and similar you probably won't last long on this either
The most recent beta was a lot more fun for me too, like sharn said, it seemed a lot more polished, the addition on vistas really promoted just exploring the maps rather than just running through them as quick as possible.
I found that the different starting areas made a HUGE difference in my experience of the game.
Human - had by far the most conversation "avenues" (where you chose what is going to happen) and probably the most developed story line. Human was by far the best I tried, almost every conversation you have to change depending on what you want to do, and huge pieces of content are determined by these choices, the starting area is polished and really interesting.
Char - didnt really try but the little i did looked interesting.
Norn - TERRIBLE. So many quests are just walking between NPCs, very slow, decent landscape though and some cool bosses. I also found i was way under leveled when finishing my main quests which made it really hard as I went on.
Asura- really good, just like human but with a lot less conversation points. good story, a bit more fun and playful.
Slyvari - fairly serious and a little boring, but not too bad. didnt play that much through.
So I think depending on what your looking for you might want to pick a different starting race, I think personality really comes into play here. If you want a serious, scary boss killing opening, look at char or sylvari. If you want more of a conversation chose your own adventure maybe human, and if you are just looking for fun asura. Norn just was very bad comparitively, i wouldn't recommend it at all.
In saying this im sure it will all change by release, If it could all be the standard of the Human stream, it will be an epic game.

Played about 20 minutes of Asura this morning in the stress test. HOLY SHIT i was impressed.
Barely levelled, only did a few quests. But i loved every bit of it. (Even dat Neji VA)
Everything was so.... pretty. Anything i was disappointed in on the Human end was 10x better in the asura start zone (I keep almost saying asari >.<) Played a Guardian, reminds me of my W/mo from GW1, think i'll go with that and a charr/human Ele as a secondary.
Also played 5 minutes of the Sylvari, looked alright, but not as cool as the other 3 i've played. (Played all but norn so far, never liked norn)
I found this article to be an interesting read. It talks about how other games such as Guildwars 2 may impact on WoW and Activision Blizzard share prices.
I have decided on Asura Necro. Cant wait to get started Also made an agreement with my mate that neither of us would read anything about the game online, including wikis and guides. Going to n00b it up the whole way through, just like vanilla wow. Should be good!

I'm thinking I probably should've tried out different classes in the beta weekend. I feel as if I know nothing about any of the classes other then elementalist, and elementalist I only know a tiny bit about haha. I honestly can't wait until release and I get to explore all the classes.
Is anyone doing the stress testing today? How's it all going?
Can anyone post their thoughts on the trade skills, were they all fully available?
I tried the game for the first time today managed to log in almost instantly but I didn't get to touch trade skills though as I was too busy checking all the basic stuff out!

The Chad is great!
Stress test was good, they extended it by a couple of hours I was getting familiar with the game too, I did find a bunch of Skill Masters or whatever at ''The Grove'' around the Sylvari area. I guess every race has these. Didn't really progress further than that with them though.
Interesting to see the huge spike in professions when it came to Jewelcrafting - wondering if any of you guys could explain why? It's just a more profitable skill?
I havent played it for a while, but i'd say its just less of a "plain" profession - Cooking isnt exactly and exciting thing to do, and the rest are all armour/weapon crafting, which most people plan to get from drops etc, from experience the best gear always drops from end-game bosses etc.
Sorta like Ench/JC in wow - i could always get that cool new staff from a boss, but i could only get +craptonofspellpower from a player with Enchanting, i imagine alot of people see Jewelcrafting similarl.
Also 5/11 gear slots are accesories, which can be made by Jewelcrafters.
Despite how monumentally painful getting started in armoursmithing was, things are moving along pretty well. I think the crafting system could definitely use some tweaking, but having so much fun right now that I don't really mind.
If you are on Sea of Sorrows, DCVGamers is always looking for people. Casual guild with its own mumble server. Currently, have Meatex and JoFritz plus 4 friends. I'm veteris in game, so msg me when I'm on or mail either myself or Jo (he can invite to the guild as well).
I tend to stay in the overflow servers. I find them a bit more responsive. If you want to check latency, this thread gives a way : http://duguild.com/topic/426-checkin...ncy-windows-7/ Not sure on its accuracy though. I think it might be more of ping rather than latency.

Anyone done AC - the level 30 dungeon? It broke my brain with how messy and dice-rolley it was. Not a fun experience. Not sure what this says about end game PvE.

So SoS is the 'aussie' server? Is there still a way to join this server? As I just picked up the game today and it's not letting me pick it as my home world. Apparently full or something minor like that

You can join it on the "lower" hours, idk if theres still free server transfers but i just transferred around 3am one morning when theres less people online and it worked fine, you're usually put into overflow but that should sort itself out once people progress and spread throughout the game more.

Is there any site outside of the official Guild Wars 2 website that sells Digi Copy of GW2? Official GW2 website say Digi Copy Outta stock...or maybe somebody can 'chope' (reserve) for me.

Has anyone had troubles with the personal quest for the Sylvari elementalist "Mirror Mirror"? If you can give me some advice that would be really great.

UPDATE NOTES 09.09.12
Skills & Traits Mesmer
The Prestige – Fixed a bug so that Burning duration no longer amplifies when additional enemies are present.
Ranger
Beastmastery Trait: Instinctual Bond – Now grants 5 seconds of quickness to the player’s pet and can only occur once every 50 seconds.
Pets can no longer be revived using the “F” prompt. This is because you can either use F4 to swap pets which will bring that pet back alive or you can wait until you are out of combat at which point you pet will revive automatically. We felt it was doing a disservice to Ranger players to incentivize them to spend a long time reviving their pet when it was a very inefficient thing to do and happened after combat anyway. This will also help clear up “F” to interact functionality.
Guardian
Tome of Wrath – Removed Stability, added Retaliation; increased the health of the transform
Zealot’s Fervor – Players can now move while casting this skill; increased cast time to 2 seconds; reduced maximum targets to 5
Judgment – Knockdown is now 3 seconds
Tome of Courage – Removed Stability, added Protection
Heal Area – Base heal increased by 33%
Pacifism – Reduced maximum targets to 5; increased cast time to 2 seconds; reduced daze duration to 2 seconds
Shield of Absorption. The second half of this skill will now unlock in PvE.
Story
“Bad Blood” – Exiting the conversation will no longer arbitrarily lock the player into a choice
“Mirror, Mirror” – Adjusted difficulty.
“The Hatchery” You can no longer do the final step before doing the intermediate steps.
“Dredging up the Past” – Fixed blocking bug during the first step.
General
Fixes for various blocked events and skill challenges.
PvP games played/won will not increment in activities.
Fixes for various map bugs that allowed players to get out of the map. Interact “F” should use the following priority:
Your current selection
Loot
Revive/Stomp
Anything else
Updated the recipe for Superior Rune of the Ranger to match the rarity of other Superior runes.
Looks like you weren't the only one struggling. Hope its a bit easier for you now.
Currently playing on an EU server with my missus (who was there to play with another friend).
Considering switching to be with more people I know as I have mostly been playing solo or with my missus. What is SoS like? How many people here are still playing? Are you guys in a guild together or do you know of other guilds?
This is basically my first MMO and I am enjoying it quite a bit.

Sorry didn't see this until now.
Here is their website: http://www.ruinnation.com/ with the title "Ruin Gaming Community. PvP is our business - World leaders in high-quality online entertainment at other's expense - Enlist Now!"
RUIN is a group of dickheads that aim to grief in every game possible.
In WoW, they would essentially have their guild camp Tol Barad both in the battle and at the gates. They would also just camp the Horde area in Tol Barad, killing all NPC's. They would hold it almost 24 hours a day. With only one spawn point for each faction into Tol Barad BG, and one spawn point to Tol Barad itself, there was no way for anyone from the Horde side to stay alive more than 10 seconds.
In SWTOR, they just roamed the areas between 40-60, ganking everyone they could. They played Sith (while it was still OP to play Sith), and so roamed around with groups of 5 just ganking everyone. Made getting to higher levels extremely hard. I think 55-60 had shared areas which they pretty much owned like they did in WoW, so I quit the game at lvl 55 and came back after a couple of months to hit 60. Still got ganked quite a bit, but not as much as before I quit.
And here is a video of them griefing in GW2:

Just started playing casually with my GF. Were both Sylvari, she's a girl Elementalist whilst I'm a boy Mesmer. We get owned all the time doing quests because we don't have a tank and we both suck leading to us going naked in one of the quest cause we died like 8 times over hahaha! We are both around level 25 at the moment.
We are on Seafarer's on Europe, tried to join Sea of Sorrows upon finding this thread but the server seems to be full. Truly enjoyable game that eats alot of time. Anyone still play?
