Barcraft in Singapore Saturday 19th May

Howdy ho,

We are organizing a BARCRAFT in Singapore for GSL Finals.

Date: Saturday 19th May 2012
Time: 4.00PM SGT till 1.00AM
Venue: Molly Mallone's Irish Pub, 56 Circular Road, Singapore 04911. It's the same bar as last time if you've been there on the first barcraft

Some important informations about this event:

The bar is opened for people under 18 years old.
Alcohol is sold for 18+ only. Don't cheat if you're under 18, i don't want to end up the barcraft at the police station.
I booked the place from 4PM till 1AM. The games of GSL finals starts i think around 5PM SGT.

Why must you come to the barcraft?

Because you love starcraft
Because you love beer
Because you'll get the chance to meet and chat famous singaporean starcraft 2 players.
Because i'll give away free autographs
Because we'll discuss about the incoming events in Singapore for SC2 scene.

The room can host between 80 to 100 people, if you are interested to join this event, please let us know by posting inside this thread. It will give us a good idea of how many people may join. The more we order beer/drinks/food, happier will be the management of the bar, and the more likely we are to make again a Barcraft for next event

A small review concerning the bar:

"You can't possibly get more authentic than with Molly Malone's. Designed and built in Ireland, the pub was then shipped and reassembled here. It also holds the honours of being the first Irish pub to open here. Packed practically every single day of the week, it's not hard to see why this pub has become such a popular fixture in the business district - the atmosphere is always lively and exceedingly friendly, and its signature fish and chips comes in generous portions, with melt-in-your-mouth batter and crispy thick cut fries."

What do we need now?

Get one laptop for the stream - EvilSWAT?
Get cables to connect the laptop with the TV - EvilSWAT?
Get someone to take photos/make video to make a nice blog/report on sc2sea
Get a Gom TV account

So now you book your 19th May, you find any excuse for girlfriend/boyfriend/parent, and we meet at Molly Mallone's for the first Barcraft ever in Singapore.

I've been to the bar today, the sound is working fine, projector too. We only face an issue with the wifi, as the management don't have the password and we might have to use the manager's laptop to stream. It works nicely in 720p when we're connected to the wifi.
Backup plan will be to bring a 3g mobile broadband adapter.

I've been there tonight for some final tests.
We can watch streams on 720p+

, and sound is amazing too.

However, the top floor has a kind of stupid layout, so some people won't see the wall-screen.

I am still looking for a spare screen so more people will have a good view on the stream. Let me know if you have one that you can lend for the barcraft. Worst case i'll bring mine.

As the final will start at 5PM SGT, it will most likely end around 7 to 7.30PM. We have the place until 1AM and it's possible to eat at the bar, so we plan to bring along a PS3 and make a FIFA12 2v2 tournament. I would like your thoughts about it guys. We'll still display SC2 streams until the end of the event.

EDIT: i forgot to mention there's a bar just for us at the top floor (and toilets)

I'm helping Frogmite with the organizing of the Singapore BarCraft event. It was mentioned that this event will start at 4PM earlier on, just want to clarify that doors will be open by 3:30PM and the Finals themselves is scheduled to start at 4:10PM. Please feel free to come down earlier to book yourselves good viewing seats and have a drink with other StarCraft 2 players (or if you're lucky, get some French lovin'

funny story, when i first reached the event i saw some guy in an sc2sea tee. i was thinking thats great!!!! and not much else, because i can't keep track of all the guys who bought the tee and was also bz with other stuff that had come up.

then the guy kept hanging around and talking to me when i was bz being the doorman, which was nice so of course i was talking to him for a bit. then 5 minutes later i realize that guy was actually mrfool who i never saw before lol!!! omg. that was embarrassing haha.
