SEASON 6 LOCKOUT

Looks like Season 6 lockout begins next Tuesday the 3rd of April with Season scheduled to end the following week on Tuesday the 10th.

Only 4 more days to use up all your bonus pool or try for those last minute promotions.

Season 7 will bring in 3 new maps:

(2) Daybreak LE

+ [View] +

(2) Ohana LE

+ [View] +

(4) Metropolis LE

+ [View] +

As Blizzard wants to keep the map pool to 10 maps, The Shattered Temple will be leaving the map pool as voted by the community.

Map being removed:

(4) The Shattered Temple

The poll results were clear: the time has come to retire The Shattered Temple from the official ladder.

I am actually glad they are short lately as they are starting to throw in a lot more new/good maps...

But it is a little short... Once they get the map pool good and they get more confident in changing maps, they could increase it to 3 months.

for some reason ohana reminds me of a certain warcraft 3 map with a certain familiar name. i love that sc2 tileset it looks really pretty





metropolis looked cooler when it was a thumbnail. i can see close spawns (if any) being a super balance problem kinda reminds me off slag pits. upon closer inspection the non-symmetry (bottom center base different color) is also bothering me lol!

I dont think that it has close spawns. I mean, they even took close spawns out of shatteree and metal because the community hated it so I don't see why ey would include it in this map.

I have never seen close ramp spawns on Metropolis. Not sure if that's an intended feature or if I haven't seen enough games on that map.

they disabled it after a couple of season.

NOTE: TPW Ohana and ESV Ohana are fairly different, enought o make a big difference in the way I'll be securing my 3rd. overlord scouting is pretty much impossible on this map and there isnt a lot of deadspace around the bases. I'll put both links here so that they are in the same post, feel free to add them to the OP.

Also you can not move a creep tumour down from the main to the 4th without creep already being down there (on TPW at least), the creep does not run down the cliff. Both maps are on SEA server, suggest you go have a look. Don't know how many changes Blizz will make to the LE version.

oh yeah i know about losing streaks i was 80 points of getting to the promo level silver to gold, and lost alot of games in a row :/

Thoughts on the blizzard modifications to daybreak and metropolis?

Supposed to just be rocks instead of the creep tumor at the islands on metropolis, but the front middle expo on daybreak is now a full base, not 6min/1gas.

Why would you change it from creep tumor to destructible debris. I thought that was a really cool feature on that map.
Changing the 6m 1g to 8m 2g changes the balance of daybreak significantly i think...sounds like a pretty silly decision.

Thats a horrible change IMO, pretty much every attack path goes through there, its an obvious choice for terran to take it now. T.T

I already use that as a third on daybreak in TvX as its so easy to defend da fuq blizz not that i am complaining. GM time gents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pictures of the maps (Metropolis LE, Daybreak LE) on us.battle.net look exactly like their GSL counterparts.

Daybreak even has the 6m1g 4th.
