Hi guys, I would just like to grab initial interest/sign ups for a Brood War tournament for fun with sc2sea community members!

I was thinking we would run it on iCCup with anti-hack and lan lat and the format would be as follows:

- 6-8 "captains" nominated from the best players to sign up
- Captains take turns "drafting" players from the rest of the signup pool to their team
- Team of 4-8 players depending on signups
- Captains and teams then vote on a name for their team
- Play on Thursday nights 8-9 AEDT when SEACL would have been on, which will be a free timeslot while the individual tournaments are running again
- Team format like SEAL with 4 individual matches and then ace match if the games are 2-2
- Determine lineups on the day, meet in a chat channel op [TA]

Wouldn't it be better to use the sc2bw maps? because you can tweak the settings to make it full bw, and also it would allow more people to join ^^

no offence but SC2BW is trash, it's nothing at all like playing real BW.

Yes, and I believe you can find the full client on iCCup if you wish to do so though we can't link it here. You're better off buying it though, it's like $10 or $20 tops :/

20 signups so far, a good start! That's about 3-4 teams worth. I think an ideal amount would be 40-50 signups for 6-8 teams and we're looking at starting in about 3 weeks!
