SC2SEA Guild

We will be running a full scale guild in Diablo 3. Our guild will function similar to good WoW guilds, have events, raids?!, channel, member list, classes needed, regular announcements, a TS/Vent server, etc. Will be cool to see us come out in full force repping sc2sea in another game!!!!

SC2SEA Guild Goals

• Low to High skilled player clan - The top guild players will compete in PvP at the very highest levels on the server.
• Mature, manner guild respected by all of battle.net
• Extremely fun guild to be in with many like-minded individuals!

Of course Higher skilled players are preferred but it is NOT a requirement. Being a mature and mannered individual however is and it will be the most important criteria to gain acceptance.

The Barbarian is a straightforward brute-force fighter which devastates foes with mighty power. It will also devastate your left mouse button. Its a class for real men, as Maynarde would say. You get into the thick of the action without hiding behind girly aprons and bows. Does not come with a horse.

Demon Hunter

The Demon Hunter is a new class being introduced in Diablo 3 with some assassin like skills but its mostly played through the use of ranged weapons so if you like to stim marines and kite and lol @ protoss then you probably will like this race. Reminds me of the WoW hunter and if LOTR's Legolaz is your cup of tea this is probably the closest class to him!

Monk

The Monk is another melee based class. It appears to rely mostly on fists and fist based weapons but it possess holy-light abilities with allow for healing and other defensive skills. Reminds me of the WoW Paladin.

Witch Doctor

The Witch Doctor is a summoner / caster hybrid class that can bring to life stuff like zombie dogs without the need of dead bodies like D2's Necromancer and it also posses an array of spells like Haunt which is basically chain lighting. Reminds me of the WoW warlock.

The standard "pure mage" class. Fragile hit points but having with the highest AOE / damage output. I personally find this class the most fun to play as theres lots of variety and we get to shoot and stuff with our silly wands from far away places without getting our hands dirty. I also think mages have the highest skill ceilings. Expecto Patronum!!!!! Pretty much closest to WoW mages.

As of now minimum joining requirements to be in our guild is to just have a good reputation on SC2SEA. Probably all of the interested members as listed above will be accepted into the guide. Should we get too big too quickly or ever need to rectify it, we will add more conditions to joining.

I wont be able to find runescape / maple clan mate as it was too many years ago.
I play with classmate during that time.
As for dragon nest , i joined public guild till lvl32 patch when i stop the game.
However , i still play dota with some friends sometimes and some of my them i know real life also confirm playing D3 when release.

When the wizard learn the demon magic,it corrupt the user and the soul.
Hence the witchdoctor is born.

I guess I was thinking that the Diablo part of aLt could be distinct from the Starcraft 2 part, and therefore joining the Diablo part of aLt would have nothing to do with the SC2 part. However, in a practical sense I reckon it would be too confusing.

Was tempted to call it the aLt division but that will not be the case. This is because not everyone would like that and people have their own clan / affiliations from their SC2 days. I kinda wanna put that pass us for Diablo 3 so we can all join as one big awesome guild which represents the best from every corner of our community without drawing any lines or boundaries. Except the manner line. Yea douches can stay on the other side for all i care lol.

If you look at it from SC2 perspective it would be similar.. everybody within a clan/guild can't necessarily participate at the same time in the same activity (4v4 max unless FFA) but being part of a larger group/community enables smaller groups within that to form parties, do activities and learn from each other through communication. Although only 4 people will be able to be involved in any given "game" at any given time, the wider community base within sc2sea will allow for communication within Diablo 3 - and potentially other activities as Blizzard releases new content and multiplayer/guild support.

Just a question though, is the learning curve really steep? I know it is a bit embarassing (and sad imo) but I never played any of the other diablo games, so I don't really know what is going or how to 'play'. I've played a bit of Torchlight but I just went around, killing stuff :P

After looking at the classes, I'll probably try either the monk or demon hunter; just was wondering if people could help me out a bit when the game actually comes out

Borrow someone's beta key if you can, or get one, and have a go of all the characters beforehand. It's not hard to pick up the basics quickly though ^_^

Diablo II: Sunk thousands of hours into over the years, got Amazon, Paladin and Druid into 90s over time.
StarCraft II: I suck on ladder, but I do the whole achievement scene pretty well, kinda my thing. Profile here.
Diablo III: Played my fair share of beta, followed the game very closely.

Been providing content in my little niche when I can on YouTube.com/ScottishMoo

I also occasionally rescue cats that are stuck in trees, only on occasion though. I don't help old ladies cross the road though.

I doubt I'll make the highest levels of PvP play, but you won't find me being inactive as a community member. That's for sure.

Server = The Americas
Clan tag = d3sea (can anyone confirm if you can have numbers in the name?)

Would be nice if this information was confirmed before servers go live.
P.S I heard EB games will allow you to buy the game May 15th (Tuesday morning 9:00AM) but depending on your time zone servers wont unlock until later in the day.

Below I have pasted a blue post giving more information as to which times the server unlocks for Australia and New Zealand.

I read at one point that your name will be identified via your account name rather than what you call each of your characters. Not sure if they changed this in the end. So I might call my account Delraich, but call my barbarian Bob (or whatever). Would the d3sea go in front of my account name or character(s) name or both?

This is when the alternative supplier we are getting the codes from has been allowed to release it. (We are getting from 2 distributors, one just for the SG and one for everyone else) So I will get the codes in the afternoon but can't release it till the official time given from blizzard to my international distributor.

This is one of the things the new Battle Tag feature is being used for; a single account name that you can be identified on without the security flaw of revealing your login name. From what I have seen in the beta, everyone will see you as your Battle Tag. Your individual character names will only appear on your character select screen.

On launch day I suggest you guys head straight to channel #sc2sea, add up each other and host games in the format like

room name: sc2sea1 password: sc2sea1

and so on so it makes it easy for people to just hope in your games, if they don't have any friends online.
