Thanks Frog, in his version he snuck in an extra map win for TA.. so nice. But also took off a loss for QED.. this is why we don't let froggy run the T5 tables >.<
Also, Perth Penguins are not AsG -_-
Just a note of the league table - it is the team managers job to make sure weekly results are reported and updated correctly. At the end of the season I will be asking each team manager to check the weekly thead results add up correctly to the overall table (Links to each week can be found in the T5 Thread) - it will be the responsibility of each team manager to check for these errors.
Any caster interested to cast one of these games, please let us know!

What an interesting last week we have had. Usually i go down the list in recapping the games for the week, but this week i think i will start from the bottom:-
TA [4] def Fusion Slugs [2]
A fusion slugs team without BenAD was defeated by TA, no massive surprises here. with Chadman and Minimat in the team, i always thought TA would get at least three points, but when you look at the score you see that the Slugs could have got a lucky draw against the top of the table team. I have said before i was excited to see the bronze random vs random of SonsofTundra vs Kalikah, but it appears that Kalikah played zerg. Still SonsOfAnarchy got 1 game in a losing cause, and if only that third game had gone his way, maybe we would have been talking about the 3-3 draw. Dele beating Rogue is a good result for the Slugs, and Zomgrofl, while winning no naming contest, was good enough to get through TAEaron ( a league higher, but it was zvz)
The Ta juggernaught continues and this week became the only undefeated team in the comp. the Slugs season of "really close, only one or two more game going our way would have changed it" continues. There have been so many times i have said "the slugs could have got the points if they had just won another point". but dont worry slugs, use the experience to smash them next season.
HoH [3] draw Fade [3]
While Fade have had the weirdest season of them all, getting into a great position and stealing those draws is starting to show off - a respectable 7 points to be within striking distance of 5th. It is hard to get excited for a team that has that man draws, we have once again seen a really good performance by Welshy and deadpixel. When you look at the tier 5 names for long enough, you see the guys that are winning a heap, and Welshy and deadpixel feel to me that they have been doing the job all season long. Could one of you Fade guys give me a hand and post the season stats for your players?
But this was a great game for HoH to sneak in the draw, as it doubles the team score for the wooden spoon. While two points is a rough season, it is the same score that TCP are on. get a win or two, and suddenlt that 2 points turns into 8, and you are back in the hunt. Venom once again gets the points when it matters, smashing through psynapse 2-1. Venom has lost a game in SEACL, but i dont think it was PvZ - somethin tells me that is one of his better matchups.
Overall, a great result for two teams that didnt deserve a loss this week.
QED Krrn [2] def Perth Penguins [4]
This was one of the more contraversial matches of the week, with Moosable getting a walkover because his opponent was unable to play thursday. I dont really have much to say on the situation, it was all resolved before i found out about it - but grats to Krrn for being such a baller and accepting the decision, i know that if i was the leader of this QED team, i would have been much more unreasonable. Add to that, Krrn beat a gold to secure one of the two points for his team (against a guy a league higher), it shows that he can play as well as be really manner. Krrn has been manner throughout this season, and i for one am really glad to have him in the comp. The diamond match of no 4 would also have been a goodun with schnitzel beating MrCrow 2-0, i bet he didnt think he would go down like that when the teams were being submitted.
But this week is about the penguins. drama aside, they got three points without having to play that game, and at the very least deserved a draw (if not the win). Head was able to beat the very good Jenkins, and Frisco got through Cottonmouth that i always see practicing.
I really like the Perth Penguins. Although they have had a loss to the MIxed Lollies, if they can beat Zerocraft and TA on the way home, there is a chance for them to win the entire season. But that is because...
ToR [4] def QED Mixed Lollies
I know this is the match you want me to write about, a massive underdog defeating a team that suddenly looked like it was going to smash the entire comp. It cannot be understated what ToR did last thursday - they beat a team that drew with TA, beat Perth Penguins, and smashed Zerocraft. Where last week i said that the Mixed Lollies were pound for pound tougher than Zerocraft, JoFritzMD beating Fridge is what has set this win up.
Aside - how did jofritz get so good?
I really like the tier 5 competition. The fact that every single active player in the Zerocraft team has been promoted shows that you give players a chance to talk and something to compete in each week, they will get better. There have been plenty of guys that have done it this season, Schnitzel, clsSmoooooth, Navic, guys that have really got better in both skill and division through the season, and JoFritzMD is no exception. Add that he has sponsored the tournament, and you have to ask - did he pay that money to get better himself and drag us all up with him? He has given 11 teams of BSG players a chance to play each week for something they want to win. And it really is different to the BSG league each saturday night, because a loss in this is much MUCH worse than getting knocked out of a tournament. You havent only let yourself down, you've let the team down. Some players have dealt with it and got promoted and put in amazing efforts, some have gone inactive. But it is what makes out little tier of the competition so good - we all started out with BSG teams, and now we have what - SGP teams? We have as a league moved up a single division, all driving each other to get better - which i think is pretty special.
But back to Tor QED
Upwaiting and ReverseCure are both fantastic - and it was on the back of these players i predicted that Mixed Lollies would get home. Breadfan's win must have been a good'un, i know his TvZ is pretty good, but didnt understand it was good enough to get through Cold. Beware fellow teams playing Breadfan, AsGChobo has been coaching old breadfan - if he ever stops playing 2v2 i really think he will get to plat and diamond pretty fast.
The loss by QED Mixed sweets really opens up the competition for the top 4. As i said above, the losses of Zerocraft and Perth Penguins to them really means a little less now. If they finish the season undefeated both of those teams could get into second if not first.
QED mixed lollies have now let their fate on the ladder be decided by the other teams - it now depends on the zerocraft, TA and Perth Penguins games. I know that no team likes to leave their fate in other people's hands, but at the same time good on QED for giving everyone a go. It is a fun competition after all, and even if they finish second instead of first, the QED Mixed Lollies team has so much to be proud of this season.
But then we talk about ToR, whose season has suddenly come alight. Can they continue the run against Zerocraft this week - if so they will be considering moving into the top 5, and will take massive momentum into next season given where their season could have possible ended.
Zerocraft [4] def VB_Sober soldiers[2]
You see the game score and think "oh yeah no surprise here" until you realise that it was 2-2 in game score after thursday night, with the Ace game to be played on Sunday, Mazei vs Dead. Although it was plat vs gold, Dead was in fantastic form, and Mazei hasnt been playing so much due to commitments outside of starcraft. Although it was a 2-0 score, i know there were a lot of very nervous people in Zerocraft, people that were secretly praying that we wouldnt have our second loss in successive weeks. But Mazei is a boss zerg, and got us home
there were a heap of good games this week in the matchup, with Zeffrin taking out Rythos (who has won really big games for us in the past), and zeffrin was a league lower than Rythos. Talking to him after one game, Rythos said "i was ahead on tech, and macroing better i thought, we engaged but then suddenly my army was gone". That is usually the sign that your opponent is pretty handy - maybe there are big things in store for zeffrin if he sticks with it. The other PvP king this week was Unique beating Etheryu who also has great PvP results. Not a massive surprise here, as Unique is hella good, but Etheryu is pretty good also - woudl have been a great match
But then we have the winners for zerocraft - arnor who is still undefeated this season i think with like 5-0 match score, and SmokyMcPot doing the job leading us out. Smoky has been away for the first half of the season, and we are hoping he has plenty of juice in the tank to finish off strong for us winning plenty more games
Interesting side note - Mazei is probably out for the rest of the season, leaving Zerocraft with 3 plats max, one of which is on holidays. i think ToR has a good shot of winning thursday night depending on the team we can rustle together, but with DoT also having the rest of the season off, we are suddenly getting really tight for players. might be time for the analyst to step up and start winning a game or two?
Volition out

Upwaiting and ReverseCure are both fantastic - and it was on the back of these players i predicted that Mixed Lollies would get home. I was amazed when I played Cold in match one. I did everything right with my opening, I did a ton of damage early, but somehow he came back and won it with his distinct mutalisk-less style. A bit rattled at having lost a game where I played so strongly, I went on to take the second game, game 3 came down to the wire. I 5 raxed him and he held it (he picked a 2 player map which I thought meant some sort of bane bust was incoming), however I managed to do just enough damage that we were about even, and we desperately scrambled to recover our games. My gut felt heavy as I started to realise that I was turtling up on 2 bases, he was doing everything right to deny my 3rd. I was losing. When my natural was just about mined out, I decided to do one last desperation push and hopefully secure an expansion on its back. I managed to catch his army unaware and killed off his ultras, and all of a sudden all he had was drones. I honestly feel like I stole that series, Cold played extremely well has by far the strongest ZvT I've come across
Im very proud of my slugs, its great to see them gettings win and gaining confidence. Im sure one week soon we are all going to be in the zone and pull off an upset draw or win
Place your best Punters, the SEA bets are up.
I'll try and do the little write ups for DeathWing later tonight.. (don't expect the match ups done by 9pm either.. I've hardly recieved many 3-4 tops.. and I'll be busy tonight.
Some really interesting teams this week following the results of the interesting games last week. quick prediction as i dont really have time this week:-
Zerocraft v ToR
ToR have come out with what looks like their A Team lineup. with Breadfan, who really is playing at plat lvl, leading them off, this ToR team is looking to KO another of the top tier of teams, and really mess with the top 5. This is a seriously scary team from ToR, any of these 5 players on their day could have been the ace for ToR throughout the season. the fact that 5 are all in the same team.... scary. What's interesting though is that they havent swapped out two players from the team that beat Mixed Lollies last week, with Suipr, Breadfan, Deathsfang and JoFritzMD all backing up.
The question is, what can Zerocraft muster against this opposition? After being pushed waaaay too close against VB, and a demolition by Mixed Lollies (that ToR were able to beat), Zerocraft may be headed into this matchup as the underdogs - which is a strange enough statement in itself.
Look for big games from Spazznx , Suipr and Breadfan - these three games will probably determine the fate of the match. Deathsfang is really bloody good, so i would be plesantly surprised if SWAT is able to get him. And that only leave me and JoFrtiz, which i think will be a 2-0, one way or the other
Prediction: Weird game to come. I wouldnt be surprised whether it is 4-2 either way or maybe either 3-3. Zerocraft are trying a new guy in the form of Midas, so a bit of an unknown quantity.
Penguins v VB
VB are coming off a close few weeks, only just being pushed out my Zerocraft during the last game last week. But this week unfortunately they are up against a team that may finish first or second in the comp, with a stronger lineup than VB have been facing lately. the Penguins. These guys just dont lose, and they dont really look like losing any time soon. I think VB will just be outmatched in this one.
Will be interesting to see whether Zeffrin can follow up on his win last week against i random player i dont think i have seen before - invaderzim. However, no Dead and no Unique makes it pretty hard to pick VB this week
Prediction: Penguins 5 to def VB 1. Just cant see the Penguins letting VB into this match
FaDe v Mixed Lollies
I really expected Mixed Lollies to pick a different team this week to bounce back from their shock loss to ToR - but they have persisted with 4 of the same players, being Reaper, Upwaiting, Cold and Fridge. ReverseCure, despite winning his game last week, got the week off.
For Fade i have been saying it for weeks, but i really like deadpixel and welshy - and according to rezyn's stats these guys have been the stars for FaDe in what has been a rough season.Dont be surprised if these guy guys sneak in two wins from the 3rd and 4th spot. salsaVision is also pretty strong in the ace position.
But Mixed Lollies are at the top of the competition for a reason, and Fridge's PvT is really good - so i think he might just have too much for salsavision. but that means 2-2 with the first and second matches deciding it all. And all 4 remaingn players are a bit of an unknown entity to me.
Prediction -i think this one might be an upset - 4-2 to Fade or a draw, with Fridge smashing through the ace match
TA v QED Krrn and Co
Last week, ToR showed us that no team was unbeatable, and i feel that Krrn and Co have come into this week with that same attitude. with two plats and a diamond, they have pretty much brought their A team to the table to try to get QED back into the black. With a tight loss to the Penguins last week with a weaker team, QED has the team to get the job done this week.
That being said, TA remain the favourites for this week being the only remaining undefeated team in the comp. But look at it this way:
- TA put their diamond in 4th spot, QED put theirs in 5th. 4th and 5th games are therefore vital to determine the match. for the Ace, Edarus is really good, but Schnitzel i feel is a whisker better. depending on who prepares and the maps, this one could go either way. i think schnitzel might just be a touch better - 2-1.
- for the fourth game, we have a zvz. Marine50 is a diamond, which is fantastic in iteslf, but Jenkins is really good at zvz also, disposing of Mazei from zerocraft 2-0 only two weeks ago. zvz is such a hard beast to predict, so i am not even gonna pretend to call it.
- Edaron might be a touch too strong for Cottonmouth, but then suddenly we have the madness that is PvP between Chadmann and Toybox. who knows what could happen.
- then the other game is Ridiculisk (a good brisbane boy i believe) vs intoccabile, a zvz
Prediction: anyone's guess. Hard to bet against TA, but with all the mirrors (two zvzs and a pvp), as well as the diamond for QED being in the ace position, it could be anything from TA 1-5 QED, to TA 6-0. I have no idea what will happen in this match.
TCP v Fusion Slugs
9th vs 11th may not see that exciting of a matchup, but from the lineups submitted, it appears both teams are taking it pretty sersiously. in the plats section, we have BenAD & Bonik vs Frogmite & Navic. Thould be good games, unfortunately for BenAD, navic is hella good. I am not sure how much Frogmite has been playing lately, especially in tvt in which you are tested all the time. tvt can go either way. Just both proxy 2 rax each other - it's what i do.
The other games should be really interesting also - with zomgrofl coming off a win last week, and all the TCP boys being refreshed from the week off. That being said about zomgrofl, Krycek is pretty good for a silver - he might be good enough to take this one out.
So there are 5 mirror matches this week - which means the best team really should win. No advantage to either team, the best players from each side will duke it out to see pound for pound who is the toughest.
A win here pretty much puts the wooden spoon out of reach - which both of these teams really want. BenAD is hungering for his first win of the season, and it may just be up to him to win the ace match and bring home the points for the Slugs
Prediction: draw, or TCP 4-2. i just think TCP has a better team ono paper

Excellent write up again Volition... it should be a great match tonight for us, but mirror matches can be so volatile. Especially ZvZ and PvP... Almost all equal ladder positions too...
I really hope we can pull off the win tonight, we will do our best.
I also like to say a huge thank you to TCPKrycek, who volunteered in advance that they were only going to play two platinums to make the match a lot closer. Hugely manner and so I wont be upset if they go on to win

i've told arnor about this last night when i first found out about the results, but me and midas has agreed to "switch" games...so i think ill be playing suipr while he'll be playing ace...shouldn't be a problem since we're fielding 2 plats only anyways... thanks
does this count as a "substitution" btw?

But you can't play game 2 as you're plat, even if you could switch, you'd be limited to matches 3, 4 or 5. And you guys are different races :S What's the switch for?

Yeah Its the first ive heard of it (Spazz must have spoken to someone else?)
sounds like it could be messy, so until Ive spoken to JoFritz just go back to assuming youll play your original match up

I just got the phone call, wow! I left right after my games which were really fast and being sick and tired, i just wanted to get home.. But now I regret that. Slugs you make me proud!
naviC you are really good, great play and thanks for waiting and taking the time to talk as well. PvP sucks but I need to learn a few things from you there
Really sorry about the delays and the Jhedjuka situation (Unfortunately Jhedjuka is in hospital atm, looks like ligament damage in the arm )
Thank you guys so much, we have been treated really well by all so far, but with all that happened tonight, you guys treated us with lots of patience and respect. If I had to give a reward for the most manner team, it would be a really tough fight, but I'd give it to TCP so far.
SEA has the nicest and most well run BSGP teams and players, its great to see.
I like this one "the faculty or capability of conscious choice, decision, and intention; the will". This is what separates us from other beings, the fact that we are not instinct based any longer.
But in other news, Slugs. i have been a supporter for a while. TCP to bounce back next week. And good job Mixed Lollies on securing the win, love your work.

I talked my gf into watching a game that was casted of me from the ro8 of a GPD, and the commentators were calling me "Violation" for ages... she was like "you have to change your name"
i still think the guy on the ladder i came across with the name DateReaper has the best name. i wish i had thought of that
EDIT - JoFritzMd shouldnt your post say "some great game last night" maybe ZC to have 100% win ratio from this point on in the match?

OK now i know.... and when you know who i am i will ensure you get your names pronounced correctly.
LOL jks. Sorry will ensure all future casts with you in them are pronounced and the spelling is right
sry for saying i didnt know too much about you - when i read the reports of the matches for some reason i seem to focus on the 4th and 5th players a fair bit - and those are the only players that stick in my head. Like i seem to remember that Unique (or whatever his name is, that threw me a curve ball, VB Stokez or somethign), beat someone i thought was a good player a week or two ago, but i sorta get lost as to who shoudl win out of the silver/golds.
When my name gets pronounced (or written) "Violation", i always go "omg what must people think of me, that i have made my name Violation, that doesnt seem a very manner name." it is a like 13 year olds name - nothign against 13 year olds. actually thinking on it, 13 year olds shouldnt have the name Violation.
Also, sry TAEaeon and TAEdarus. when i am doing the predictions, i usually have a heap of tabs open, including the lineups for the week, as well as the results for the last week if there was something i wanted to bring up. sometimes i will go hunting for a result that happened, but not usually. unfortunately that means i get some names wrong occasionally, sry guys, my bad
feel free to pull me up on it in the future, def didnt mean to cause any offence to anyone. and dovahkin is a good name for a kid, it is only a matter of time until someone does that... if it hasnt happened already.
Most Improved Player Prize Reminder
So with week 9 next week we only have 2 weeks after that until the end of the regular season. i am excited about playoffs, but i am also excited about giving out the 1 month subscription to TGM for the most improved player (as determined by me and maybe chadman/maynarde if they want to help). Each team captain will pick 1 player they want to nominate from their team, and submit it to me via either PM or email.
I would like the team captains to also submit reasons (in dot point form please, as no paragraphs will likely equal no prize for your guy). If some of the reasons are really good, and the captain approves.
So captains and teams start thinking about who you think should be nominated, and start jotting down some reasons.

Yep.. gg to QED Krrn.
Great series of games, really close and I don't think the 5-1 does QED justice, very close to 3-3 or even QED winning..
My series vs tOybOx was a close one.. we him holding his ramp with force fields long enough for his DTs to come out game one, clinching the map thru my lack of detection. Then map 2... sorry.. hahah, Shakuras PvP - I go for the 4 min game play. Cannons behind their minerals. gg.
Game 3, sickest macro game PvP in a long time (takes me back to my games vs Fridge in Tt CC semis) tOybOx opened 3gate immortal with a three immortal push, vs my 3gate phoenix, while harassing his mineral line with my phoenix I only delayed his push, long enough how ever for my Robo to finish and produce an immortal (second one came out by the end of the fight) with similar gateway units but his immortal's floating in the air perminately lifted by my phoenix I was able to crush the first fight.. then ensured a big macro game from there.. great series!
Thanks to tOybOx and QED!! good luck with the rest of your matches!

Yes - as EvilSWAT works late week days and lives in Singapore - the time he can play on week days is 11pm - too late for Deathsfang - as Deathsfang was the player to miss the game time on the weekend, I gave ZeroCraft the option of taking the walk over - which EvilSWAT refused, saying he wanted to play the match... so through a sign of amazing manner from ZeroCraft and EvilSWAT I will bend these rules to allow the match to be played on the new arranged time. If DeathsFang is late - the match will go to ZeroCraft - if EvilSWAT is unable to make the match - the match will still be awarded to ZeroCraft on walk over due to DeathsFang missing the previously arranged reschedule time.

With regards to my match against Deathsfang, thanks to the admins and the managers of both teams for allowing this exception. The original arrangement was that we were supposed to play on Sunday 11 March at 6PM SGT/9PM AEDT. I came online at 5PM SGT to warmup but Deathsfang did not appear online that evening. I had to leave at 7:30PM SGT but I did alert Admin Chadmann, ZC's Arnor and ToR breadfan to report the situation.
I have sent deathsfang a PM in this forums but he has not replied to it yet. A walkover will allow ZC to take the win, but I want to take the win the right way with an actual match. (Of course, if the TA players rather me to take the walkover to respect the rule book, then maybe we'll be obligated to take 3 points and the lead in the league )
I will be available the entire weekend except for Sunday night after 7PM SGT / 10PM AEDT. Maybe we can get this "contentious" match casted at the same time?

you win = ZeroCraft on 18 points... TA on 19 points.. you'll be in third - but it will give you a good chance of the playoffs!..
