Graphic Design Requests

I was going to originally just make this thread for requests for my own images so I get practice with this graphics tablet I am borrowing from a friend, but I thought I might eventually update it to allow other (more talented) graphical artists on the site to offer their spare time to people.

With the large number of graphical requests in and outside of this thread as well as my dwindling free time I added this optional donation feature. Donators of $1 or more who are requesting graphics currently will recieve priority if they mention it in the donation comment! Note that you are not paying for my services or images but it just helps motivation and expressed gratitude! Remember to include as much specific information about your request as possible.

If you have a request for a piece of graphical work request it here. Remember to include details such as:

• Size (pixels)
• Base image (an image you'd like used in the graphics, or an image that shows what you want your like, or an image to trace)
• When you need it by
• Colour scheme
• Style/theme
• Use (see below)

Some graphics work that you might want could include:

• Stream overlays
• Stream background/screensavers
• Clan Logo or mascot
• Event Banner
• Forum Signature
• Forum thread headings/text

I encourage people with graphic experience to post their work here and what they'd be willing to do for free for people in the community as a way to give back! If people like a particular style they could request it from that member.

As for me, the point of this thread as I mention was going to be to get practice on the tablet, so if you want any graphics, logos or artwork like these below please post a request here! I mentioned this before on TA skype but I suspect you might not of seen it....

My sc2sea.com avatar, whilst a reasonable depiction of my features, is sourced from an older photograph of me before I decided to grow mutton chops and shave off the chin section. My attempts to convince nirvana that this is a problem have been fruitless, so my only option (other then to learn to draw myself, a talent I sorely lack) is you del.

@iaguz - would editing the current one just to extend the facial hair work? I don't think I could reproduce the great artwork of the original.

Antelope that sounds ******* terrifying but I can give it a shot haha. How I am doing it atm my drawings turn out like cartoon animation rather than realistic, even though I am not drawing them in a cartoon style or proportions - just the simple colours and thick black outlines Hopefully that's OK

Just finished the 2 images I was working on for today and yesterday. I had to get the T4 playoffs done quick to get that thread up and then I made this for TARogue, so I will get on top of the requests here ASAP!

Not sure what you mean cos those are all kinda different styles haha. Did you want it cute or mean looking, detailed or cartoony? What pixel size?

Erasmus was supposed to make a clan logo for the sc2 division of Ascension Gaming (AsG) after we won PDCL but if you could do it that would be sweet.

It has been suggested by a few people that I have a logo to stick onto maps I create and I am very fond of this little dude who sits up on top of my monitor and helps me when I make maps and play SC2. He was given to me by someone very special to me

I would also be sticking it on the loading screens for my SALT mod.

@breadfan I dunno what marauders look like because they are a disgusting unit so I will probably base it on some marauder artwork if I find a suitable or cool one!

Yeah I am still using the same sort of techniques but I identify what things make it look better. Also as you get used to using it you can do longer, faster strokes instead of being very slow which ends up choppy - so the lines get neater as you get faster.

I'm going to venture a request, don't need it urgently but would be nice to see what you can do ^^

This is a banner for my personal blog, so
Size (pixels) - 600 x 200 (not fixed, just want something banner-ish dimensioned)

Base image - Zergling

Concept - I want the zergling to be cute. Yes, a cute zergling. Your current style seems fine!
The banner is going to go on this site so for its background color scheme something that matches that site would be nice.
The zergling should be in motion, needs to look swift.
The deadspace can be filled with zerg insignia, other (smaller) zerg units, etc.
There should be the text 'crAzerk' somewhere, but the more prominent text should be 'this is alan's blog' (perhaps 2 versions, one with 'this is alan's blog', one without)


When you need it by - No rush. Can do others' first!

wacom intuos 4, it's a friends who got it for architecture courses but never touched it after first year so he is letting me borrow it. I am just doing basic stuff at the moment to see if I can tackle some of the other features it has later n_n

haha yeah I have the same one xD bbut I cant art to save my life lol, its awesome for setting the undo, redo, duplicate layers to the buttons for myself personally, really helpful of just pressing a button with it there insted of having to press some other keys and then go back (yeah I am that lazy :P ). I like the image rotation wheel setting too, the best thing in the world man!

* Style/theme - uhmm something like the picture from some of the kiasu books fading into an sc2 scene (would be cool if it was a protoss army destroying zerg army) as the back ground. Then in front put the symbol next to my name TCPKiaSu and the symbol

Event Banner.

*Size: erm something like your T4 Review banner but bit wider, similar length is good.
*Base Image - Liberty guiding the people only use everything above the dying guy's head. (i'll try to upload a cropped picture when I dl photoshop if you need it).
*Text would be TCP In-House Tournament #1 in Apple Chancery font (or a different old fashioned cursive font) to the left of the French flag, the TCP Logo to the right.
*erm whenever you have the spare time to do it, don't need it right now
*Style/theme: Steampunk style frame surrounding the picture (gears, piping and STEAM (not too much though).

well looking through the thread so far i HIGHLY doubt if it will end up crappy, but if u do say get drunk and mess it up worse thing that can happen is i dont use it haha

il try adding the logo to this post, but the logo we want is one that looks profectional, not too cartoon like.

the mascot was going to be a snake (hense the giant s on this logo) but after some talking a nuke for a background with the name in front would be nice as well

I really like what you've done for some of the other people, and was pretty keen in perhaps getting one made for myself? If you've got the time that is.

So that there is the base image, but if that would be too difficult to manage, anything to do with a Zergling would be cool! I like Zerglings!

What Im looking for is a stream background (For in-between games, like as a break image or something)
So approximately like 500-600 x 300-400??? I'm not really good at this sorta stuff, but that's the approximate size of the image im currently using and it seems ok.

I would like to have it on just a plain Black background, perhaps with a small iTA logo on it somewhere (perhaps a corner) and my player name, TAhackdZ.379.

Im really just looking for something simple and cool, that portrays a nice feeling of Zergyness.

If I haven't done your request it's because I either don't have enough information for it or can't think of anything so adding more info or giving me some inspiration could help! Also I am not sure if people still want some of the older ones so just let me know.

Also I am more motivated to do things that will be used for something, and these will get priority. Something like a stream banner or team logo compared to something a member just wants for themselves (like that parasite TABottles).

I had a go at drawing an obs last time but he looked like a probe so I binned it I'll have another crack but what do you mean by "shooting down a turret"?

Actually, scrap the stream background. But same thing although in a stream header.... you know the website banner that goes above the stream on twitch tv? Although the stream banner will obviously include my name as well

I've just realised that I won't actually be swithing to the image for game downtime that much really. So no point really putting that much effort into something that won't be used much.

So If I may ask for the overlay as described in the previous post and just the stream banner.

Oh and before I forget, the cutout in the overlay where the webcam usually goes... may I also request a picture to put there that has SC2sea logo on it? A mans gotta represent huh? lel. Feel free to put down like DelArts in there as well if you want It would be great to switch the two whenever everyone gets sick of looking at my face.

How would you feel about doing some banners and trophies for VB?

For the banners, we've lost the services of our old graphics girl. Is it possible to make two more of these, but with the text "VB Starleague" and "VB Open"?


For the trophies I'd like two sets of 1st/2nd/3rd/participation. The tournament splits after a group stage so we'll have something roughly equivalent to a Code S/Code A,

The current ideas are

• VB Cup/VB Plate (where the cup could be full of beer and the plate could have a stubbie on it).
• VB Carton/VB Can
• VB Keg/VB Stubbie

In any case there would be something differentiating the 1st/2nd/3rd - either Bronze/Silver/Gold or some kind of detail/ribbon coloured Blue/Red/Green. The participation award can be something fairly simple.

They should all say VBSL somewhere and not be bigger than what we used for our last tournament:

Haha well first of all make sure it's in the right aspect ratio and fits on your stream - if it doesn't you can take a screenshot of your SC2 game and send it to me and I can refit it to your screen size so it's the right ratio.

As I mentioned I am not doing this to make a living but the donations give me a reason to get through all the requests and motivate me to do some that I usually might not feel like doing at the time. Just donate whatever you feel it's worth to you if you want to n_n

EDIT: Also let me know what you want in each of the squares. One might have webcam over it but the others I can put in like clan tag or your twitter or something if you like.

Hmmm, now that I'm looking at that bottom overlay. I wouldn't really have anything to fill those squares really. Is it possible to take those squares out and keep most of it hollow (so you can see in-game unit selection/ portraits etc), whilst keeping enough of the custom border to cover the default in-game overlay?

Just a question also, do the hotkey groups show just above the overlay when in-game? I couldn't tell in the screen shot because you were an observer whilst not on player cam.

Could I ask for a small twitter logo with my twiiter link (@QEDBloodmyst) to be placed just above where the map is on the chrome part?

Lastly, the placeholder you have of my alias in the bottom right of the overlay. Is it possible to just completely replace that with that sickass QED logo you just made (the squareish one you made at the top of page 7)? That thing is awesome! Oh, and nearly forgot.... a small Australian flag on the chrome part above where the QED logo would go would be sweet as well. Us Aussies gotta represent!

Reposting request, don't have a clear idea of what I want but I'll try to be as specific as possible. Probably need to bounce some thoughts back and forth as you ask me more to get a clearer picture :S

Size (pixels) - Same as this image - can be smaller but keep the same proportions if possible.
Base image (an image you'd like used in the graphics, or an image that shows what you want your like, or an image to trace) - Something related to psychology or some generic stock photo of a background (e.g. this)
When you need it by: -
Colour scheme - White/ black/ blue
Style/theme - Something professional/formal looking. The image should be subtle and blended/faded, and not the forefront of the banner, like how Hut's one is.
The words 'this is alan's blog' should be in a corner.
The rest of the space can possibly be filled with random squiggles or whatever you deem fit!
Try to keep the raw file in case of any editions ^^
And if it's of any help, it's for use as the banner on this site.

Those effects are actually pretty easy. By logo do you jsut want it to be text saying QED or did you want some kind of image included? I'll start with the stream banner and then see if you like it and I can make it a bit bigger or something so you can use it elsewhere.

sorry, probably should have went into better detail. yeah we want it to say QED and have the sce2sea horse somewhere on it. and maybe some silhouettes of various sc2 pictures (race logos etc etc)?

$30 is heaps - that overlay didn't take ages - but only if you can afford it champ. I will make those changes probably tomrrow - but remember see if it fits your stream first! If I need to resize it I can make the changes then.

Is that what you looking for? It's at 1440 x 900 resolution (native res of my monitor).

Also, in the future if I do decide to purchase a new monitor that will most likely have a different native res.... is it much work to change the size to fit? I won't be buying another until the end of the year, but just wondering....

Haha did you want to think up your own theme or do you want the bloodstained metal as well? Just that I think bloodmyst would prefer an overlay that is unique for him n_n If you think of another theme that is about that simple I could give it a crack on the same sort of template!

OK I am getting back in to graphics a little bit, but if you request something like an overlay you NEED to give me the dimensions otherwise anything I make might be completely useless because it doesn't fit. I need the resolution you run SC2 at, and the resolution you stream at!

Also include links to your twitch, youtube, twitter, clan, etc. so I can add those in the overlay somewhere

Just did a request by loach, and have another coming for him anyone else who still needs overlays done let me know! I am not really doing logos or tablet drawings at the moment but may get back into it later. Just overlays or banners for now!

Lol thanks, I'm still very limited at the moment though. Yeah I use Photoshop CS5 but I did install illustrator and am yet to have a mess around with that.
