Mechanical Keyboard, help?

Hey guys, I have been using a DT35 for 5 years now and I gave my Blackwidow to my friend. I was wondering what were the most reliable keyboards out there and their prices and such in Singapore.

I'm looking for a tenkeyless keyboard with either red, black or brown switches. (Blues too loud for me).

I would prefer any keyboard which has the standard layout so no short shift key or anything of the such. (Tsk Tsk Steelseries.) I have been looking at a Camo Tenkeyless Filco for a while now and was wondering what people think of Filcos or if anyone can recommend anything better .

So if you guys can recommend me a keyboard which is avalible in Singapore please reply to this thread .

Best quality goes to filco (~150). Second best goes to ducky (~120). 3rd goes to steelseries/ttesport mekag1(tie) (~130).

I got myself filco =). All available @ sim lim go to 3rd story back alley. Cheapest price there.

Hey antelope, if you're looking for a quality mechanical keyboard(aka Filco standard) but wanna go easy on the wallet at the same time, i'd highly recommend the Rosewill RK 9000.

Here's a link to my review of the board.
http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php...light=rosewill

You should check out the reviews on geekhack.org too! GL!

Is the CMStorm Quickfire good? I was looking for a tenkeyless so the Rosewill isn't ideal

Heard pretty good reviews about it too. Just do a general search on Youtube for the video review or you can check out geekhack.org for a more comprehensive one. Very good bang for buck imo.

I have used this keyboard and personally I found it pretty awesome. It was a bit tough to get used to at first because it is definitely a smaller scale keyboard (no numpad etc).

I would still probably suggest looking at Filco or ducky or DAS

I see your from Singapore, bro . I was wondering if you knew the average price of a tenkeyless Filco in Singapore? I am really digging the camoflauge version of the keyboard.

The Rosewill retailing for $129 whereas the filco camou is going for $219. Do the math bro. IMO, the price difference is not justifiable when you're technically buying an identical product. If you ain particular about the brand, it's really a steal. Even the shop owner at tecdrome lvl 5 SLS recommended this over the filco and reported decreasing sales of the filco ever since they started selling the Rosewill. You won't regret. The shop welcomes customers to have a feel of the boards. Just try em and everything becomes so clear.

Hey, I'm using the CM Storm. Had it for about 2 weeks now. I'm not quite sure how to answer your question, but it's working well for me! My only gripe, and this is a personal thing, is the lack of a wrist rest (my previous keyboard had so this requires some getting used to).

Two weeks ago, I was in your position. Couldn't decide between the Rosewill RK9000, Filco (in my case Majestouch 2), and the CM Storm. In the end it was the fact that CM Storm is offered in tenkeyless, is relatively cheaper, and has good reviews that I decided on it. Thus far, no regrets.

Not sure if that helps, just sharing my thoughts on the Storm and what influenced my mechanical keyboard purchase.

I just bought a Filco TenKey-less with brown switches, tried a few at ACL and would definitely recommend buying it!

I use a das keyboard silent edition (not that silent) with brown switches. The build quality is sublime, I have actually dropped it from a fair height onto hard floors (lans and a very poorly designed bag) and it still functions and looks like the day I bought it. If you want the destiny style takakakakakkaka get the blue switches, normal edition but if you want some discretion get the browns, the browns feel sexy to play on, as im sure the blues do also.

Really you cant go wrong with the ''big'' name mechanical keyboard guys like Ducky, Filco etc, they all make tremendous boards

also look at http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/

if you want a sick MKP style chess board style, or just wanna design your own

Where can you get a Filco cheap in Singapore? I want a non-loud switch, such as Red or Black switch. No blues please .
