Everyone's doing it. After seeing the results of nRv and aLt's competitions, it became apparent that sc2sea has an abundance of skills when it comes to graphic design!

Poor old iWNG just doesn't cut it anymore.

So let's see what you've got sc2sea! There's a $50AUD prize for the winning entrant. I'll leave this open for a few weeks, and will give appropriate notice before the end of the competition.

Logo must include:
The text "Winter Nights Gaming"
A mascot would be nice, though not entirely mandatory

Other than that, it's up to you! I look forward to seeing your entries ^^

EDIT: Another heads up! Though our clan's name is Winter Nights Gaming, the tag is actually just wT. If you could either use the full name or wT, that'd be rad. WNG looks a bit too much like 'WANG'. It's uncomfortable

Hell, this took forever using a trackpad equivalent..

atm this is only a very very preliminary draft with absolutely zero effects. Tell me if the design is worth considering then I will add eye candies to it (glow, shadow, metallic texture kind of stuff).

The two has a slight difference in background color - one is brighter and one is slightly darker.

I'm actually pretty disappointed with most, if not all, the entries so far. ESPECIALLY when there is a $50 prize up for grabs. For starters, if your going to make a logo - at least do it in high resolution and make sure it looks clean with no staggered edges and what not. No clan/team is going to be willing to display a low quality logo on a shirt or banner. The logo represents the team and if it doesn't look professional, the team wont look professional, thus losing recruitment/sponsership opportunities due to negative impressions or what not.

It's called "vectorizing". Any logo and can be made any size once it's become vectorized.

Also, Flaunt's logo looks VERY professional, and Kalikah's logo is just as professional and not to mention the image she embedded is HUGE. You're saying they're not clean / high res?

Just FYI, I AM a professional. I spent the amount of time on it like I would on a job, around 1/2 an hour. That's what I'd charge for that amount of work. Want something better? Pay me a better rate - usually my logos START between $150 - $200. Not bad for 20 min of sitting around, bored and hungover, putting my precious time and effort into something, using my professional skills and professional level software. Before posting such criticism, please have a thought to the time and effort of those who have effectively donated their skills. And maybe you should have a go too, see how 'professional' you can make your stuff look.

Oh and you know what, it takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there especially for those who use these kind of comps as opportunities to expand their skills, in a NON JUDGMENTAL environment. So good on you guys for having a go and don't let one person's view stop you from doing your best

I know what you mean Aean, but I feel you could have phrased it a bit more kindly

Some designs obviously look better than others but thats the whole point of a competition. Making rules like "it has to look professional" wouldn't really help the competition. I think its important that everyone can have a go

Veeeeeery nice! I'm loving the wolf designs in particular!

Do you think you could do some examples of the third one without the trees and snow in the background (I find it looks perhaps a bit too cluttered) and maybe in a few different colour schemes?
