SEAL #2 has begun and everyone is keeping their eye on the higher tiers. Sure, higher tiers means better games to watch but everyone tends to forget that sometimes the best entertainment can sometimes come from the average joes.
A quick rundown on SEAL #2:-
The official successor of SEACL #1
5 groups or leagues (or known as Tiers)
An estimated 55 teams are participating
Prizes worth an approximate $600
SEAL #2 is, as mentioned, is divided into 5 Tiers which are:-
Tier 1 – Sharn Kemp SEA Premier League
Tier 2 – SC2SEA Championship League A
Tier 3 – SC2SEA Championship League B
Tier 4 – SC2SEA League 1
Tier 5 - SC2SEA League 2
The Tier to follow? Tier 5 cause that’s where all the (and a little bit of ) shenanigans will be. And if the last BSGCL was something to go by, Tier 5 will be a blast for all those who enjoyed watching us
The successor of a legacy, Zerocraft is comprised of players who decided to go freelance and show that you don’t need to be in an actual clan to be successful as their predecessors had shown.
Cited to be one of the favoured teams to take Tier 5 by its neck, iTA indeed has full right to be one of the favourites as they go in with a fearsome roster. This Panda really hopes they repeat the same success as their predecessors had.
Despite missing a few of their star players from BSGCL, is still a force to be reckoned with. Teams going up against them will definitely have to bite the bullet to make it past them.
One of the three teams new to the sc2sea , comprised of a lot of and and a singular , could this possibly the winning line up? () Who knows, only the end of the season will tell.
With veteran players returning and new players joining, are back with a line up just as solid as last season, if not stronger, to give all the teams in SEAL #2 a very, very good run for the title spot if not take it for themselves.
’s BSG team is not to be taken for granted despite the name. With almost half of their BSGCL team coming over to show their new recruits how things get done, VB are bound to give some entertaining if not surprising games.
decided to field a huge line up that they had to split it into two teams. Boasting a roster that some might say is close to unbeatable, they are favoured to win so long as they keep calm.
The other new team of three, Team HoH is fielding a team without a player! Could this be a warning to all the other teams that having higher ranked players does not you can’t win? Or could it just be the confidence of the players? Either way, this Panda thinks is the team to watch since Panda always supports the underdogs
And that is three out of three of the new teams coming to the sc2sea scene. An interesting name, Fusion Slugs do not look like pushovers and may potentially be the dark horse of the Tier. Who knows? Best way to find out is to keep an eye on them
is back with a line-up just as solid as it was in BSGCL and they are back ready for blood. And that attitude is what earns them the belief that they will be favoured to win.
Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, here’s a little interview with the Peoples’ Hero, MVP, Tier 5 Admin, the other half of MaynMann and all round badass, TAChadmann aka TheChad.
Hi there Chad. Do you mind if I interview you for a small piece I am writing for the Tier 5 of SEAL #2?
No, not at all. What do you want to know?
Well, we know how many tiers there are, so how many teams are there participating?
In Tier 5? Eleven. Overall? I think there might be fifty-five.
Holy !@#$! That’s a lot of teams. So, each tier has a prize for the winners each tier?
Yup. Each Tier on its thread shows what its prize is.
Sweet. How does it feel to be called the Peoples’ Hero of the Dox Cup #2?
Ah, it was a bit lucky to get through the brackets with the walkovers I got but it’s a title that I chuckle at. I hope that I can live up to earning that title by serving the people well!
Which you have, earning yourself MVP status on the forums and getting picked up by TA which if you don’t mind me asking, happened when?
The TA pickup? Well, I started hanging out on the TA TeamSpeak as a guest a month or so ago and enjoyed the company of the guys there. Then, riiChard (aka TAriiChard) basically begged me to join .
Well, that got me thinking about which clan I would like to join since QED and VB were both options for me. Even TCP, a clan with some great members, was considered. In the end I picked TA cause it was the most enticing with top level talking about strategies, being able to talk to them about those strategies and a large strong clan for practice partners.
And I am sure TA is happy with their pickup too seeing as you led Clanless (now Zerocraft) to a victory over FaDe in the BSGCL finals if I am not mistaken.
Yeah, I led the team but the team I had really made the win possible. Dedicated practice and a lot of improvement from the team took that team to the finals. And I really hope TA are happy too since I’m quite happy to be with TA too.
I’m sure being an all-round bad ass boss at everything helps too
*laughs* Yup.
So, now you’re the Admin for Tier 5 of SEAL #2. Who do you think are favoured to win this time around in your honest opinion?
Apart from TA, who are of course going to win, I think TCP and QED both have very strong line ups.
Which you have mentioned before in your own write up to the first week of Tier 5. Do you think Zerocraft, the spiritual successor of Clanless, will be able to repeat the same success as its predecessor?
I hope they do well but a few of their star line-up from last season have gone into the Tier 4 team and UpWaiting has joined QED. However, if they practice with the Tier 4 team and with good leadership and motivation from Arnor, they can do well.
Heck, who knows, Zerocraft to take the win in both Tiers eh?
I wish them luck but not as much as in Tier 5
So, for the final question. Who do think will win Tier 1, the Sharn Kemp League?
Of course TA will take it! I think infi and Herocraft will put up great results too. In fact, I can see a few other teams performing well in Tier 1. Ask me again mid-way through the season!
*laughs* You bet I will. Well, thanks for your time and congratulations on getting picked up by TA and becoming MVP.
Thanks. It’s a real honour for me to be an MVP as well as be a part of TA. I hope for the best that this season of SEAL, especially in Tier 5, will be great. I hope I do well in admining Tier 5 with Maynarde will be looked upon well by everyone. The MaynMann Team!
*laughs* Here’s to a great SEAL #2.
So, will you be tuning in to Tier 5? Cause if you don’t, you might just miss out on some of the greatest play in the SEA region.
