TEAM ELO RATING/WIN RATE
What formula are you calculating ELOs with. AFAIK the chess system is standard, and it uses K values of 30 for initial games, and still uses 15 rather than 10 for games where the player has an MMR under 2400 (to stop it blowing out at the top end).
Based on nirvana's new ELO being 2010 after 2 wins against a roughly even opponent, you used a K value of 5 and then didn't do it per game, specifically, or somtehing?
Seems like a really weird and non-standard ELO calculation... O_o

Yeah it's not standard calculation as i couldn't find the formula of ELO calculation.
So yeah it's not really ELO rating but i didn't know how to call it. Maybe FROG rating? Or FRUST rating?
If someone have the formula i am interested
Formula for ELO is:
R' = R + K(1 - (1 / (1 + 10^(Ro - R))))
where R is the previous rating, and Ro is what im using for the opponents rating.
K is a constant. The Internation chess federation uses K = 30 (when a player has < 30 games played). Then it uses K = 15 (For rating < 2400) or K = 10.
So for example, Nirvana vs. Light would be:
After game 1 (for nirvana) 2000 + 30 (1 - 1(1 + 10^(2000-2000))) = 2030.
And for Light would be 1970.
So After game 2 (for nirvana) 2030 + 30(1 - 1(1+10^(1970 - 2030))) = 2042.435
And for Light (1970 + 30 (1 - 1(1 + 10 ^ (2030 - 1970))) = 1957.565
I was actually intrigued by Nirvana's comment at some point in the past where he talked about an sc2sea thing like a TLPD. I'd really love to find some time now to write a system where we can upload tournament replays and parse them to find the winner/loser and update an ELO ranking table of tournament games...

That reminds me, I never got around to releasing my parser!
If Frogmite sends me the spreadsheet that it looks like this was formulated in I'll do it for Tier 3.

SEAPD is coming really soon, stay tuned guys
We received some nice donations this month, am gonna whatever balance we have left to help offset the cost of the coding, which is quite a sum. The hardest part for that was finding the ELO formula, which is very tricky and a pain in the butt to calcalute (dont think its possible in excel) so yea erasmus is right on the money, chess uses k=30 now a days instead of k=25 and I managed to find the vb formula for it and i passed it to the coder so all seems good now ^_^
Yea there will be a simple (optional) download link next to each result, so you can download the replay of every game that is recorded in the database (if theres the replay for it). This means you first have to upload the replay on the sc2sea site / dox's replay parser / any other replay site as per normal then just link it. Or maybe erasmus/dox can help whip up a simple uploading option and attach it to the SEAPD system.
Loving the work so far froggy, can't wait to see the stats at the end of the season.
I thought nobody would read that stat
Shame on me but i didn't check all the players score.
I just saw it and immediately assumed someone on xGKing would have more... especially with Jazbas and Iaguz having a Z in their name (I only checked those two, though).
nirvAnA clearly brought out boss mode for this league.

You can root for him this Sunday in IPL and NASL qualifiers.
Hopefully all the SEA players make a good showing in those two (Pig, Mafia, Jazbas are some of the names I came across while scanning the registered players list of both)
