SEACL#2 Registration thread
Note:The graphic work in this thread has been done by myself; they are not official and if someone can help me to make better stuff i'll be happy
He came up with the initiative to sponsor a series of tournaments to further the eSports community in Australia. I've asked him to extend this to the whole of SEA, which the Oceania region forms the majority, and he kindly accepted. As such, over the next 2 months, we will see the return of the SEACL with approximately $750 in total prizes up for grabs! $500 in cash is sponsored by JoFritzMD and $250 in product prizes will be sponsored by sc2sea.com. You can learn more about the generous JoFritzMD by reading his TL blogs over here!
Tier 1: "Sharn Kemp SEA Premier League" - 8 Teams
Tier 2: "SC2SEA Championship League" 8-10 Teams
Tier 3: "SC2SEA League 1" 8-10 Teams
Tier 4: "SC2SEA League 2" 8-10 Teams
Head Admins:
The SC2SEA team consisting of Frogmite, Maynarde, Eddie and nirvAnA will oversee and administer the whole league, with Frogmite taking on the major role in the general running of the league. They will be helped by other admins as well in the running of the individual leagues.
Promotion / Integration of leagues:
There will be 4 divisions for SEACL, each one corresponding to a different level of skills. This is to allow the whole community to participate in one big awesome SEA league. All the 4 divisions will work together with a system of promotion/demotion. What we propose here is to be implemented too for the SEACL season 3 and subsequent seasons, with the only difference being the teams that have been promoted/demoted.
How works promotion/demotion system?
At the end of the season:
Last two teams of Tier 1 will play Up/Down matches GSL style with the top two teams of Tier 2. The top 2 winners will play in Tier 1 for next season, the losers will be playing for Tier 2.
Last two teams of Tier 2 will play Up/Down matches GSL style with the top two teams of Tier 3. The top 2 winners will play in Tier 2 for next season, the losers will be playing for Tier 3.
Last two teams of Tier 3 will play Up/Down matches GSL style with the top two teams of Tier 4. The top 2 winners will play in Tier 3 for next season, the losers will be playing for Tier 4.
It sounds complicated, but it's not. If you are a team leader, then just register your team(s) in this thread as explained below and we will take care of the rest.
The 4 leagues:
Tier 1: Sharn Kemp SEA Premier League
Teams invited: xGking, TArcMSI , SQLT, inFiMiTH, aLt, Mski, SPR, Herocraft
(I'll still have to confirm with MiTH / inFi about that arrangement)
What is herocraft?
An old clan GLaDe is reviving and the final invited tier 1 team led by GLaDe & tgun. The majority vote wanted them to play in some capacity, just not necessarily as mercs. It's a great way of showcasing some of SEA's top unsponsored players to the sponsors of current and future teams. Glade can pick out some unknowns and bring them into the spotlight. To allow Herocraft space, the smallest team MiTH has been suggested to join with inFi this season, as both RedArchon and Indy are members of inFi already it makes sense. The format has been changed to require 5 players instead of 4 as a result, to balance this team as well to make teams be rewarded for having more depth.
Admins: to be defined Casters: to be defined Prizes: 300$+ for the winning team (the + is because the prize pool can only get bigger) Format: 5 players per match day including a higher weighted Ace match.
Game 1: Bo3 (1point)
Game 2: Bo3 (1point)
Game 3: Bo3 (1point)
Game 4: Bo3 (1point)
Game 5: Ace game: Bo3 (2points)
Draws are possible. Registration: 5 to 12 players.
Tier 2: SC2SEA Championship League
Teams: open to all, no 1v1 league ranking restrictions. Admins: to be defined Prizes: 2 TW/KR sc2 accounts worth $120 for the clan to share Format: Same as Tier 1 Registration: 5 to 12 players.

Tier 3: SC2SEA League 1
Teams: open to all, no 1v1 league ranking restrictions. Admins: Erasmus + Stallion Casters: to be defined Prizes: 3 TGM subscriptions worth $120 for 6 months Format: Same as Tier 1 Registration: 5 to 12 players.
No playoffs.
Tier 4: SC2SEA League 1
Teams: open for all, no 1v1 league ranking restrictions. Admins: Maynarde + Birnsy + Denile Casters: to be defined Prizes: Professionally Designed Clan logo Format: Same as Tier 1 Registration: 5 to 12 players.

By registering a team to the SEACL, you agree with the rules listed below. Rules have been made up after our experience from SEACL season 1, PDCL and BSGCL.
You must be ready to play your first game at the scheduled time. Not showing up or being later than 15 minutes will result in your forfeit.

Tournament administrators are free to join any game that they see fit. You are not to refuse entry to a caster or commentator and failure to do so may result in disqualification.
You agree that by entering this tournament that you will not publicly slader or reproach any of the staff or sponsors associated with this tournament on any public medium.
There are to be no spectators of any kind except the aforementioned administrators and the casters.
You may not include players based outside of Southeast Asia or Oceania in your team unless an admin grants special consideration.
You must own your own legal copies of StarCraft II for the SEA server.
The team managers must own a legal account of Paypal if they wish to receive their cash prizes.

So far the head admins are TCPfrogmite.365 but more may be announced.
So far streaming of games is based on volunteers and not every round or match is guaranteed a stream. There will be an official stream for each division. The caster will be free to get a co-caster or not. He will have priority towards other streamers.
The prize is a clan logo thanks to TCPmagik. Once the finalists are determined from league play it is the clan leader's responsibility to discuss creative decisions with myself or magik regarding their possible clan logo. Magik is very talented and is doing it for free, as a service for SEA community. Always keep that in mind when you discuss with him about your logo.
Streamer/casters / Admins wanted:
Admins: If you ever felt like contributing, there is no better time to step in and help then now. We will need quality help from experienced organisers and streamers. Send Frogmite / nirvAnA a PM expressing how you would like to help and your past experience.
Stream: There will be one official stream per division. We will only give this opportunity to regular casters as the whole season will take 7 weeks. The priority for Tier 1 will be given to Benji, as he presently contributes most to the streaming scene for our SEA region. You can PM me if you are interested to cast a division, which will be rotated if necessary among the casters should the workload be too demanding.
The SEA Clan Cup will be a single elimination tournament, with the registration being automatic for all the teams participating in the SEACL.
The teams participating in the leagues will be seeded in the brackets based on the tier they are in.
The format will follow a GSTL All-Kill format.

Week 2: Ro 32
Week 3: Ro 16
Week 4: Ro 8

Registration:
If you want to register a team for SEACL#2 you can reply to this thread by giving your team details. Please submit your full lineup. Players can be added later if the admins allow, but for now you are require to enter your full lineup in this format. See example below:
Team A
Manager ID/Code:
Manager Skype: (This is essential)
Roster:
Player1
Player2
Player3
Player4
Player5
The SEA Premier League (Tier 1) teams that will be invited are xGking +nGen, TArcMSI , SQLT, inFi, aLt, Mski, SPR & herocraft. Please submit your lineup below to confirm participation.
The team you registered will be placed between Tier 2 and Tier 4. We will make the placement for this season only, according to the level of your roster relative to the rest of the teams. To clarify, if your team is part of the strongest, you will play in the SEACL (Tier 2), if your team is part of the weakest, you will play for SEAL2 (Tier 4). Any dishonesty in your submission will affect your application chances. Be honest and submit a lineup that truly represents your clan please.
A player can only be registered in only one team. There is a limitation of 4 teams per clans. If you are submitting multiple teams make sure you group similar teams accordingly, all GMs to make one team, all Golds to make one team etc. No mixing of GMs/Golds if submitting multiple teams.
To keep things manageable, there are only 8 teams allowed per division. Should there be excess of applications, teams will be considered based on their activity, leadership ability and past performance / participation in our leagues. House clans will be given priority because in order to be a house clan in the first place, you have to meet those criteria. We basically want the league to run as smoothly as possible and like leaders to be "on the ball" and active - so submit your lineups now!
Others:
Dream Team Gaming will not be allowed to play this season due to having a majority of players who dont play primarily on SEA. We look forward to that participation in the future should they become more involved on a daily basis with SEA and our community.
If you have questions to ask, please first read the FAQ below:
How do i know in which tier my team will be playing?
The teams will be placed according to their strength compared to the other teams. Teams will be placed from SEACL to SEAL2 by the strongest to the weakest. We will apply a system of points to fairly determine the strength of the teams.
What happen if a team is not in the good tier?
If a team is not in the good tier, they will either promote or demote at the end of the season. They will play in a more balanced division the next season.
Registration is free?
Yes registering a maximum of 4 teams per clan is 100% free!
Why is it so complicated?
SEACL is a system that we will try to support on many "seasons". The system of promotion/demotion being here to allow teams to compete in a balanced division, and be an incentive, or a goal to reach for teams at the end of the season.
Why there is no more BSG/PD stuff?
There will still be a kind of BSG/PD divisions. Roughly the tier 3 can be compared to PD level+ and Tier 4 with BSG level+. We had a lot of issues with smurfing on BSG/PD CL, setting a subjective limit of skills is very hard to assume, either for admins and players. By removing this restrictions, we hope that players will always try to aim higher.
Who will be the admins?
There will be dedicated admins for each divisions(minimum of two). They will be responsible for running the division and solve all the problems occurring with teams/results... If you have any problem, PM them on sc2sea.com, it's their job to solve the issues.
I am not sure my team can commit, shall i register?
If you have doubts about the commitment of your players, i prefer you don't register your team or contact the admins. It's a pain in the ass to manage walkovers, especially if your team took the seat of another team.
Can i help to sponsor/admin the event?
Yes! PM nirvAnA if you wish to sponsor the event (cash). Even 20$ will help.
For admins, we will give priority to community members that have already ran competitions.
We know you have been waiting a long time for a clan/team competition like this. There was some difficulty coming up with the format but now thats been resolved we hope you will all be excited about this league and enjoy playing in it. Sign up now, clans from EVERY division are welcome!
Frogmite.

Submitting 1 more team for T3 soon.
Another question, is it ok to have such a big roster? If not i'll have to send in a separate team which will waste precious spots IMO so yeah.

promotion/relegation format looks very interesting. but isn't it better if the bottom 2 teams of tier X play against the top 2 teams of tier X-1?
i agree with this being more interesting depends on league size though too personally i think bottom team of 1 go down automatically and top team of tier 2 go up and second bottom fight to stay vs 2nd in tier 2 would be cool.
anyway crux is going to enter two teams that will be both masters levels but one will be stronger can they be in the same tier? both would be looking tier 2???

Yeah it can happen that the two teams end up in same division if the roster is very similar. The division your team will team will play depends on its strength compared to the rest of the teams.

Yup I agree with Stallion, Bottom team of Tier 1 and Top team of Tier 2 should gain automatic relegation and promotion respectively, since the top team of tier 2 had fought the whole season to get the top spot.
The 2nd last team of tier 1 and 2nd team of tier 2 could fight it out for the last spot in tier 1. This could help the 2nd team of tier 2 esp if they lost to a very tight finish with the 1st team in tier 2.

The other reason this would be good is it gives the bottom teams something to fight for aswell as making the league constantly move each season so that even if you lose tier 1 next season you can say you got into it and gave it everything.
We are a new developing clan and would like to try out.
We have some amazing potential in this clan and this will test them out.
We would like to be put in the lower league if that is possible. Thanks

Maybe we can increase the limit to 15 players. I'll have a talk with the admins amd see what they think. lzq you bring up a valid point, thanks we'll think about that too. some of these rulings are still tentative.
Xenomorph, need your skype details and CC code. Looking forward to your second team!
Update: Changed it abit, I think froggy and Maynarde will agree with this so im editing it in first. Also because Sharn our sponsor feels having just potentially 1 team switch will make divisions too static.
Last two teams of Tier 1 will play Up/Down matches GSL style with the top two teams of Tier 2. The top 2 winners will play in Tier 1 for next season, the losers will be playing for Tier 2. This applies for lower divisions as well.
yea sounds good we having an inhouse tournament to decide so will have our team here on the 5th of January as people holidaying til new years hope thats cool ^^
In the case that any team captain is not available admins can contact me for important matters or convenience via PM on this site (will give fastest reply) skype: "meatex_salami" or on bnet: FaDeMeatex.467

We would want to join this tournament. Our players consist of players well known in SEA, NA and KR servers. NEXSickness joined our team and is one of our top players who has defeated CheckPrime and has also forced oGsMC to a rubber match in the PPSL, some of our players also played in the APL and have reached the top 8.

Nalza, AriA, Start and Slog are all very clearly non-SEA players unless i'm much mistaken (I'm cetain about Slog and Start and AriA if thats who I think it is) not sure about the other players but those I named definately would be ineligable to compete. Hopefully you have enough SEA residents to have an eligable team

UpBeat is NrVHavoC, that's not fair if he plays in 2 teams.
wtf NalZa T_T..
nRvHavoC previously borrowed cZaUpBeat's account, he has no affiliation with cZa or DtG whatsoever! That's why I gave him an account with name change so he could have the nRv tag while playing and not have the burden of sharing an acc with someone else. (he had to return the UpBeat account)
Chewy please fill it up in the correct format. Click on "Edit" then "go advanced" and you can choose the icons from the box below. Or type it up for e.g if you type iGm it will come out as

How can I put the masters, flag, zerg, terran and protoss icons?
But whats the story/arrangement with KR players playing in this league? Anyone with a SEA account in a SEA clan is a allowed to play or only ppl like Soulman who has played in SEA for a long time are allowed?
Cos its pretty retarded if someone who has to borrow an account to play on SEA is allowed into this league. Thats like saying any clan could go recruit a KR GM to play for them? Doesnt make sense to me because some of KR names here havent played/ladder on SEA AFAIK.
I believe its "only ppl like Soulman who has played in SEA for a long time are allowed" since its a SEA competition after all. SEA residents or long time / active players on the server like TargA. teams can still submit but just know that at the end of the day the admin team will decide and we will probably go with the above rationale.
For Masters, type iMasters and it becomes like
For Flag, type iSingapore or iPhilippines whatever your country is. , .
For , , , type iZerg, iTerran, iProtoss

Sounds fair, and it would just affect the Ace matches I suppose. Tier 2 is actually sounding mad strong now with these Koreans lol.
Roster:
1.GM Australia mOOnGLaDe Zerg
2.GM Australia tgun Zerg
3.GM Malaysia Timber Terran
4.GM Malaysia Cobo Protoss
5.GM Malaysia Risen Protoss
6.GM Australia Shuffle Zerg
sorry i dont know how to do the icon thingies for league / race / country >O<!!!!
Also is it ok if we add a player or 2 in the very near future? or should i wait until our lineup is complete before i post this!?
Here is what we got so far!!!
Herocraft fighting!!!!
just add an "i" in front of everything i believe is small m

AsGZealo AsGKepler AsGThor Goosejuice Hazzerk AsGK (just switched race so probably going to fall back to diamond) Jayaiwhy AsGEman AsGArmi MilfMaMa
team name: Perth Penguins
note: this is listed in OP (and frogmite's 'update post' after i editted in this note) as an AsG team, that is not the case. merely a collection of teamless players from perth.
FaDe are also in the process of organising 2, potentially 3 teams. We're just slow.

Deadline is at the end of the first week of January. If you are serious about submitting a team I would highly recommended signing up as soon as possible, also makes our jobs alot easier.
TABag inactive and unreliable.
TAEaeron gold now.
TABottles is Gold/Plat I thought?
TAMahonanida is Silver.
and
I believe minimat should be in the next team up due to some issues that occurred during Season 2 BSGCL... I don't mean to hinder my own clan but fairs fair!

Hello , I wanted to Sign up my clan for this ,there are 7-8 of us . we have 1-2 GMs , and the rest are plat and below , which tier would we come under ? are we allowed to field players from all leagues in one team ?
since xgking merged with sqlt, MiTH has come to me saying they would prefer not to merge with infi.
Wondering if the last tier 1 slot go to MiTH, EVE or ToT, or expand it to 10 teams so it can include all those teams. Tier 2 would probably be 10 teams too based on the signups now.
Wait so the tiers are separated by leagues? As I thought u just submitted a roster and got placed in a tier after that... Some smaller clans may not be able to do that with our haveing very restricted rosters
theres no league restriction. teams will be placed into tiers according to their relative team strength. its unlikely that clans are gonna have like 2gms and 10 silvers but variation between 2-3 leagues should be okay
Yeah well our clan
Could possibly field a team consorting if plat gold and a smattering of silver and diamond so I was worried we would have to split in 2
you might wanna talk to us before just taking indy like that...
*update*
indy isn't part of inFi anymore so i guess you guys could just take him. Even though I still feel that it's stupid because you just take people who aren't even on your team into your roster. So I'm allowed to take people who aren't in inFi to play for us? If so, I'm going to add a lot of people on to the roster and play.

srry Jump but i don't think teams work by 'close friends'. If indy was in a team RA should learn to respect that. Whatever, he is not in inFI cos of it now.
Hello , I wanted to Sign up my clan for this ,there are 7-8 of us . we have 1-2 GMs , and the rest are plat and below , which tier would we come under ? are we allowed to field players from all leagues in one team ?
you would come under tier 2 or 3. we have a point system and will release the full details after the divisions have been sorted, so people dont try and manipulate their roster to get into a certain tier.
A big range in skill level in our team, but we'd like to remain as a team instead of splitting into a PD and a BSG.
We may have one or two entries before the deadline, hopefully it's okay!
Thank you =D
EDIT: Could we please get a rough estimate which tier we would be placed in? We will play our best regardless, but it'd be good to know beforehand! Thanks again

Reason: Question
Im only listed as a backup so i can take my name off, i dont really plan to play games.
besides its a different tier too D: ?
Does matter, like how SQL and xG Boys cant play for their clan in tier two, well provided you can prove your terran is a certain level Im happy to take you on board since this is your off off race and you're infact Masters, we'll probs need to talk to an admin, best to leave further discussion to PMs or the Zerocraft recruitment page though so we dont derail the thread

No masters player can be silver-gold level with an offrace. Their basic understanding of mechanics, their speed and their experience alone would make them at LEAST low diamond..
Anyway I'm surprised to see so many clans crawling out of the woodwork! Never knew some of these existed, like KFC and Starsoc. Going to be a fun and awesome event!
Signups close: 5th January

A little update of the teams signed up. Going to limit it to 10 teams per division so sign up quickly if you haven't already. We urgently need admins. Please apply if you're interested by sending me a PM.

Sharn Kemp SEA Championship Cup: All 50 Teams. Admins: crAzerk Format: Going to seed it so you don't get GM Teams playing BSG teams in Week 1. So it would probably look like this.
Week 1: SC2SEA League 2 Teams vs SC2SEA League 1 Teams (10 matches total)
Week 2: SC2SEA Championship B Teams vs Winner of Week 1 Match (10 matches total)
Week 3: SC2SEA Championship A Teams vs Winner of Week 2 Match (10 matches total)
Week 4: SC2SEA Primer League Teams vs Winner of Week 3 Match (10 matches total)
The top 10 Teams are determined.
Week 5: Top 10 teams fight it out as usual (10 matches total)
This leaves the top 5 teams. Now this is where the format gets tricky. Ideas?
Hello, we would like to know the status of our registration because our team is still not listed. Thank you
As i said to BASA earlier, i didn't have time to update all the OP, so some teams are still missing.
I will update the teams as soon as possible.
Both exo teams are registered no worries
Oh... woah - I'm a PD Admin?.. :S thanks for the confidence! I shall endeavour to do my best!!
Also, I'm OPENLY stating that I have a (very, very very low) Diamond account on NA that I ladder with Zerg (if I ladder on it more, no doubt I'll get demoted) - This is to avoid any Smurf allegations.
And also, I think ZeroCraft was gearing up for tier 3? with a few diamond additions - or perhaps they can post two teams? I'd say suman will have an update for this?...
Also, at this stage I can see TA's BSG team taking an easy top three finish!.. go TA!
What I did when I hosted BSGCL was go through the BSG Open brackets and find out clans, find the leaders and send them PMs. You might want to consider going over the threads for the previous 2 seasons of BSGCL and PMing all of the clan leaders letting them know about the latests season and instructing them on how to enter if interested. It might increase the participation for the BSGCL!

I'll take a look through Skype tonight and ensure all the previous teams who participated in the BSGCL series (two seasons) are signed up / signing up if they wish too...
3 teams in that area of skill seems a bit lax considering the numbers we had for those seasons =(

Interesting format for the SEACC, I can see your idea behind it, to allow teams to play as much as possible (hence only bringing in the 'big guns' of Premier League in Week 4)
But this will also result in an awkward 5 teams left after Week 5, as you've pointed out.
So how about another format:
(To keep things simple to type, I'll label the different Tiers as A, B, C, D, E, with A being the Premier League and E being the BSG league)
This is assuming we restrict signups for C, D and E to 8 teams each (which from the looks of it seems to be the case anyway)
Week 1 - D vs E in Ro16 knockout format, until 4 teams are left.
8 + 4 = 12 games
Week 2 - 4 winning teams + ABC = 32 teams, Ro32 knockout format (16 games)
Week 3 - Ro16 (8 games)
Week 4 - Ro8 (4 games)
Week 5 - Ro4 (2 games) + Finals
Hrmmm.. yeah I think the sign up period is a bit short and badly timed... No Offence but it can be seen in the BSG (Casual gamer level). They are on holidays, give them two weeks into the new year before starting all this!!... But pretty sure we will see teams from VB, QED, TCP and others shortly.
Format: Going to seed it so you don't get GM Teams playing BSG teams in Week 1. So it would probably look like this.
Week 1: SC2SEA League 2 Teams vs SC2SEA League 1 Teams (10 matches total)
Week 2: SC2SEA Championship B Teams vs Winner of Week 1 Match (10 matches total)
Week 3: SC2SEA Championship A Teams vs Winner of Week 2 Match (10 matches total)
Week 4: SC2SEA Primer League Teams vs Winner of Week 3 Match (10 matches total)
The top 10 Teams are determined.
An idea for avoiding 5 teams left issue:
If timed correctly, at the conclusion of "week 4" the league tables for the round-robin tournaments could be more or less determined. As a further incentive for finishing high in leagues could be using that for seeding, so that of the remaining 10 teams, the top 2 teams (ordered by league then ranking) get seeded into semi-finals.
Thus:
- Ro8 (#3-10, random seeding)
- 4 Winners play Ro4
- 2 Winners play #1,#2
- 2 Winners play Finals

Too bad was looking forward to that team but I suppose they can play with their original clans at least
Instead of merging with Xeria, SQL will not be represented in the SEACL, instead our players will go to their respected clans.
Yang / Sensei to TA
Ninja to aLt
HuT was from nGen and is probably wanting to be picked up but i haven't heard from him. Contact him if you're interested.
Note that as a guideline, the minimum number of players for teams Tier2-4 would be 8. This is to prevent teams from having walkovers (for e.g 5 player teams must be present 100% every week which is hard) and lead to withdraws halfway throughout the league and creating complications.
Please only sign your team up if you are 100% sure you will be committed and stick to the end.
Still waiting on those BSG T4 teams to sign up! C'mon peeps, wheres KA, BtD, QED...?
I think KA disbanded. Shadowz said in the Official clan thread that most were going in to Year 12 and wanted to focus on studies or something along those lines.

Pretty much, the few of us that are still playing may be joining other teams, I myself have joined ToR
KA may be back for 2013
After a long discussion, we've decided it's best to come to a final conclusion that the Sequential players will play with their respective clans.

SQLTtSenSei - TA #1

SQLTtHuT - aLt #1

We apologise for the confusion caused and wish Xeria and all the teams the best of luck in the SEACL.
Hopefully next season SQL + Tt will have our own team to play in the league.
What's the situation with the weighting process if people progress during the season? If a team has an overall pretty rapid increase in individuals' progress, will it throw anything out?

Yo, excellent question.
If players progress and get promotted during the season, then the team will be stronger and will be able to get promoted to the higher division.
The "weighting" of the teams is just done for this season. If a team ends up being too strong for its division, they will finish first and will be promoted for next season.

1. KFCTrinion
2. CbBTreAd (Unranked this season and the last, but last placed in Masters)
3. Luminescent

15. KFCYager
Team KFC's updated and most likely final line up! =)
We are very sure we can commit fully to each clan match with our 15-player roster!
how are game days/time decided? cause yeh...as i said above i haz school
Depends on which division your team is in...
Also, the lower the division, the more flexible the admins are/should be about play time.. because they need to accommodate for casual gamers with other commitments... Not to say other people don't too.. but casual BSG level players are on this game alot less than Diamond+ players.
However, I'm lead to believe that game times will be flexible upon prior request.

aren't KFC's individual player leagues a bit too spread out to properly put them into a Tier?
Our team doesn't want to be split into two tiers, mainly because the decrease in the numbers in each roster may make it very hard to field 5 players for each match (we are all at school still).
And our BSG players are not bad at all, many of the have been training hard since we signed up for this tournament, so all of them are expected to be promoted by the 15th of January!
I would also like to say that we will NOT be fielding the top 5 players each clan match but we will give each member a chance to play
I'm sure this will be done but I'm sure our players in probably the top 2 Tiers should get some nice exposure if we put a thing in the event calendar on TL that would be HEAPS SICK EH?
@Erasmus: Division 2 will be divided in two groups, but still counts as one level.
The winner of each group will be promoted, and the last team of each group will be demoted.

There's a -massive- skill difference between the top and bottom teams in that division though. If our aces are missing we could field all diamonds one week. Against teams that could field all GMs if they wanted.
If there's enough for two divisions, just make it two divisions... The way you talked about it before there was a 2A which was mostly GMs and a 2B which is mostly M. I think it even still says that in the OP.

Allright, spoke with nirvana and it seems i misunderstood the concept.
I restablished as original and keep it as 5 divisions.
I know that these two teams have changed.. for some reason the line ups have also changed since this, by those that are not the managers of the team... I believe all plats, apart from Jelly and Eskimo have droped to the tier 5 team (Edarus and friends)
sry I feel like our team ToT is a little bit isolated from the whole SEA community, even I (as a manager of SEA team)began to come sc2sea after seacl posted.there are some reasons of these: our English may not that good to integrate this community, we dont use msn&skype, and dont even have a sc2 channel like 'team spr'. these makes us so isolation TT. Look our rosters, most of our players(even gm) u may be not familiar with, cos we are in a small circles, which i think its really terrible.
But this will be ending soon! I usually hang in team EVE and team spr channel these days, and open sc2sea see what interest happen everyday. i find u guys are so cute, the admins of this forum and many tournaments(like nirvana,Frogmite, nemo, cute sry i cant list all of u)are really honorable.but i have to say when i first come here and ask why we dont have a clan league, some guys seems not very friendly, see my -3points T.T,what scared me a lot, but it was probably my english havent explained things very clearly and properly, hope i do better in this post^^.
I will open a ToT channel on the server like team SPR,and try our best to integrate SEA community, spr is our good example as a foreigner team, they did way better than us. I hope ToT will be a important component of sea,cos we are really a huge clan, even bigger than TA i think, we have about 20+gms,at least 50masters, 260members in total,of course the top players of TA are way better than us^^.
I know team ToT is known as a cheese team in sea, yea, haha, its funny, even all of us will definitely agree with this, we even name 5 players "5 SEA Shameless cheesers".
All of u may think we are underdogs of tier 1,yes,we are not the best and most of my players are in china in order to celebrating chinese new year with their families. so there would be some lag problems.
but i have full confidence that we will surprise all u guys, we will show our RTS talent is as good as koreans like what we have shown in wc3,some of ToTers practice in kr server these months(cos in china),and some of them are top master now. Two months ago, when ToT begined, jerry was the no.1 of ToT,no question about that, but now, i have some other ace choices.
i wil create a ToT official forum in sc2sea ASAP, for some of u may wanna contact to us and have a friendly cw.
sry again for everyone may read it hard cos my weak English.i hope i say clearly~but it took me 3 hours to write.
WE may not the best team, but we are definitely not weak team, what u can sure is, ToT is always friendly(may always cheesing) clan!!
Hey buddy,
Just wanted you to know as a community we welcome everyone mate. And Id like to extend an invitation for you guys to hang out with ToR man ^^. We are a nice friendly bunch and wouldnt mind the company :3

you're definitely not a weak clan, that's for sure. your english is pretty decent too! jump into [ta] on battle.net if you're looking for a clan war on SEA, i'm sure the TA boys would be interested sometime.

Lineups can still be changed over the next week, but you have to inform the admins.
New teams (aka those who have not played before in any of our BSGCL, PDCL, KOFs, etc) will have to pass a "compliance test" and you will be PMed shortly and are expected to respond ASAP just so we know we have commited teams/leaders that wont cause problems by withdrawing halfway through the league.
Admins / Referees / Caster applications are still open. Now is the chance to help out and be part of SEAL so send me / frogmite a PM!

And if this season is anything like last for BSG Tier 4 division, that is often self casted (members of each team cast events etc..) But if any casters want to get involved in some fun BSG casting - let us know!
Where will this "compliance test" be PMed? here in SC2SEA account or in our skype account? ^_^
We'll make a thread soon on sc2sea announcing for this compliance test.
We'll indicate in this thread the day, time and channel for this test. Teams will have to give me a roster of 5 players and those 5 players will have to be connected in the channel at the time indicated.
If your 5 players are connected in the channel at the time (up to +15 min) you pass the test.
If you can't get your player list connecting in the channel at that time (up to +15min) you fail the test. Failing the test means that your registration will be revoked. There is nothing worse than a team that can't commit and fake the tables, matchups,...
It sounds a bit strange, but as we get roughly 60 teams for SEACL, we just want to make sure all the new teams are able to commit to the league. SEACL is two month long, and we don't want to see withdrawal of teams by forfeit.
A news post will be made as well as a PM to all leaders on sc2sea. Leaders are expected to read sc2sea every 1-2 days to keep up with any changes.
Next tuesday at about 9pm AEDT you would need to gather 5 players you specify beforehand. As soon as you check in with the admin you will pass, your team can log off and your registration will be confirmed. I expect this to take no longer than 10 mins.
(This only applies the new teams who have not played in any of our tournaemnts before, clans like QED, TCP, TA, FaDe, all tier 1 teams (except eve/tot) etc are excluded of course as they have proven to be dedicated teams already in our previous clan leagues.
If the games are all going to be played concurrently how are the casters going to work?
I'm just gonna put my idea in.. xD
How about casters pick out games they would like to cast (maybe one or two from each level or something depending on caster #'s and so fourth) and those particular games get held off on until the casters are ready?
Or if we are gonna have casters per division the casters can pick X amount of games from their division they want to cast and those games are the ones that are delayed... with player agreement of course.
Lkori and Bigbird aren't actually Grandmaster, so technically we have 4 gm's and 11 masters players so I think we're going to struggle in the top division. However, I'm happy for us to be there

You can still update your rosters. This friday would be the very latest, but if you do update them post it in this thread to make it easy for the admins to update their OPs
Since I believe this is starting in just over a week:
When do we know what the map pool will be?
When are teams going to be informed what nights they will be playing? Is it tuesday or thursday or some random mix? This makes it difficult as it's easier to plan to be free every tuesday or every thursday so I'm available for this...
When are we told what the starting maps will be for each set in each round?
And when are we needed to submit the lineup for each round? (Be nice especially for the top tiers to know the starting maps in advance of submitting the roster).
In addition: is it loser picks map after the first set, or is it just 3 assigned maps for each set (similar to TCL)? If it is loser picks, are there going to be vetos for each match?
