After a somewhat tumultuous start to the platinum/diamond clanleague playoffs we're back on track for an exciting finals series. First of all, the preliminary finals match between the top two teams resulted in a one-sided victory for league favourites FaDe with a 5-1 scoreline over rivals VB.

The second chance playoff between the deserving 3rd and 4th ranked teams, after fighting so hard to secure their places over a tight middle-pack, unfortunately resulted in a walkover granted to AsG over the MIA crux-ToR. Despite a strong season, the combined crux-ToR team did not fill the organisational hole left by the inactivity of Erasmus due to work commitments but a red hot AsG still advance.

With the delays and walkovers hopefully well and truly behind us we can look forward to the following matchups this week:

Please join channel PDCL at the appropriate time to arrange your games. The administrator will be TAdeL#159 if you have any questions or concerns. A caster may be arranged for your game, and teams are required to allow the streamer/s in to the game. As part of the finals series, each team has accrued 1 additional player substitution.

Please Note: All playoff games will be Best of 9. So it will be the first team to 5 wins, not 4.

And yes both games are on the same night otherwise we might have people going away for xmas and new years etc. and it would just delay the tourney further. Everyone who was present at the correct time last time discussed the formats with me and it seemed that this option was OK with everyone so if you don't like it you probably should have turned up last time!

The 'correct time' as in two weeks ago when we said we couldn't make it?

Pretty sure there is no way in hell we can get 5 players, already have people away for holidays.

Champ, you wanted more than a day's notice and that happened last week so you got members ready. I mentioned in the channel that it's the same time next week, and a few guys PM'd me to confirm. If it's different this week and you can't get in touch with guys on holidays you might need to recruit 1-2 members to avoid the walkover (I will allow 1 additional Sub per team for the playoffs). Your roster is huge there shouldn't be a problem getting people to turn up if you can contact them.

I knew it was going to be now, just saying I don't like our chances.

We won't be recruiting extra players just for this, goes completely against our philosophy.

Of our roster there's maybe 6 that still play and aren't away. Chances of 5/6 being available 8-12 are slim-none.

It's not your fault, I'm just saying.

Cheers guys for a great season. It had it's hiccups and what not but we got through in the end and had massive amounts of fun!

Well played to VB and Fade, I wasn't there to watch AsG take it but I'm sure both sides played really well.

And lastly well done to AsG for winning without their star player in the finals....

You can always watch the VODs

I think there was 1-2 games in there where it lagged at big battles but I changed the bitrate and I think they should be pretty watchable.
