I think every Protoss from casual to pro level watched that GSTL series a few weeks back, in which CreatorPrime tore shreds off his opponents with his fast expand into double forge robo build. This build had been around for a while, but it was the integration with the 1gate FE style and demonstration that this could still hold terran timings in the first 8-11 minutes that was the true innovation by Creator. I noticed an immediate response from the pros, with players such as MC breaking out a similar double forge build in the following weeks. Blizzard has obviously seen this too, and like what it sees. Even more so now than before, the future of PvT appears to be turbo upgrades.

Ghosts? I'm certainly not going to complain!

Personally, I figured a nerf to EMP range was more likely (EMP/Snipe being 10, but fungal/feedback being 9 seemed a little silly), but that's okay.

The toss upgrade changes I'm surprised with... It no longer matches the other races (well, T) which only compounds the advantage toss already has in this department with chrono boost.

Yes, if you consider it range 12 when you are casting it with range 10 + 2 AoE. But you are only going to hit 1 Templar/Sentry at that range.

If you want to centre it on a group of units this doesn't affect the range...

If your comparing it to a feedback vs emp "who gets the first one off" fight, nerfing the radius is effectively a range nerf. I interpreted your point wrong, sorry

I like the girls reduction I'm a big fan of that upgrade its surprising the difference it makes until a ghost comes out lol.

EMP change is fair enough, as is the shield upgrade not being ridiculously expensive.

Don't see why protoss should get cheaper upgrades tho?

haha i guess he meant ghost reduction, thinking too much about girls denile!

I think the upgrades are definitely good in PvZ since zerg upgrades are sooo cheap, but now it seems a bit overpowered in pvt. good ghost change!

According to iNcontrol and LiquidTyler, saving 50/50 for each attack/armor upgrade beyond level 1 is really quite insignificant when it comes to a 3-4 base economy. And the shield upgrade is still not overly amazing throughput wise.
However, SC2 is a game of small timing windows and the gathering time for 50 gas is still a couple of seconds extra you have up your sleeves for a timing attack, etc.

i really do not understand the buffs given to protoss when they already have chronoboost to speed up their upgrades.. and besides, 3 def zealots are so hard to kill as a terran.. i really wanna cry now

Think blizz just wanted to make a really minor overall buff to Toss that wouldn't significantly affect anything in particular. This will be nice for toss earlier in the game, late game I'd say it would hardly make a difference.

This basically makes the armour and weapon upgrades cost the same as the Zerg, which would make Terran's upgrades the most expensive.
I really hope this goes through because I like my fast upgrades in PvT. However suddenly chargelot timing attacks have become a lot more dangerous.

All that needs to be done now is nerf sniper rounds a bit to make ghosts useless then i shall be happy.

I'm a happy toss. Never felt the need to rush for upgrades early on but now i feel more motivated.
Perhaps a shift in the metagame. Toss rushing for upgrade and terran just kills you before the upgrades finish because you invested your money in upgrades instead of units.

I think then again, I find it hard to win with Protoss these days, which is why I'm playing with Terran now. You have to count for Protoss have Shields as upgrades in addition to weapon and armor upgrades, so to max out a ground army, it's actually really god damn expensive!

I think EMP and 1 hit ability doing like 1000 damage to everything instantly, I'm not sure what to think about the upgrades though..

EMP Change is great, how big does that make it now? About the size of an Immortal?

The upgrade changes are very minor, I think Blizzard have been watching CreatorPrime in GSTL and then oGsMC at MLG and decided to nudge all other Protoss in the right direction lol

I'm just thinking. Would this generate a lot more double forge +3 attck +3 shield chargelot/archon pushes off forge FE's? They are nigh unstoppable as zerg already.

i love it, the match up on PvT i fell has being very underpowered for a long time, it shouldn't change PvZ much..
