Just wanted to announce that I don't have any interstate/international tournaments for over a month so I'm back to my old schedule of being free pretty much all the time! I am back to 100% dedicated time to my coaching and will be bringing the old quality of service which may have slacked off over the last month!
My rate is still just $20/hour with extra time if you get the packaged deal, but as I push further into the international scene and my time is limited by tournaments this price will be forced up so get in while I'm still cheap! (^.o) :P
Also many of you still have paid hours of coaching which you haven't recieved so please message me to use these up soon .
What Has PiG been up to?
I've been travelling alot recently, in the last few weeks I won the Brisbane WCG qualifier, went to Guangzhou to compete in IEM (got pwnt) and travelled to the Gold Coast to play in the WCG National finals where I placed 3rd (managing to beat 3 of the terrans who have caused me endless problems in SEA tournaments: Iaguz, YoonYJ and Rossi).
I have signed up with Tt eSPORTS as their SEA sc2 rep and now wear a 'Tt' tag on my account. They are looking like a really great sponsor (they are the guys that sponsor Whitera, Sen and many other international players and teams). I've created a facebook page for myself aswell as a twitter and started building my social networks through these also:
At the moment my stream is still limited to coaching due to lag problems but I am determined to upgrade so you guys can watch me play korean ladder where I have started to face many highly ranked Korean grandmasters including a few of the code S and code A players. This weekend I will definitely upgrade my PC even if i need to borrow money to do so. Then I can bring you all the Korean and NA action .
I'm broke ... (Edit: I borrowed some money and my old coaching guys + some new ones are coming back to me so I should be back on my feet soon! Sorry for the QQ message I was tired and stressed!)
On the topic of money, I'm completely broke. Travelling around and training all the time rather then coaching has cut into my savings (Guangzhou especially, had to pay for everything; flights accom etc.). However it is starting to pay off with ThermalTake seeing my potential and pitching in with all the great equipment I need and support getting me around to future events including the upcoming Arena LAN (looks sick!). At the moment I'm faced with the prospect of upgrading my PC so that I can continue to build support for myself and my sponsors, paying rent, and paying a RIDICULOUS electricity bill. A note to the unwise, never EVER live in a house with 4 gamers that all have long showers and have tvs, pcs and laptops going at once . Doing all this with $20 in my account is seeming like an interesting challenge but I shall rise to the task!
So basically this giant whining session is saying I can level any account of any race for $$$, practice sessions too or whatever other requests you may have! Also I'm very focused on my coaching at the moment so sign up if you're interested!
Thanks to everyone who has been helping support me through whichever means whether it's getting coaching from me, watching my stream, training with me or just offering a kind word!
The biggest thanks to ThermalTake and Tt eSPORTS who are giving me the support I need to continue my quest to become a progamer! You can checkout photos of the new equipment I'm using on the facebook link above
So basically this giant whining session is saying, get coaching from me guys! :P. I really need to get regular coaching sessions going again so I can eat :P.
Spent almost a year in a flat with gamers. Ate mostly Mi Goreng. Constructed complicated excel spreadsheets to keep track of obscene bill payments. Sleeping entirely optional.
I know that feel bro.

I certainly would love to be able to have weekly coaching from you but you know how random my schedule is. But I will hit you up if I find myself with time when you are available
I thinks you need a thread on TL if they allow it?
I can definitely vouch for this guy, I personally haven't had his coaching but I'm a regular viewer of his stream. He's really manner and easy on his students no matter what the league, he's a good teacher, he's smart, he's handsome, buff, fit, has sexy glasses, likes to... Whoops, got sidetracked there.
Call PiG for a top notch coaching session, I've seen many of them and the student always walks away afterwards that little bit extra gosu

Hmm true I should start posting on other forums thanks for the reminder! Tomorrow I will make it my goal to go post bnet forums, TL, Reddit, cybergamer and so on!
how about we zvz/go over zerg replays for 6 hours and somehow get money from that
hmm a ZvZ spectacular!! Haha once I upgrade my PC we should definitely do that I've been wanting to host special little events with other top players aswell as maybe a weekly replay analysis thing/imbalance/strategy talksies while watching reps.
Next week then man?
Those sorta things though I don't make money from just want to add alot of production value/good content so that my stream is worth watching and I can get featured on TL. Will all be part of my quest once my PC is upgraded . Any money from such an endeavour will come months or even years later though through partner deal and ad revenue (not alot!).
.
oh and your other Q:
My package deal for 4 hours is you get bonus extra 10-15 minutes (25%) on each lesson (often end up being alot longer) just for having paid and booked them all ahead of time. So same $20/hour rate applies.
I put in alot more time then just 1 hour per coaching session preparing documents, answering questions outside of lessons, hooking up people with practice partners, giving general advice etc.
I'd like to see a player as active and accomplished as I am offering coaching for the same price.
Perhaps what annoyed me about your post was the "lol?"
Sounds like you're just being non-commitally sarcastic for no reason. It's not even clear what your post is trying to say. are you laughing or mocking? Which part specifically. Make a clear post please.

As someone who has been coached/getting coached by PiG I can assure you that his lessons are great! He puts time in before even starting the lesson to make sure he has an understanding of how you play the game and where you are going wrong (through replays etc.) and is always willing to answer some questions.
I came out of his lessons and was able to roflstomp my friend which was my aim so I say well worth it!!
I think he was laughing at the cheap part, cos cheap has another connotation other than "not expensive" in Singapore. Cheap is something that is commonly used to describe sl*ts and stuff.

The question mark denotes either:
-confusion at whether or not it was a double entendre
-sarcasm
the whole i'm broke, buy coaching off me is a little off-putting, but that's mostly just to how it's worded and the fact that it's in bold in big bright red colours.
honestly, i hope you get the support you need. even though i'd love to annihilate you at the next tournament (it won't happen, i'm realistic) i'd actually be much happier to see you win and get all the backing that you deserve.
pig's always been an approachable, genuine guy in person. a friend of mine got coaching off him and has been fairly happy with it, even though he's a terran player - although that hasn't been a hindrance whatsoever.
good coach, good guy. scene could use more people like pig. nothing more needs to be said, really.
In fact I think Destiny got so many viewers because of the quality of his stream and his pedagogy with his students.
PiG is good enough to coach 99% of us, but what makes him different than the others is that he has a far better analyzing mind that let him understand your flaws and how to fix them and is one of the most pedagogic teacher I know, just watch his stream to be convinced.
If you want coaching, choose PiG, that's probably the best investment on your skills out there.
I'd be getting coaching if you weren't going to the arena lan as well, just in case I'd have to vs you (in which case my ZvZ is pretty bad atm anyway so its a bit of a double-edged sword...) ;P
Hey PiG, how keen would you be to do some coaching for a player?
Absolutely man is so fun! I have a few builds I really like for each and some simple ways to get by in pvp + tvt if you find these matchups irritating! Shoot me a PM with your email or add me on skype and I can send you all the info about coaching etc and we can talk about what you'd want out of coaching and we can see if i will be able to deliver!

Thanks for feedback I was stressing (about bills/rent) out sending an email out to my students. And i was like i should tell them what im up to. then it turned into an update on my poorness and i was like wtf am i writing meh im tired lets post this on sc2sea so maybe more people are interested.
My bad for making it sound so pathetic! The big red colour was the only colour on hotmail that didn't fade into the white :P
I'd pay you to strip on camera and/or coach my depressingly low skill level if i had paypal, which i don't Shame, i'd make you rage quit and maybe jump off a bridge if i'm bad enough ;3

1 hour session we can cover all the mechanics and general rules to zerg gameplay which if followed will get you to diamond or masters. That being said to follow all of the rules and learn the mechanics properly will take alot of practice. But I can definitely give you all the reference points and tools you need to take it from there
PheonixA dw man just tune into my stream whenever you can for free coaching! I stream almost every coaching session

:@ Deathsfang Haha I so would strip for money! Unfortunately i dont think people will pay to see that!
Haha oh and if no1 has paypal they can always transfer money but thats only easy if ur in australia!
Would love for nothing more than to live in a house with fellow gamers (especially sc2 gamers). I think i would actually jizz in my pants to play in something like the EG house
Thinking about it... have to be honest bro though, sat behind you at brisbane WCG qualifier and both your and your gf totally dissed me and my girlfriend...
You need to work on your manner in real life if you want to support pro gaming with coaching
Now of course I should say I play protoss so it's not a deep consideration but it just wouldn't be me if I didn't take this opportunity to tell you what I think.

could you go into detail about what was said? might have just been a misunderstanding.
Nah nothing said, just looks exchanged... and to be fair it's true we only went for fun, I had no chance in a frozen hell of getting through but still, no reason to act like you're too good for people
Of course, it's not just PiG... I tried to enter many conversations that day and only very few acknowledged me... mostly Dox and Jimdiddy are the only ones who took a moment to talk to me.. so yah those guys rule.
And to be fairer again I think a lot of people wanted PiG's time, probably if I were him I'd get tired of meeting people too.
Anyway, reflecting this morning I probably shouldn't have posted it... such is life.
Yeah fair comment Joshboy but here it is... pro gamer of a role of minor celebrity, like a C-D grade actor who hardly anyone knows the name of but the few who do follow their work love them for it.
Now, celebrities diss fans sometimes but you notice how everytime it happens literally the whole english speaking world hears about it.
Fair enough if you don't want to mingle with fans in all your free time but it's a bit weird making eye contact with someone from a few feet away and never returning a g'day... at an event.
So my feedback stands... if you want to be a celebrity you have to foster a 'relationship' with the fans
Even if it's just sayin g'day when someone's looking into your eyes.
I wish I could remember who elimated me from the loser bracket... so bad feeling... that dude also had a chat with me before our game and once he determined I actually am relative noob he let me pick the maps and commented on my progress where at least Im going right so far....
I'm so sorry I can't remember your handle right now bro, you're also hell cool dude
just gonna say, I introduced myself to PiG at barcraft and he is really just a super nice guy.
I don't know exactly what happened in this story, but at LANs it can be different. Players are trying to focus on their games. Going up and trying to say hi when they are just about to start, or have just lost or something... I can totally buy them being pretty distant.
Would you not consider Huk, Idra, Nestea, MVP, MMA, Top, DonRaeGue, July, SUPERSTAR etc... You don't consider these people at least of minor celebrity?
I'm sitting in an office in bris Australia and I know their handle, at least one of their real names, what they look like etc... seems somewhat famous to me
And lets widen the net to those working around e-sports... Artosis, Tasteless, Day9, Husky..
Of course it's normal in any televised sport that we know the commentators more than the players but there they are, making money and gaining fame.
Anywayyyyyyyy
I've derailed PiG's thread much more than intended already... someone learn zerg from the dude already...
Something else you could consider PiG is offering practice instead of coaching for an hour. Ive noticed alot of the pro players offer practice and tips against players of a similar level and of other races. This will broaden the audience you can sell to! And is also something I would be interested in lol
Hey guys don't flame Zeffrin too hard I totally get where he's coming from. LANs can be a bit awkward at first trying to remember who you know and recognise and what their names/IDs are as for once its not just looking at a profile picture with a tag next to it!
I think in this case it was my first time bringing my gf to a lan and I felt a bit awkward myself as I've never approached another gamer couple at a LAN to say hi and was in that "i just arrived, who do I recognise and who SHOULD i recognise" stage of the LAN.
I suppose also if i was nearing game time I would have been focused on the games quite deeply and that also makes me oblivious to my surroundings.
Zeffrins words may have sounded a little harsher because he interpreted my own inhibitions as a sign of imagined superiority. That really wasn't the case and hopefully I get a chance to meet Zeffrin and his gf next time up in Brisbane!
P.s. you guys can see Zeffrin isn't a troll or anything by the way he responded to Nemo's comment he's clearly a nice guy.

Some Korean saying that I read last night: "The beautiful pond will attract beautiful people"
I tried speaking to pig once in game, he didn't respond to me for about 3 hours :'(
BTW. Are you (pig) able to teach people how to really gay up Terran hard in close position matchups? I hate laddering but it's what I lose to. Everyone tells me what to do but I'm clearly executing it wrong.

Haha my bad for leaving bbnet open when I'm afk!
Closespots is very imba! But yep I have a variety of builds you can do on shattered which have very high success rates. Mostly timing attacks but that's how u have to play it! I can teach you how to do all these and play it safe up to the timing attack no problem. And I would probably save the VOD as I get so many requests for what to do in these spots. Not to mention you can use the same builds on other maps they just aren't as strong!

Oh, you said you were going afk too. :]
I shall pester you sometime when it is convenient us both
Cheers ^^;
Seems like it was just a misunderstanding after all but I did just wanna say one thing:

Half the people on this list, while generally friendly, would most likely not want anything to do with you in the period right before or after a game, as sc2 is a game of intense mental focus. Making a judgement call on someone in the time period surrounding important matches is always a tricky thing to do.
Also for what it's worth... PiG pm'd me and I have to say, considering I made an error in commenting in this place on something so minor he's such an incredibly nice guy. Instead of raging he contacted me to start a conversation and ammend the failed opportunity to meet in the past.
So I'll tell you all the same thing I told him... I am terribly sorry this thread went all negative and I'm sorry I posted when of course you're all correct.. I should've talked to him in person.
In conclusion indeed, my impression was incorrect and PiG is a super nice guy, super nice... much nicer than all of us actually participating in this thread since I commented.
Apologies to all of you... and power to those of you who rose to his defense so passionately.. the true sign of a burgening celebrity gaining fans.
I tried talking to PiG in a ladder game once but he called me a ****** and drone rushed me on Tal'Darim. I can see where zeffrin was coming from originally.
He may be too nice to coach me sadly, unless next time he yells at me.
(I would recommend him to anyone looking to patch a few holes up in their gameplay )
Ya PiG's so nice him and light conducted an interview right next to me when I was ingame at WCG qualifiers and didn't even apologize to me. Prick. :P Lucky I won because I'm gosu
In all seriousness though, as if it hasn't already been said enough, he's a super nice guy and although we didn't talk at all at WCG Bris, when I went to the national finals he was definitely very approachable and once we started talking he was the nicest guy out! ^_^
