Welcome to the 9th SEA Masters Cup!

This event is a 128 player competition, single elimination style tournament. $80 prize on offer to the winner, sponsored by Eddie! Sc2sea will donate $30 from our community donations as well. $35 2nd prize, $20 3rd. $145 prize pool total*!

Sponsors and donations for this event are welcomed, if you'd like to help out, please pm me. Masters Cup usually gets around 3000 viewers, and 100-150 of the highest quality players in the SEA region.

Details

Date: Sunday, 23rd of October, 2011.
Time: 6pm AEDT, 5pm AEST, 3pm SGT
Location: SEA Battle.net region.
Tournament Eligibility: You must be in Masters or Grand Masters League (1v1 - SEA license). Lower players will be disqualified.

Prizes: Winner gets the $80 prize and bragging rights for being the best of the best. $35 for 2nd, $20 to 3rd - *Prizepool shall hopefully increase
There is also a lucky draw prize! One lucky person shall get $10 just for joining!
Battle.net Chat-Channel: "sc2seaMC". If the event is full, the late replacement channel shall be sc2seaMCx. BioGenie shall be organizing replacements, pm him in game or talk in channel.

Rules and Regulations

· All results must be PMed to FaDeEdOne.139 or XanT.665 in-game.
· Players who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified, if a replacement cannot be fount their opponent will be given an automatic win.
· If any disconnects occur within the first two minutes of game-play, the match will be replayed. However if the disconnect occurs after two minutes of game-time, then it is up to the discretion of the referee to decide whether; A) the game is to be replayed, or B) player X/Y is to be awarded the win.
· Any disputes will be handled by the Admins after reviewing all associated replays.
· Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
· Players must have their own Sea account, playing on a friends is not allowed
. International/non SEA players are welcome, but they must have shown they are active on the SEA ladder, eg. ST.KingKong (yChSPR/gts), SoulmanfOu (Master), Slayers_Dragon
. You are allowed to switch races
. If you are lucky enough to win two Masters Cups in a row, you must take a break from the next one. Just so we can spread the wealth and glory around.

The first map of each round is pre-determined and outlined in the following list. The losing player will decide the subsequent map. The map pool is as follows:

Ro128: MLG Metalopolis (B01 no 2nd game) (R1 on bracket)
Ro64: Tal'Darim Altar LE (B01 no 2nd game) (R2 on bracket)
Ro32: GSL Daybreak (B03) (R3 on bracket)
Ro16: GSTL Dual Site (B03) (R4 on bracket)
Ro8: GSL Crevasse (B03) (R5 on bracket)
Semi-Finals: GSL Terminus SE (B03)
Finals: Xel'Naga Caverns (B05)
(3rd Place Match Xel'Naga 1st, B03)

Loser can pick from any the following maps:

Xel'Naga Caverns, MLG Metalopolis, Shakuras Plateau, Typhon Peaks, GSL Daybreak, Tal'Darim Altar LE, GSL Crevasse, GSL Terminus SE, GSTL Dual Site

* Players are allowed 1 veto each per round. 2 vetos are allowed in the B05 final. First game cannot be vetoed.

Bit surprising when SEA has quite a few high level Terrans: RedArchon, Rossi, Iaguz, Deth, YoonYJ, etc.

Best results for Terran is one second place and 3 thirds

A Sc2sea member, who chooses to remain anonymous, has donated $10.
I shall also add an additional $30. Prizepool now $145

Breakdown:

1st = $80
2nd = $35
3rd = $20

If anyone else wishes to donate towards this or any future Masters Cup, your support is welcome

$10 just for joining this Masters Cup!!

One lucky participant shall receive $10! While not a massive prize, its a free pizza, or a couple beers, etc, just for playing some sc2! Even if you are eliminated early be sure to stick around, watch the high quality games, and listen out for who will win (It may well be you!). Purpose of this is to encourage player participation, and offer a small reward for those who fail to place, as every game is of a high level. Depending upon future donations/sponsorship this may continue or be replaced by some other sort of prize, eg hardware. It shall be trialed this Masters Cup, as always, feedback welcomed.
