I like your idea of bringing the BSG back. However, since there are not many people who join BSGs, I suggest the next time you make it a 32 player tournament. I recall when I played in the sc2sea BSG, most people had a Ro64 walkover.

I think allowing up to 64 is better.. if only 32 sign up then thats fine.. but it allows more to enjoy the BSG tournament.. which is about having fun and getting cheesed hahaha

If there are not enough players, I will do some modifications to reduce the number of walkovers So no worries about that.

You do have a point, but what would happen if there are 34 people who join? Does that mean everyone except two pairs of people would get a walkover? It works, but it seems pretty odd. It would be fairer if those two didn't join in the first place.
Just wondering who will be the coaches for the prize?
So far we have a Grandmaster Terran and Protoss to coach, you'll know soon enough

If there are two extra person, it can be arranged. Our bracket system is flexible enough to handle that =)
I have the authority to move players. So if there are two players getting a walk-over. I'll arrange them for a match. However I'm hoping for more than 34 players ahaha

Yeah but that means you're skipping from the Ro64 to the Ro32 :P
Are you going to post on sc2sea forums every week with the registration link? If not how do you want us to sign up? I want to make sure in case I don't know where to sign up next time.
Hey I've entered in this tourney. First I've ever played. It may just be me having a complete blonde moment but it would seem there are 2 different start times. It says 1900 AEST here but on z33k it says 2PM AEST. Can someone in the know confirm the start time please? I work until 5 on sat so I may need to unregister.
Im new to this and i wish to play this Saturday , ive read that sign ups are on the Friday/Saturday morning is that correct? and after that where do i go for the chat channel???
thanks looking forward to playing

Oh my. Thanks for pointing that out! Its an honest mistake. I copied this from another z33k tournament and I forgot to change this. HOW CAN I OVERLOOK THIS! Tourney starts at 1900 AEST. I'm not sure how DST works but this time was determined BEFORE the DST was in effect.

Sign-ups starts anytime. You can sign up now but you'll have to check-in 30 minutes before the tourney starts or else you wont be drafted into the brackets. Looking forward to see you this weekend!

You can sign up now (just make sure to check in 30 minutes before it actually starts starts) the chat channel is "z33k" (without the quotations). The time is in AEST NOT daylight savings (so if anyone lives on the east coast NSW/VIC remember to take that into account).
Hello guys. Some of you may know that my account has been suspended due to something that I did not do. There will not be any admin around to look over this tournament. Therefore, this tourney will be postponed until further notice. Sorry about the inconvenience guys.
- Antarnis
Basically it's been postponed/put on hold for now.
Yup, his account got banned, and he tried to get Bliz to tell him what program it was that offended the ToS, but bliz refused to tell him and not he's banned without knowing what it was he did wrong. I would run the comp but I have no experience running big events and I don't want to screw myself over.
I am head admin over at z33k.com. I just wanted to pop in to apologize about the SEA BSG not running last week.
Essentially when Antarnis' account got banned, we had no other SEA admins able to admin the event. As no one else has a SEA account, we couldn't even have one of our NA/EU admins handle it.
At the moment, the SEA BSG Weekly won't be able to run anymore because of a shortage of admins. The SEA Weekly may have to stop running soon as well (because Kalarax will be leaving Australia in a few weeks).
If anyone is interested in working for z33k and helping us expand our SEA division, please feel free to contact jobs@z33k.com or hop onto the z33k webchat (#z33k on quakenet). We are currently looking for a Head Admin to be in charge of the SEA division as well as tournament admins to run different events.
Once again, apologies for having to cancel the previous BSG. Hopefully we can get the staff we need to make sure it doesn't happen again.
404 on link bro. Besides, you do know this is the thread for official z33k SEA BSG Weekly right?

sorry about the previous 404.
As you know there is currently no "official" Z33k BSG but I've been asked by Z33k admins to keep it running as many weeks as I can until they get an official SEA host without the family commitments that prevent me from doing it.

Which z33k admins have asked you that?
Pretty confused as to how this whole situation came about. If you're interested in working for z33k and running these events, why not submit a formal application at jobs@z33k.com?
Great Tournament last night fellows.
Congratulations to everyone who made it possible and huge props to the 2 finalists and the eventual winner... FaDeMuss
who took it out in a 5 game epic PvP series over 2nd place Sekt
Excellent final series from them both.
The tournament for Saturday 19th is up as of now and you can access it here - http://www.z33k.com/starcraft2/tourn...sea-bsg-weekly
There is also now a tournament group that you can join via the tournament page for ease of everything and a ranked leaderboard.
I hope to see you all back in addition to some fresh meat for us all. Remember to spread the word.
