And i'm horrible at this game. 70 games, 3 wins. I only recently learned about configuring the match making system to find people AT my skill level. No longer will I find people who link combos (25 hits) and keep me from touching the ground \o/

Also, I've found that the hurricane kick does wonders against Balrog's Headbutts. At least I think it was hurricane kick that worked...

Have I missed any? That seems a decent bit of diversity. Better than everyone going Ken.

I played a little bit of Juri when SSFIV first came out. She's fun storing up her fireballs for when they do a jump in. The Wind Breaking Blade is a bit crazy.

I need to watch the video when I get home. I've got ideas of solutions to various scenarios in my head of what both you guys were doing.

Damn it. I think you may have convinced me. Now to work out if I actually have the spare $40....

There is no cross platform play unfortunately. Hence the need for me to pick up yet another copy.
Tis a lot of fun, so I recommend grabbing it.

Also, if you use a charge character I have heard at least in SFIV it's easier to play with a keyboard because you can keep your charge even when you do moves, because you don't need to let go of the charge direction to use the move. Not sure if this is still the case.

Oh, and nicknack, if you have it on 360 I'm up for some games. Same gamertag across Xbox Live and GFWL.

I wish I could justify get a Madcatz TE. Currently using a Hori EX2 and it works fine. Not good enough to feel the difference between an EX2 and a TE.

actually know sc2sea from gamefest (Where the big boohaa happened)
have an arcade stick fully modded with sanwa buttons.

You are making a training montage or someone is making you a training montage?

Sounds like too much running if I remember rocky.

Try out the EX Pinwheel (spinning kick thing, as it's invulnerable + more damage when you are doing that crouched medium kick > pinwheel combo, though you seem to like super meter). and definately learning to combo into ultra 2 is handy the divekick thing with EX (which you can do to counter fireballs), combo's into it nicely, I believe it's one of the trials for Juri (not sure which number).

Of course learning what EX and Ultra are could also help with that !

I think Trials are under 'Challenges' on the main menu, there are 24 different moves/combo's starting easy and getting more tricky. Not all in order, sometimes 24 is easier than 16 and such but yeah, first 7 or so are just specials/ultras.

Only the AE chars don't have them, which are Oni, Yun, Yang and Evil Ryu.

The trials are great, but they do get hard really quickly. I should go back and actually do the trails for Sakura, relearn the combos for Akuma.

Ranked is fine once you get your head around the basics! but it's a bit more 'invested' as you put your points on the line, endless is a good way to keep calm and just have fun with friends or if you want to work on something in particular you can just request it !

AE came out in June, which is around when you say you bought Super, so that might very well suck or be the reason super was discounted

DLC costs around $15-20 I think!

If you want to play on PC though you gotta buy it separate, (AE standalone) so that's $40, don't need to get DLC though.

They're very strong but Fei long is very hard to use, yun/yang are getting a nerf, you just need to know what your up against. It's not like using them is auto win.

Look at Evo, Poongko perfected Daigo and he used Yun. it's tough but not impossible and seth is low/mid teir has no health (http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2011/a...ition-kindevu/)

but the results/character (see below) use is are pretty even not like every top ten is fei long yun and yang

Ok which fightstick would you agree on being considered the best out of the box. The one i'm using was a cheap test (I love it) but it's really loose and the buttons feel rather unresponsive hehehe.

I bought my last stick at EB (Madcatz TE), they didn't have it on display or anything and were really keen to sell it, (Not broken), and you can trade in games and such to get it reduced, it was $150 however to start with.

Just might be worth it if you have old console games or something and have an EB locally that can check other stores around to see if they are in stock.

Else, JB get's them occasionally, I just checked that website, I've used a few of those Hori sticks and they feel pretty good to use so not bad for price.

Yeah, I got my Hori EX2 from JB for $70. I'm not good enough to really benefit from grabbing a Madcatz TE over a EX2.

Apparently after the switch from GFWL to Steam, the netcode has been terrible and theres alot of lag issues online, there was a patch recently which was meant to address online issues, but it didn't really make much difference to the lag, even when playing against other Australians. Quite disappointing tbh.
