The purpose of this thread is to see how many people here would be interested if we could arrange a similar thing in Sydney (18+ obviously!) I'm thinking Sydney/NSW people at this stage, but maybe we could make it coincide with a major tournament to interstate players have another reason to come along.

If you're interested, stand up and be counted. Suggestions/ideas for venues and getting the message out welcomed. I'm going to suss out a few sports/fringe bars (somehow I don't think this would go down well at Ivy, for example).

Will be in Europe for the next 6 weeks, but when I am in Sydney would definitely attend. GSL finals normally often finish too early in the evening. I don't know if an MLG or European events might or might not be better suited.

Yeah... I am interested in this. Would be really cool to watch some GSL with a group.

The GSL finals being on earlier in the day is annoying since it finishes fairly early. The GSTL finals on Friday, October 7 (7:10 start) might be a good opportunity, as it gives us some time to find a venue and spread the word...

Definitely interested in coming. GSL finals are ~3pm in the sunday afternoon aren't they usually?

Im planning on living in Sydney in around 2 months and potentially have a managerial position at a pub avaliable.. if that happens, I'd defo be keen to host these.

I would love to come, if I wasnt going to be away from Sydney for half a year =(

Watching it on a big screen with friends as opposed to home is definately alot better as was the case with the gsl finals that was on at the UNSW lecture room. And even better with alchie!

would definitely attend, but try and keep it out of hipster ****** bars (lookin at you, ivy).

it'd be awesome if a place like scruffy murphy's picked it up. craft followed by a night of the EPL. that might actually make my day. can't imagine that happening though.

but yeah, i'd be keen.

alcohol will make gsl finals more enjoyable. but where?

i don't see a bar in the CBD too accomodating with us watching it. if it's not NRL or state of origin, they normally won't show anything =(

The Ivy is probably as far from a "hipster, ******" bar as you can get. That being said, The Ivy can go **** itself with a rake

This is pretty much the entire reason of why living in Perth sucks. All the cool things happen in the good places in Australia, which is everywhere that's not Perth.

Unfortunatly my work schedule has me traveling regularly which makes it a little harder to organise, but I was still thinking of trying to organise a Barcraft for the next MLG/GSL or other main event... No promises, but I'll let you know what I find...

probly would be worth it to plan some sor t of a schedule (as in when mlg + gsl finals) or some such time so that we could make a good time of it and also would helpo encourage people thata have to travel in order to get there.
