I was there that day, and I appeared in the Giant Screens in this clip. Other songs that was played and I phucking hate are Baby and Nobody but you. Say otherwise but this was seriously the worst songs that came into the world. I was groaning my ass out and my ears were starting to hurt.

Singaporean nationalism for the most part has always been extremely cheesy and laughable.

That said, I was paid $100 to be in the National song music video in 2009, so they can do whatever they like.

national celebrations and songs are supposed to instil patriotism and pride but most of the time the songs do the opposite, especially with the youth. last years YOG song which even had JJ Lin whom i absolutely adore but even he couldn't save it from the cheese as well.

i wonder who is in charge of the media promotion department and more importantly why hasn't there been any revaluation! nation day celebrations are pretty epic tho from what i recall, and i hope sg songs can one day reach that similar level.

agree, SYZ will be great

they should also put in more effort or get a better media team / bigger budget. dunno what happened recently when they neglected YOG and now this NDP. although the first video posted aint the 2011 main NDP song i certainly hope it isn't of a similar quality. these for e.g were pretty good,

I think the creator of the song did a pretty awesome job and it achieved its intended effect.

If that effect were to make people want to leave Singapore and become a citizen of a better country. Like Australia.

Singapore is epic I've been many times food and culture is awesome. If you have never been over seas before I would recommend going and taking a look.

Well, I was Involved in 1 NDP myself in 2005 in a Combined School Band. But the crappy thing that my segment was shown just abit too early before NDP went live. Music is not as crappy as the ones that were used in the NDP 11 Pre-parade segment.

Well, Apart being having an epic skyline, what I'm mostly looking out for everywhere is any gamers especially SC2 & Most importantly, a good chow. But because of government Inflation, it's getting way harder to get things for cheap. And Did you know, when it comes to getting cars, we're the only country in the world that has to pay for a Certificate Of Entitlement (COE) and it's skyrocketing like right now?! What the phuck is that?! Even the cheapest cars can hit the hefty $100K Price Tag including COE. Actually if you scale it, we're like paying more than the car's price for the COE itself!
