Welcome to the 11th Gold, Platinum and Diamond Weekly Open!

The event shall be a 128 player competition. It will be a single elimination style tournament.

Details

Date: Sunday, 22nd of May, 2011.
Time: 4pm SGT, 6pm AEST
Location: SEA Battle.net region.
Tournament Eligibility: You must be in the Gold, Platinum or Diamond league (1v1 - SEA license). If you were previously in Masters at the conclusion of season 1, you are ineligible.

Prizes: The winner of the GPD Open will take home the $10 first prize
The top 8 players from this event shall qualify for the Masters Cup on 5/6/11 and the chance to win the $70 1st prize, $20 2nd, and $10 3rd for that event. Wildcard qualifying spots may also be given for impressive play outside of the top 8.

Rules and Regulations

· All results must be PMed to System in-game.
· Players who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified, their opponent will be given an automatic win.
· If any disconnects occur within the first two minutes of game-play, the match will be replayed. However if the disconnect occurs after two minutes of game-time, then it is up to the discretion of the referee to decide whether; A) the game is to be replayed, or B) player X/Y is to be awarded the win.
· Any disputes will be handled by the GPD admins after reviewing all associated replays.
· Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
· Players must have their own Sea account, playing on a friends is not allowed
. You are allowed to switch races
. No late replacements.

Map List

The first map of each round is pre-determined and outlined in the following list. The losing player will decide the subsequent map. The map pool is as follows:

Ro128: Typhon Peaks (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro64: Shakuras Plateau (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro32: Tal'Darim Altar LE (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro16: The Shattered Temple (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro8: Metalopolis (B03)
Semi-Finals: Scrap Station (B03)
Finals: Xel'Naga Caverns (B05)

Loser can pick from any the following maps:

Xel'Naga Caverns, Metalopolis, Shakuras Plateau, Scrap Station, Typhon Peaks, The Shattered Temple, Tal'Darim Altar LE, Slag Pits

For B03 and B05 each player can have 1 veto

*Shall be using the Z33k brackets again, worked well last week. Submit results yourselves, any issues pm System.

Not gonna play in this because it's on z33k. What was wrong with using sc2sea for sc2sea tourneys -.- don't wanna sign up to another site for no good reason.

Our sc2sea brackets have been unreliable last few GPD's. Glitching. Wont let players advance further in the bracket.

This new Z33k bracket system has lots of positives going from last week, and makes larger tournaments easy.
