Well, once again, I think I've found the problem. I disabled OC Guru, then the stuttering stopped, enabled it again and it came back, disabled once again and no more stuttering. So hopefully this was the root of the problem and is now perma fixed, have uninstalled it. Thanks for all your help guys, esp ZG.
ok now i got this problem too
after new season come ... its stutter like crazy (cpu works 95%-99% when running sc2)
i used intel quadcore ... nvidia gts250 updated driver
what happen here T__T can't play well
Hey guys, recently got a new computer, (16G DDR3 RAM, i7 intel 2600 3.4 ghz, 1gb video ATI radeon HD 5450, 4 TB hard drive). The problem is when I try to stream with xsplit my sc2 goes a bit choppy and my streaming quality looks quite laggy/choppy when ive tested streaming. Ive done a speed test showing 1.23mbps upload and 2.84 mbps downloads. Ive tried playing around with a few of the xsplit settings, nothing that ive tried had reduced the lag/choppyness. Any ideas/thoughts/things i need to change on xsplit to fix this?
5450 is kinda low end / old video card...
ummm check what other processes are running while streaming.
Also lower sc2 settings and try lower your desktop resolution
Also make sure you have sc2 in windowed fullscreen mode
Yeah i was plannin on replacing the graphics card in a bit, not really running many other processes, only runnig mozilla/whatever is running in the background. I didnt have window mode running so ill try that, all sc2 settings on low, ill also try running lower desktop resolution (currently on 1920/1080)
Ok, had a play around with different resolutions. The lower resolution i use the less lag i get, down to about 1440/900 and then anything below that makes no difference in choppyness/lag as its fine. Anything above that number the lag gets worse. However, regardless of what resolution im broadcasting at my stream still looks/feels laggy so perhaps I just need to play around with the xsplit settings or maybe my net isnt good enough? im not really sure about that. So yeah any feedback about what could be wrong would be much appreciated guys!
on my other comp i was viewing it through twitch so choppy to everyone else regardless of resolution, choppy to me only on high resolution. however on stream (so to everyone else) its not really TO bad, i have seen worse, but i would like it to be better
It really isn't necessary to stream at such high resolutions, you really need consistent 1.5mbps up for good quality 720p, so trying to do '900p' at 1.2mbps is going to sacrifice framerate/clarity/blur/etc for just more (not necessarily clearer) pixels. Also without a Twitch partnership viewers don't get quality options.
I would try to stream at a more modest resolution, like 480p at 25fps, which I think is more than adequate and should be handled much more smoothly by most connections.
i actually found it was my graphics card, when i was using ASUS it lagged even though it was a top of the line card, then i switched to a not so top of the line nvidia geforce card and i can stream perfectly with no frame rate loss at all
