Aean which one don't u use while people are around?
I don't use the razer blackwidow when people are around, and also, mechanical keyboards don't actually directly increase your apm, but more in a indirect way. For eg. i have a rhythm of the tapping of my keyboard, and when i dont hear it, i know im doing something wrong, so it helps me sustain a certain apm.
try before you buy, if you're singaporean, there's a shop in simlim, level 5 called tecdrome. you can ask to try, at least i got to try out mine. and i'm using a filco cherry mx blue

Life is short, why waste it on sleep.
Does the blackwidow actually use Cherry switches? Nowhere in the technical details does it ever say that it uses Cherry blue switches, I think it's razer's own technology.

It is 101% cherry blue switches, if you take off the keys you'll see the switches have 'Cherry' written on them.
I own a filco blue and the blackwidow feels lighter to type with. Haven't tried it for gaming though.
Wow Makra, that keyboard looks amazing :O. It is possibly the most elegant keyboard I've ever seen... however it probably wouldn't be appropriate for gaming...
i would also be interested, especially after raging and busting my current logitech wireless keyboard TT
Are mechanical keyboards rage resistant or fairly fragile compared to normal keyboards?
I think that the general consensus is.
Filco (if you have the cash)
Steel Series V7 (if you have the cash)
Or Razer's Black Widow (as a cheaper alternative).
For me, the cheapest would either be Filco or the BW as they're worth about 100-130 AU at the moment... I just don't want to shell out that money when I brought my Lycosa not long ago.
