Student studying a double degree of Computational Mathematics and Software Engineering
3. How much many hours of games do you play a week?
anywhere from ~21 to ~45
4. Do you have any other activities (such as sports, music etc)
I design and write freeware games, play piano(keyboard) and attempt to power through programming languages I've yet to learn.
5. Would you consider quiting your job to become a progamer?
Unfortunately, it is very hard to become a progamer in Australia. If the opportunity arose for me to become a pro Quake player, then yes.

3. How much many hours of games do you play a week? Like 3 on a working day and 4-10 on weekends (holyshit that's a big number - I should rly be better :/ )
4. Do you have any other activities (such as sports, music etc). Play squash once weekly, just made semis and caked it -.- also just paintballed with mates for my bday and had a huge weekend ^.^
5. Would you consider quiting your job to become a progamer? I know this path to be quite painstaking and highly unrewarding unless you are basically top 3 of your race in the world... Eg nestea/mkp/ogsMC level... But yes I would, probably would take the destiny path though of making money from streaming (unless a phat rich team picked me up for a wage??? Does this even happen??)

3. Lately I've been playing much more regularly as I've had time off work and uni to recover from a shoulder reconstruction. I think probably around 10-14 when i am studying and working though.
4. Used to be really into swimming and basketball but since my problems with my shoulder I haven't been able to.
5. If i was good enuogh, made enough money and my girlfriend didn't care, sure why not.

Great thread. Loved reading about the diversity of professions and back grounds. How far gaming has come!

Age: 25

Job: High School Teacher (just don't ask where!)

Time: 10-15 hours (can go inactive for periods though)

Hobbies: Bars. Tragic Essendon supporter. Part time studies (though I'm a bit of a slacker, truth be told)

Pro: I think anyone with the ability would be mad not to give it a whirl. Life is short! Would make a great story for years to come.

Very interesting post. Well, I suppose I have to post since I'm by far the elder.

DeathsFang is only one more year older than my elder son. lol I play with him in 2c2 that's a great son-and-father activity. :-)

I have my own business in insurance.

Depend of energy my occupations and especially my job leave me. 0 to 10 I think. I watch and read a lot about the game though as it is rest activities for me.

Mainly a family that counts on me. Warhammer 40K player, organizer and painter (SoB, DH, Daemons) but that took a big hit when my associate forced me to buy SC2 :-)). A bit of sailing (yes near Paris, don't ask me where lol).

Never.

Answer: Not much (10), hardly any time because of Army.
