is it still single elimination or has it been changed to doubble elimination or group play?

and have close positions been removed on shattered and metal? (Will you be using the blizzard mappool maps) or the MLG modified?

They updated the map pool to:

1 – Metalopolis
2 – Xel’Naga Caverns
3 – Tal’Darim Altar LE
4 – The Shattered Temple
5 – Shakuras Plateau
6 – Slag Pits
7 – Typhon Peaks

Probably all ladder versions, doesn't specify otherwise. It's bo3, so shouldn't really worry to much about close spawns.

I really wish it is double elim/group stage. You'd have people hanging around longer. Better for Xin, better for the venue, better for the players. Win-win i'd have thought. I have a few casual sc2 mates who i could suggest this too, but not worth it if $20 for 2 games.

I still don't have a computer, so I definitely won't be playing tomorrow. But I will swing by with my camera and take some photos/footage. If the opportunity to commentate is there, I'll do that too.

Glad they changed it to double elimination, only 30 people are here so essentially we have the time!

Trying to get a look at the upper bracket to see who's winning so far, but they've got the lower bracket on the screen at the moment. Shall post when I find out!

Also had a teamkill in the first around between TAStarscream and TAamnesiac :P

EDIT: TAdeth and infiTargA through to 4th round. TAamnesiac and adRo gearing up to play their 3rd round match.

Just be mindful that even if you win the whole thing, you probably still won't cover your costs. :P

Also sorry to the semi-finalists for not sticking around to watch your games! I hadn't eaten all day and I was dying for dinner.

EDIT: gnsssk is a beast! I reckon deth will still take the win though!

Haha yeah looking forward to the rematch. I was sooo annoyed when I lost the first game against you. Then we had another epic 2 games after ^^ GG!.

Yeah I know it won't cover the costs and it will deeefinately be tough to even come top 3 but it's all for fun and to meet the starcraft guys from melbourne ^^
