I would suggest players looking for a clan to also actively get to know other players
e.g. chatting in the sc2sea chats with members of the various clans and the community in general, checking them out (their channels on sc2 in-game), checking out the different house clan icons for more information etc.

Allowing other clans to get to know you may help speed up the opportunity to join a clan.

Its probably easier if you want to join a clan by both talking to member of sc2sea of public chat and also checking out there public chat channels on sea server. I know being a part of TCP that we have a TCP public chat that players join when online

yeah, certainly would be helpful to have a "Apply to join a clan" button somewhere, I think that'd really motivate people or get people to join a clan with more ease :P From personal experience, when I was newer on these forums, it was hard to navigate this place T_T

I'm looking for a clan for the social experience, for some fun. I can play in clan wars when available (generally tend to not have a lot of free time around dinner time on weeknights). If you're looking for someone to potentially be part of a "team" or go pro or whatever that's not me, I just want to make some friends and have some fun with starcraft and what not That said I'm happy to help out lower level players when I have the spare time, doesn't necessarily have to be high level clan.
