Everything every single aspect of WCS that I enjoyed. I don't think I can express how much I appreciated all the effort that went into these events.
But most of all was the passion. From the organisers, the casters, the community, everyone at the event, the stream viewers >< and especially the players.
It was such a monumental event it brought so many people together it was just awesome or in the great words of Light "I mean FANTASTIC".
BRING ON THE WORLDS, MAFIA AND MOONGLADE FIGHTING!!
I had the sickest time and can only repeat what everyone else has been saying, it was a great weekend and I enjoyed every minute of it. Mafia vs tgun game 3 to decide who went through was so crazy - I've never been so emotional about the game before, but the entire TA team was sitting there screaming our heads off; we could barely hear the casters over the crowd it was that electric. It's moments like that the define these events.
Would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks JB/Vanz/The entire crew, you know we love you.

This tournament was simply ******* amazing. It was an amazing ride and I was treated so well. I'm sorry I wasn't able to show better games, but the games we did see were so good anyway. Also it was so cool to constantly see like PiG signing things, it's like we were actual celebs haha.
I was considering quitting SC2 after this, but now i'm fully convinced that SC2, or simply communities like this need to be part of my life.
Immensely, immensely impressed by the event. Not because of the production, nor the venue, nor the quality of the games. We knew that would be good... but the passion and energy in that room was beyond anything I had ever expected. PiG's WCS Australia win on Saturday... tgun's (third!) series win over Light on Sunday... Game 3 of tgun v Mafia... Cheering for tgun I'm still feeling so sad about how close he came when I think about it now.
Almost everyone has been mentioned already, but there is one more group that I'll throw out there (and to be honest, I would have never imagined I would be writing this): TA. The banner and the chanting during the player introductions on Saturday. The excitement of the guys around where I was sitting during game 3 of tgun v Mafia. The rushing on stage after Mafia's victory. My goodness... the amount of passion and support you guys give each other is amazing.
When Chadmann said in the "growing SEA scene" thread that what we can offer is a tight-knit community, I had been sceptical that that was something that could be conveyed to the world. Well, I am now thoroughly convinced and extremely glad that I was there to experience it.
Was a great event. Many thanks to all the people involved in organising and running it. Great job all of you. It was well worth the journey from Brisneyland. Met so many awesome people, saw some of the best games. Dat pig vs moonglade saga was epic. Can't wait to catch up with you all again at the next one. Also thanks to Intoccabile for organizing the backpackers. Cheers for the great weekend everyone.
The big names that made the event an amazing personal experience for are as follows:
Dot and PiG: Dot for organising the cake and for being super nice all the time, PiG for being a super star and yet being so open to talk to me and sign my poster.
Intoccabile: For stepping up and giving time to those able to attend by organising the accomodation and for being such a cool dude. (playing pool with him and his mates was sick too!)
Breadfan, Venom, Ozliam, Mirth, Justice, Baldie, Asrathiel, Flamga and all the random ppl at the venue: Thank you for sharing the weekend with me, for being friendly and having a laugh, screaming out lungs out for our champions and for random discussions about sc2.
ACLPRO and Blizzard: For working together to bring Australia and me the biggest and best Starcraft 2 experience to date.
Artosis, Tasteless, HD and Painuser, Maynarde and Legionnaire: For giving the best of the best casting experience for all the people watching. Also for being so approachable and giving your fans the time of day to say Hello.
And the biggest thank you to the players my new idols, for providing over the weekend the most amazing games I have had the chance to experience. For showing the world that SEA will not be put into the dark forgotten corner. That we have players and undiscovered new blood that without a shadow of a doubt can rise up and compete on the global stage.
The weekend has destroyed my voice but it was worth every second and I can not wait for the next big thing in Australia.
You're not the only one with a destroyed voice. I've rocked up to work today and everyone thinks I'm sick. Was some decent games of pool considering the slope on the table.
It was good to finally meet everyone! I've been trying to get to any of these events for ages to meet you guys and I think I chose the best one!!
Thanks to everyone who worked on planning, setup and running the day! Running a production of such quality is never easy and you pulled it off brilliantly!
Thanks to the players for practicing and playing some of the kewlest damn games ive ever seen!!! even though there was alot of ZVZVZVZVZVZVZ........
Thanks to the other fans I got to meet and hang out with! Korean BBQ was wiked! Im trying to find one is brisbane!
It was an awesome weekend! and my only question is........WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE?
Was a great weekend, never had so many bro hugs in my life.
Thanks to - Dox, Blizzard (especially PJ), Vanzr, JB and the rest of the Stream team (Blair, Doble, Beware, Infeza, Luke, Doofus, UHF, Simon, Troy, Karen and John Snr and I'm sure some I forgot).
All of the volunteers that helped out with special mentions to Inmaniac (who coordinated them), Brett, Champi, Chadmann and all the TA crew that stayed to help pack up on Sunday night (Kez, Cosmic, Lost, Qibla, massive apologies to those whose names I forgot, I had many many bourbons that night).
Edit: And Dot! That cake, amazing in all facets, taste, looks, execution.
Was a fantastic weekend, something that I'm proud very proud to say I was a part of.

I have to say watching tgun vs light with legionnaire+artosis casting was probably the best sc2 experience I have had to date. Legionnaire was amazing analytically, I only wish I could have met him!
Infeza's observing as many have said was nothing short of perfect, picking up many things the casters did not! And the finals... Omg I actually fist pumped when tgun won that first game vs mafia lol
From my eyes the SEA staff and players truly made this event, while it was fantastic having tastosis/painuser/HD I honestly felt that the organization from ACL, Dox etc and with some very hard fought games (final game mafia vs tgun ^^) that the event really promoted what SEA and the community has to offer!
Definitely going to save up for and hopefully make the next one, I feel like a complete moron for missing out T_T
I just want to show my love and appreciation for EVERYONE involved this weekend. Most notably, the 3 people who actually made it happen:
Nick Vanzetti - Vanz, as most people would know, is the CEO of ACL. He puts his heart, mind, soul and especially wallet on the line for these events. People do not realise the strain he is under to make this happen. Just like you, he has a life, a girlfriend, and a RL job to work around, and somehow still manages to pull events off. Crazy, considering how amazing these events actually are. Show some love: www.twitter.com/ACLVaNzR
JB Hewitt: JB (Blade) is the Supreme Commander of gaming website LANSMASH and is the other half of ACL. JB is the Ying to Vanzr's Yang and is the most under-appreciated member of the crew. He is a wizard, a gentleman and a scholar. If it wasn't for him, ACL could not function and the Blizzard WCS would never have happened. Please show this guy your appreciation: www.twitter.com/jbhewitt
PJ: PJ is the Community and Esports Manager of Blizzard Australia & New Zealand. He is a BAWSS. He's also a freaking amazing guy. Vanz, JB and ACL may have physically put this event together, but there wouldn't even be an event without this man. Make sure you let him know how you feel about the WCS, and that we want another event soon!!!!! www.twitter.com/Blizzard_ANZ
I also want to show my love and support for every single volunteer for this event. The amount of people who would do what we do are few and far between. It's a lot of work, but we do it for the community. Stream Team are amazing!
Also, to the players. I was lucky enough to be the Player Liaison for this event, and I'm honoured that I got to hang out with you all as much as I did. There were some hiccups, but I think we all got there in the end. Thank you very much for making the event what it was, you guys are legends, and I hope now that this event is over, people continue to give you the respect and admiration you deserve.
One more thing. You all would already have done it, but make sure you give the casters some love. I also acted as the Talent Liaison and can say with 100% honesty that they aren't here just to put on a show - they are truly great guys who love Australia. I loved hanging with them and hope they come back soon.
Personally, this event has helped me to bridge the gap between my console-gaming background and my current work in PC gaming. This whole site and the scene are amazing. I can't wait to get more involved with everything that's happening, and I look forward to the amazing future of Australian eSports.
