I think most people can understand the frustration of having your computer chuck a fit on you during an important moment. Whether gaming, uni assignment or sexy time with your gf over skype :P
I do object to Azz's choice of words but how can you support and cheer for MC who shows even less respect to his opponents and even trumps Idra in terms of arrogance and then turn around and bash Azz.
So he expressed his confidence a little too aggressively but if you were confident but then had to deal with computer problems you would understandably be pissed off no? So I say let his frustration fueled presumptuous attitude slide this time and settle things on BNET
I have nothing against MC/Idra's BM/Arrogance on camera as it just makes it more entertaining for my viewing. Much like Azz throwing this bet thing just creates e-drama that I'm sure entertained many. That said, Azz did so on my personal blog, and called out myself and my friends. How am I supposed to support that? Also MC/Idra wouldn't need to post shit like that because they have the performances to back them up, without having to talk shit to try to prove to people how good they are.
Outside of the start of SCII where I saw Azz dominate the crap out of everyone, I see him playing only a very few games these days (such as taking me out in a series), which makes his recent accomplishment stand at nothing. Do you know what people think of people who hasn't accomplished anything but talks alot of shit? See how people felt about Tgun during NRG days. Once Tgun started to actually post some legit performances/results that his "confidence" became less obnoxious. Maybe it is just the norm of the NA SCII culture to "express confidence" through calling everybody else bad, I rather let my perfomances do the talking.
It would be totally understandable if Azz only posted the first half of what he posted, showing how angry/upset he was at the computer conditions etc - which most people here have given him sympathy for. I personally had no doubt that he was a very strong contender(stronger than me) for one of the three spots, but it looks like I hit a really big nerve when I said JimDiddy > Him in a series to trigger the second half of his post. The second half of his post just makes him look like an insecure arrogant prick who wants to prove to people hes better than everybody, despite not achieving anything or even playing recently. Even if you actually believe so, who freaking posts that and expects not to get ridiculed.
I don't exactly understand what you mean by let it slide? You mean stop talking about it? Okay I'm done.

Just saying that I'm generally a confident guy, and it's not really an effort to appear confident or arrogant in any mean: I just sort of speak my mind.

I've never seen MC lose a tournament, turn around, and call every other player that placed higher than him horrible and challenge them to grudge matches because his ego is hurt so badly he cant stand the thought of people thinking the other players are better than him...
Idra, on the otherhand, has done very similar things, hence why i used him as an example of a dickhead.
edit: Just for clarification, a bit of smack talk before a tournament about how you're going to beat people or calling FRIENDS of yours 'bad'/'horrible' in a good mannered/friendly way i don't have a problem with, azz, after losing the tournament, not even fresh out of anger/rage after immediately losing the game, comes on forums 2 weeks later, reads that one players opinion is that the player that beat him is better than him, and decides to write out paragraphs full of pure ******* douchery on levels I've never seen on sc2sea, which is pretty ******* difficult considering some of us write stuff on this site TRYING to be the biggest wankers possible to troll you all.

MC is doing mannered smack talk he just plains looks down on all players.
I reckon if people interviewed him about losses he would say that the other guy got lucky but thats just my conjecture.
I can totally understand how Azz using Light's blog post to call out people for being terrible and having no chance but as he threw out a challenge - like I said earlier - why not just settle it on BNET.
I know exactly how light feels and more so but I also understand Azz - though again not saying I support his choice of words.
Though say you felt you were a strong contender for top 3. You felt that you would get yop place or at worst second. But then due to some computer problems you tilted so bad you lose your edge. You would be bitter about that surely so if someone where to say one opponent you would have faced was more likely to beat you (whether probably accurate or simple guessing) that would dredge up your frustration.
The lesson here should be that people should take a deep breath and re-read anything they are about to post and look it from the other point of view. But also when people have a little tantrum to let it slide by - be the bigger man or just hash it out on the alter :P
Everyone rages and often it has nothing to do with the target. I have raged at players when I have been frustrated at myself or at blizzard (damn close spawns) And have also been the subject of rage.
So i'm looking forward to some grudge matches and get things settled
Though how Azz handles any losses will be telling so lets wait and see and until then give him a reprieve
It was Light's blog, he can say whatever the **** he wants in it. For Azz to come in and blow up like that is not cool. Whether MC or Idra or anyone good does it as well doesn't make it right. Will be interesting to see how he handles it when PiG beats him.
SEA #2 fight. Any NZ players????if theres any......
Of course I'm joking!
Btw, Hope Azz been practicing for the past week cause he said he won't even drop a single game if he did! I don't know how though, with his standard PvZ opener of 3pylon block on the ramp not being very effective now days..

Badger bro, i wasn't justifying what he said by saying MC does it so its okay
I was saying people don't hark on MC when his attitude is nothing short of a god complex.
Yes its lights blog
But given the way it works here light should be expecting replies
Yes Azz flew off the handle in his reply
Yes its not cool
And definitively yes, we should let him pay the guys he bmed or humble the people who doubt him
So less talk more... sexy time :P
