(proving that tf2 has indeed become hat fortress 2, best hat simulator in the world)
The hats are cute :} But fundamentally the game is a solid, team-orientated FPS at the core... but the hats, are addictive, haha!

Glad they are bring back the p2p system for MW3 tbh - even though most pc gamers cry about it i was actually able to play MW2
Have you thought about perhaps picking it up on console? I play Black Ops on my PS3 occasionally and the console version of the game runs of a P2P network, so that should maybe make things slightly easier for you.
Otherwise, you could always wait until November for MW3... but I don't think they've confirmed or denied (100%) whether it'll have dedicated servers, or be a P2P type connection.
Got tf2 when it was on sale ages ago for $2.50. played ~1500 hours so far. took a break from it for a while when trading was taking over my life. now I'm back to normal 2forting it up
I've played Tf2 for many an hour, I have taken a shallow dive into competitive play, it's somewhat tactical and skilled, but no-where near something like Quake or Starcraft.
It's a very fun pub game, but unfortunately you rely on your team-mates quite a bit, so unless you have a rag-tag group of friends to pocket heal and support you, you'll probably meet your demise to the herping and derping of team-mates.
