Nice initiative, although I agree with light's point that it feels like too much effort for little reward.

However, if you have some stupid ass rule like "no cheesing allowed" your ladder is literally a joke.

The reason "no cheese" is a silly rule is partly because, as others have pointed out, it's hard to define exactly what "cheese" is. But I think the bigger impact of "no cheese" is that people will just play extremely greedy because they know they will be safe. For example, in PvZ I would take a third base at 5 minutes because I know that there won't be cheese like fast roaches, banelings, or mass slowlings.

tldr, cheese is an important part of the game

Yeah after a lot of people said its hard to define it so that rule is scraped. I think instead of ladders I will make a 1v1 tournament for bronze and silver players only.

Yea, that would be a better idea and far easier to organise. However, there already is the BSG tournament on SEA so you might want to think of something to make your tourney special.

I'm most likely going to call it Extreme Reaistance SC2 ODC (One Day Comp) to get my gaming organisation name out there.

At this point it will be a 1v1 tournament for bronze and silver players. 16 spots only. First prize: To be Announced. 2nd prize: To be Announced. 3rd prize: To Be Anounced.
