I just want to thank everyone for the incredible amount of help and support I have received in the last few months. It's been brilliant, and has literally brought a tear to my eye on numerous occasions. I owe everyone here a huge favour. Still a few more weeks to go til the operation, but I'll let you all know how I go through it, as I have to get checkups every 6 months hereon in, and I'll need another operation on my left eye in the next year or so. I will write a blog with photos of 'Pirate Nick' after the surgery, and there is going to be a mega list of people to thank for all their support! The prizes will be drawn out when I get back from my week long holiday next Saturday!

The ChipIn widget's been down, but now we can see that we've raised over $1000 for ParO's cause! Excellent job everyone! What's more is that I think the ChipIn widget only counts its own click throughs, so any donations direct to ParO via paypal aren't actually shown, so there's potentially a little more. I think this meets the goal set for the stream - to get half way to the $2k cost of the operation. ♥
