Minimat said he was on Sheth's stream. Find someone who can contact Sheth and ask him if thats correct?
I just sent Sheth a PM on teamliquid.net regarding this situation. We can wait and see if he has any information, and upon any replies from him, I'll post both my PM and his response in this thread.
I think this is necessary as some members are unsure about the evidence and thus what to do about the situation.
I know ayyye, it sucks xD well I don't exactly know where I stand bout all this. If someone needs to make a smurf account to get a competition 'win'. He obviously doesnt get attention from anywhere else. Us complaining is what he wants to give him a kick.
which bsg player have you ever met who has 200 apm? even with spamming, the best BSGs i've met in my games are in the low hundreds. and those are the ones that almost invariably get promoted.
I have the rep's uploading now and it's quite obvious he was in the stream because of the way he reacted when I said sheth's name. Before that I just said he was in a stream and he was calm, then I said sheth and instantly rage.
After taking everything into account; having spoken to a few of you in-depth over battle.net and reviewing the screen-shots provided to me both in this thread and via email I have ultimately decided to DQ Orc and would like to officially announce the winner of the BSG #06 as JimOK!
While there is no solid evidence; however a lot of speculation I would like to apologize to the players who played Orc in the BSG#06 and I hope that it doesn't happen in the future.
I would also like to announce that the BSG will be taking on two new recruits; BakaInu and Zergtastic who I will be training over the next couple of weeks to begin hosting the BSG tournaments
After much deliberation, sky and nirvana decided that there was just overwhelming support that the BSG winner was clearly not a BSG player and just intended to cause grief for the BSG players.
1) He was trolling the chat hard and provoking the players (This already derserves a ban for immature/poor conduct)
2) Suspicious account activity - High APM, different race played from account, account had very little games and last played 15 weeks ago.
3) Uncontactable after tournament - He did not bother to send in the replays or the interview he was sent. It was quite clear his only intention was to spoil the fun of other players.
I have not banned him from the site yet as im hoping for an explanation but he will be banned from any tournaments on sc2sea and is not welcomed in our community. Its sad that players like him can only find fun from ruining everyone else's. Second place finisher Jimok has been awarded the win and will take extra effort to monitor suspicious characters to ensure this doesnt happen again.
Congrats to JimOk for a great tournament run through to the final. Good to see Breaker positive still even through a horror tournament. You're the real champion

. Scenarios like this are quite frustrating; we can only strive to avoid them in future tournaments.
Hope to see you in the upcoming BSG hosted by Baka & Zergtastic
