I'm not sure how it works, but it sound like bliz gave out x ammount of invites to certain sites, and that was the part of the actual wave of keys, All that has to happen now is Bliz receive the emails of the Bnet accounts of the winners, and then activate it.


Could be wrong though, but after reading billd sc2 said, that's the conclusion i came to :P

Got my beta email Friday, downloaded the client from my battle.net and I can't login!

Nooooooooo, some silly error that a lot of people are getting it seems: "Your account has no accounts that can be used in this region"

Was really looking forward to playing this weekend too, crap!

Hmm, so how come someone who won a key in the same beta tournament as megets his beta invite, and I don't? Blizzard really screwing up these giveaways!

if i read correctly, nirv gave them names a few days ago, the most recent wave of invites was also a few days ago.

Patience guys, you'll get it, they send invites in waves, if your name wasnt on the list prior to them processing that wave you wouldnt get it until the next wave, it all takes time and effort.

Chill and practise WoL so you can be gosu @ HotS, ^_^

Yea not blaming Nirv. I assume he just handed in all the email addresses at the same time. Unless he sent them wrong (Which I doubt) then it is just Blizzard screwing things up

Wow some peoples responses in here are unbelievable. This was a community competition, not your god given right to get a beta key.

Also, beta keys take time, don't spam PJ or be annoying about it, you will get your key. Remember there are thousands who missed out and you have a key on the way, so be patient!

Hey guys, I know you're all anxious for the keys so here's some more information so you can understand the process better.

In the past, Blizzard gave community sites codes and we just handed them to the winners which they would use to activate their accounts instantly. It was a very simple and straight forward process. I'm not sure why, but this time they have adopted a manual activation approach. The TL and reddit giveaways went through the same process too. So basically we give Blizzard a list of emails and then they manually activate it whenever they choose to. As far as I know, the community managers aren't sure either when exactly the accounts will get activated, as they hand the list to Blizzard HQ the moment we pass it to them.

On the Friday wave, billd_sc2 got his key (and fixed his problem). I'm not sure who else got the email but I sent the list out on Tuesday (Monday in NA) so thought most of you would get it. As someone mentioned earlier, it took two waves for Reddit/TL winners to get theirs. Even for our staff keys a month ago, only a few got it in the first wave, a few more in the second and the rest in the third. BakaInu never got this key, and I do not know why but he's the only one lol!

Anyway I've sent Blizzard another email just in case and will inform you guys of any updates. In the mean time, please be patient, they will come eventually!

Thanks for the info, its a great thing what you're doing for the SC2 community, I think people are just eager more than anything haha, I know I check this thread and my Bnet like 50 times a day hahaha, we all know it's nothing to do with you, just waiting on bliz :P

EDIT: I assume that bliz stopped giving out the codes because some people were maybe selling them? IDK just a thought

Meh still nothing, Made a ticket asking about it and they said they can't Do anything about it and don't support 3rd party sites, I linked them the FAQ's on there forums where the guy says that they will be giving away a number of Keys to fan sites, and he didn't reply. GG bliz lel
