I think hellions make for great early game units from which to transition into MMM. If you make something like 6 hellions early game, you can:
1. Take a safe expansion
2. Prevent the zerg from taking a safe expansion
3. Punish him if he's taken a fast 3rd
4. Halt creep spread
After your initial factory, chuck down an expansion, 2 extra rax, 2 refineries, then get stim and tech to medivacs. You can then do a great push with MMM and hellions.
Try mixing in some banshee with whatever build, as a Zerg one thing that really annoys me is when they go to push or pressure and they have banshees cloaked floating around my base. It means we either have to have well placed spores or split our infestors up. Gl
u need to watch taeja that will help u a lot he has aroundr 80 percent win rate vs z
I agree, taeja is very good. His TvZ game sense is super accurate.
I remember a while back, he opened 4 rax pressure into mech - you get some pressure out, and he thinks you will probably go bio and prepare banelings and such, great way of hiding mech. (I do think this is considered cheese, but it's still interesting)
Reactor Hellions is the standard opener for TvZ since you can scout with them, deny creep spread and maybe fetch a few drone kills. It won't force units out from the Zerg that much compared before they buffed the Queen, but it will delay their expansion assuming you're the harassment well.
In my case, I just go Reaper FE, research Combat Shields and get 4raxes while teching up to medivac tech. Then push after 2 Medivacs are out, then transition to Pure MMM. Works on my league, at least.

Instead of complaining about balance, try, try again.
Earlygame ZvZ is basically a knifefight with suicide bombers.
Thanks again for the feedback guys at the moment I just do a marine/marauder/hellion push at 10 minutes with +1 and combat and stim, works really well most of the time but you have to micro like hell.
i really love the timing that u push out with 8 hellion and mm thats pretty cool but then again i prefer marine tank medivac pushes more it just seems like its better
hey, i was having exactly same problem not long ago. I'm high level platinum terran also. I went straight back to basics of my build to see what i'd forgotten and where i was going wrong, watch dignitasApollo's tutorials on TvZ again and got my build back on track:
