Similar to everyone else, i am 1 rank higher on NA than i am on SEA. gold on SEA and Plat on NA. And you really notice the difference in skill levels of the players. i find that the plats on sea (well the ones i am gettin put up against) would tear through the plats from NA.
But we must be careful to not generalise all of the NA players and SEA players with a single generalisation - But have we found anyone (below masters) who is higher on SEA than they are on NA with a significant number of games played on both?
I was gold on the KR server as welld uring my free trial. i saw more new builds and weird pushes than i have in the last 20 hours playing on SEA or NA. just madness agression.

Yeah same for me and most of my team. I am on NA and on SEA. I made playing as random too on NA originally, although that was because I hardly got any games spawned as , which I am awful at lol.
yeah i agree this is a trend im finiding happening more and more, 1v1 SEA bronze 1v1 NA Gold 2v2 SEA bronze 2v2 NA silver 3v3 SEA Plat (Random and insuregence carried me ) also bronze here with some mates 3v3 NA Plat, its crazy! i dont under stand why this is but it is i think because ther are more players on the server the matchmaking system can get ppl more suited to your skill but that still. doesnt explain y i am such high levels compared to SEA on NA.

Interesting stats... reddit seems to have the general opinion the SEA server is less talented, but then again reddit is probably dominated by NA players anyways
I rarely play on NA but I remember doing my placement matches and playing about 20ish games knowing only the hot keys for scvs and marines and not knowing about "a-move" and still getting placed in silver and having a win rate well over 60%
Im kinda having a bit of a break from sc2 due to irl stuff (and spending my limited gaming time playing Heroes VI ^_^) but I think I should spend season 6 on NA to see what its like

Agree with yang: SEA is one league higher until mid masters, then it sort of evens out.
By the way, how does everyone rate low/mid/high/top masters? My understanding is top 100/50/25/8 is the corresponding sequence, but I'm not sure if everyone thinks of it that way?
NA is abit easier compared to SEA maybe mid-masters and below, that's from my own experience.
That said, i only ladder on NA if searching games on SEA is taking forever, or i go NA if i feel like getting BM-ed (which happens after >80% of the games there)
You guys are way over your head. There are many factors affecting your skill in some regions you play in, some people got a league higher or lower when they play in NA or in KR for example.
But the majority of people are saying if you're originally on SEA then you play on NA your league will go down then if you play in KR your league will go down further.
In my personal experience, NA is easier in the lower leagues, I am gold here, yet diamond on NA. However, what is interesting is that their masters and beyond seem to be of higher calibre than ours

Sadly from the replies here what you say appears to be untrue, the leagues are definitely easier on NA until mid masters as most people here have stated.
Am I the only one that expereinces less frequent, but more severe BM on SEA?
The worst BM I have got on NA is some trash talk before leaving or just simple trash comments about your race.
I have run into 2 very bad BM'ers on SEA, one of which was a protoss that always cannoned rushs and rages at his opponent very aggressively after and during the match. Another was a Zerg who got so mad at me for beating him as a Terran, he was litreally spamming swear words and threats relentlessly when he lost and after the match.
That's alright and all, but the thing that gets me is that the SEA population is so small, that almost always I will get matched up with them AGAIN straight if I que another match straight after win/losing against them.
I for one, hate running into BM'ers again and again especially seeing they are usually much more angry then before and will try to cheese you almost all the time, and as a person that favors macro games and fast expand builds.. It sort of sucks.
I usually go to the point where I will add the BM'er as a friend and wait until he/she is ingame THEN que my next match. I would do this even if they are online a week or so after their BM attack...

Now that is something I had not thought about at all. I play exclusively on the NA ladder () and it is a very rare occasion to run into the same person twice in a row.

That's a cool idea.
If they're really rude sometimes I go talk to them after the game, and say how sorry I am that their life is so terrible that they have to be rude to random people to feel better about themselves

Or just block communication with them so they can't talk to you any more.
But yeah, sometimes I ask people what it's like to have such a pathetic life they need validation from me for winning a game of starcraft... because sometimes I don't GG because I play horribly, and they want to go digging for a reaction.

Yeah I do that afterwards.
I had this one dude who kept pausing the game without saying anything and restarting without telling me, then he killed my main and my nat, but i had another two bases elsewhere, so I wasn't quite dead yet... then he was like 'gg ***' every 2 seconds til he found my other bases. I had to go and express my sympathy for his pathetic life afterwards
