As a fellow Terran, I have only one piece of advice to share to you right now.

In a TvT, when the enemy is going for Siege Tanks, always put your units on Hold Position. Seriously. It will save you bursting aneurysms.

Not really. You don't always have to make plenty of Marines to play Terran. They simply serve as the infantry unit in most unit compositions. When you go mech, landed Vikings can also serve as infantry for your artillery units, the Tanks and the Thors.
