Logo looks awesome. Love the serpent and the font etc - very kick ass and cool.

Possible ideas to try/ test could be:

• Continue the curve of the circle in the logo so that it goes into the text (so it looks like the shape of a planet horizon behind) - might be worth trying.
• I really like the clean-ness of the lines, but maybe a bevel on the circle of the logo and maybe around the writing could be nice?

The logos look really sick but shouldn't it have some kind of australian animal? We are Terror Australis after all . . .
I guess the problem is most Australian annimals look cute and friendly. Maybe like a badass koala or a Tyrannosaurus Rex ?

I only just noticed that the black and white logo's are quite different.

I personally prefer the font of the logo with the black text (white background), but I like the little gap in the middle stick of the E in TERROR, like you have in the white font.

If I had to pick, I prefer the text layout of the white logo where it is the same height as the logo (lines up with the top and bottom of the circle), but the other way looks very cool as well. I'm not sure how the black text font will look if it lined up though, so not sure if lining it up to the top and bottom of the circle is the right way to go.

At the end of the day both are great, so you can't really go wrong with either one.
