No but seriously, i like the idea of 4x bo3, and 1 bo1 for the ace match where a player can play again, makes that ace match so intense for spectators, even if kinda frustrating for players.


As for maps, its kinda hard when you're doing bo3's. If you do losers picks you want to try to have a pretty damn balanced map pool or else it makes for the silly scenario when whoever wins on the first (presumably balanced) has a ridiculous advantage when all they have to do afterwards is win on a massively favored towards them map in the third set. This can be worked around by stuff like thumbs downing etc in a bigger map pool tho.

Well yeah i like the idea of having Iccup maps. I guess i went for loser picks rather than a set map pool as i thought it would be fairer. Maybe another alternative is to have set maps for different rounds? So like first bo3 uses Metal Shakuras Steppes. Second round is Fighting Spirit Blistering Lost Temple. Something along those lines. Then captains can pick players that will do best on those map.

We could also do thumbs down its just a lot of extra mucking around though thats all. But yeah its quite possible. Anyways keep the feedback coming. On the format, when matches are held and maps.

The idea of set up maps for rounds sound pretty good imo. Lets players and captains try to pick players to match the map pools. Having thumbs up and down system can makes map kind of stale as players will tend to get rid of the same maps frequently making a lot of maps not be seen and a small and rather stale map pool appear.

yea lights idea is nice in an ideal world where everyone has time but its gonna take too long, teams will struggle to finish all the games and it cant be casted cause of the length.

we actually have a pretty long thread in the private forums and the vast majority voted for Bo3s 5 sets of matches. So its like nation wars format except for the 5th match its a 2v2 like wc3l. i wanted a clan ladder but no1 else did so oh well

anyway because of my work/family commtiments i personally hope there isnt a fixed time to play and we could just play our matches whenever players are free at our own leisure during the week. then during the weekend, unstable and co could like do a weekly wrap up, do the SoTG talk, do a tournament recap on the SEA scene and also cast a few of the best games from the clan league. well thats my idea and i think this "program" called "the sea word" or something will probably get more viewers then the traditional way we have been doing nation wars.

but anyway we willl just go with the majority vote.

2v2 wont be happening. Heh everyone i spoke to shut it down =/ So yeah probably just go with an ace match instead.

As for the timing thats why im going to try and go with have a set time and if there is anyone that cant make it just play during the week and have the replays in my mail by Monday or something. I think thats the best option but yeah see how the feedback continues to roll in.

personally i prefer to play from the standard map pool. not a big fan of the iccup maps. just maybe the regular maps with vetoes so you dont get people winning the first set and picking 3rd set as steppes or lt against a zerg etc. =p we all know zergs love steppes and lt against terran! =D
