u bought all the parts at fuwell except the monitor right? fuwell also got sell monitor?
Yeah they do sell monitors, but of a smaller range. When I got my desktop, Comex was ongoing so I simply got from there since all the merchants and brands were conveniently at the fair.
I want to wait for SSD prices to drop even further before I get one.
I support what most of you guys are generally recommending, get a computer from sim lim square. My preferred shops are Fuwell and Bell, and also Cyberactive (if you are looking for expensive high performance gaming parts), they are fair and give me good value for my money.
If you have the spare cash a small SSD (60GB to 80GB) is good as a C drive, because it speeds up your system more than any RAM can. Nowadays with windows7 any RAM more than 6GB is pretty much unused, so a 80GB SSD as C drive and a 1 TB as a D drive pretty much acts like a 80GB RAM, while all your normal programs go into the 1TB D drive.
At Sim Lim Square you can pretty much choose your all your favourite specs at a shop, with casing, and ask them to assemble for you. Then if there are any problems later just return to the shop since they provide warranty.
Such DIY assembled computers almost always outperform those from big companies, (eg, alienware, dell etc) for the same cost, as those companies are always looking to give you lower quality parts and maximise their profits from customers.

the rig I made for my dad in June runs sc2 at high and is able to stream smoothly without issues. it only cost $800. I expect it to run d3 at medium without any issues as well. with $2k, you'd be way over budget for your expectations.
my advice is that since computers become obsolete in about 2 years, buy a rig that will last you for 2 years in performance with relation to games. you will never be satisfied with your computer as time passes...
I got mine from PC Themes at SLS 4th floor. they do a good job as well. in addition to Fuwell, Bell systems is also recommended in general.
tip: unless you know your hardware really well, don't go to tradepac as there have been cases of them taking your parts (spares, cables, screws) when they assemble for you. that's the general consensus on tradepac even though it might be $10-$20 cheaper per part.
