zehlot would sound like ze-HHH-lot. You know how the Arabians talk? They emphasize the h like HHHH. That's what it would sound like.

I don't get too annoyed when people say zee-lot because although zealot is like zealous, zee-lot coincides with the pronunciation of zeal so it's not a big leap :P

zeee-lot sounds like a very singaporean way of pronouncing it. I know I was pronouncing it as zeeelot back in SC1 (I was like, 10 or something, gimme a break)
