It was originally a 5v5 competition with a 3k first prize, 5k total for first/second/third but there weren't enough other teams at the lan so they changed it to 2v2, we split out 5v5 team up into three teams (and recruited legionnaire as the 6th) to take first, second and third.

Team immunity covered our flight costs, and we won a few of the other competitions (1st/2nd/3rd wc3, 1st cnc3, 2nd SC:BW etc, so we personally didn't lose out on it. But if we were paying our own flights, 1k for 5 people is pretty bad -_-

Congratulations to infiSpider for winning the 1v1 event.

SC2 is not a good event for a LAN of this type and size due to the bandwidth restrictions. Next time the SC2 will definitely need to be run during off peak hours of the LAN when most steam users have gone to sleep.

Won't have that option during Val Halla because it is a single day event though...
