Just posting this here to check if anyone had the same problem or heard of it, I want to post this on Battle.Net forum but it's giving me error 500 so I'm posting it here first.

No, it's not because of Sharpshooter.

So what happened was I was doing an MF run with a friend, myself in full DPS. Then I picked up a new bow which was an upgrade from 900->1000 dps, which brought my DPS from 31k -> 38k.

After some time, i noticed my DPS suddenly had dropped from 38k to 32.4k. The only thing I had changed was the bow, as well as my skills (which I have now set back to what it was before)

Yes, I have double checked and triple checked and checked 10 times each and every item slot to make sure all of my gear is in. My dexterity is the same as before.

Yes, I have double checked and triple checked my skill configuration, everything is the same as before. No Sharpshooter.

Yes, I have tried removing every item, replacing every item, relogging, exiting the game, equip and unequiping every single slot. With my old bow my DPS is now 26k (down from 31k). With new bow my DPS is now 32.4k (down from 38k)

Wish I could ticket a blue to look at my account or something. :/

No it isn't, those DPS values (or at least the original 31k value) were obtained when I was solo.

Not sure then, I'd say it isn't a bug though... Probs you forgot you had frenzy buff and didn't notice.

Where's frenzy buff from? I have been farmin act 3 elevator/ act4 for the past few days, and v closely monitoring my stats as I gradually buy upgrades from AH. My DPS is obviously one stat that I keep a close eye on.

Whats strange is my Dex has remained constant

Frenzy is the 25% attack speed buff from the shrines around the place.

Buff from a shrine = Frenzy buff. If that wasn't it either, then it's definitely a bug. Post in the bug or Demon Hunter forums, that should yield some answers, and possibly flames =P

Nah definitely not, there are no shrines in the elevator runs. Just extremely frustrating to be pushing DPS up bit by bit then suddenly have it drop by 5k -_-

Yea I'm posting on bnet forums as soon as it lets me. I wonder how you report a bnet forum posting bug lol.

I believe it factors in critical chance so if you have the critical passive buff all the way up then it should show higher. I haven't taken the time to check my facts on this, but it is something to look into.

Edit: Oh, I may be talking about sharpshooter, which you already mentioned. If so, disregard!

Yup Ziggy, that is Sharpshooter. I do not run with Sharpshooter normally so it was never factored in.

Companion? I can't recall what the Enchantress provides, but I know that the level 30 Scoundrel abilities give you increased crit % or bonus dmg on crit. You said you were playing solo when you pulled those numbers, so this would make a lot of sense.

Enchantress can give bonus armor and bonus attack speed (which would increase your damage on your inventory)

Maybe it's cuz your old Bow had some Crit damage increase ? That stat boosts dps by tons.

Hmmm... There's no way he could have increased your damage, is there? I'm pretty sure off the top of my head he doesn't provide anything besides resource regeneration in terms of bonuses, and the only stats on his gear which would benefit you would be +MF/+Exp/etc.

Nope, I just tested it and re-hired Templar to check if my DPS changes. It didn't.

I recall being in a game with asrath around level 20 and my dh went from 360 to 320 dps at some point as well, and we were pretty unsure as to what could have caused it. I don't pay enough attention to my stats to give more information then that though im afraid. Definetely had no spells or shrines that could have caused it though.

I'm gonna chime in as well and mention that my DH's DPS randomly dropped - and this was before I even started using SS. I just figured I misread it or whatever, but with multiple reports it seems either the character sheet is misrepresenting values or something's broken.

Man that sucks. If it dropped by a few hundred it wouldn't be that big a deal, but a 6k DPS drop is ridiculous.

This just happened to me.... had 51k dps and started a new game only to find the damage meter was only showing like 20k dps when playing.

I immediatly looked in the inventory and there it was... my dps was like 24k for no reason.

I took all of my equipment off and then put it all back on and it seemed to have fixed it. Back to 51k.

All i can say is wierd!

EDIT: And its not the sharpshooter passive either.... just dropped for no reason.

Yeah sorry crAzerk by damage meter I mean the damage numbers displayed above the NPC when you hit them. IT was a dramatic reduction in what it should have been....
