Ah, we're not using Phoneheha, or our other two beasts, We want to keep it a really even/close match and we want to see some good games! It wouldn't be fair if we had our GML players play against Diamond players.

EDIT: The reason we haven't submitted a roster yet is because we're still finalizing whether some of our players can make that day (I like to make sure my players get an even amount of play-time)

as a nutraul bi stander who wants to see good games you will need phoneheha as sivvon slowhands and scarmagar are all good players who you should respect. Don't rule out a player as at the end of the day you want to be going for the win to increase team moral aswell as not getting to these auto defenses of "we didn't use our best team" which is just whiny and annoying. Also the line between gm and masters isn't as big as people think. For example last night on ladder i lost to both Phoneheha and TAsivvon. Purly by this you shouldn't say phoneheha is too good. Another factor is people want to have a go at someone above there skill level to see where they can improve. This is why people love clan wars etc it helps improvement. ok rant done PLAY PHONEHEHA

As we have a larger quantity of players to choose from, I think it's best for FvR to decide on their lineup first and for us to pick a lineup that is competitive to a point that neither teams are favoured to win. This way both teams benefit from this friendly clanwar without it being a walkover for either side.

Oh, I'm not insulting our opponents at all. I just don't want to rely on our absolute strongest when it comes to a friendly. We're having some fun, so I want to give our other members a chance. We have strong players, and if we have almost confirmed our line-up.

At this stage Phoneheha (for aforementioned reason), Flamy (aka Rageblade) and Keith are out because Keith is providing stream and casting, and Flamy is taking a break for university. Also, GML and high masters = essentially the same thing outside the top 100~ (On SEA anyway). I'm not saying I'm underestimating our opponents, the Line-up I am trying to confirm has the same amount of D-M ratio as theirs. :S Sorry if it appeared to insult you guys, that wasn't my intention.

That's what its all about =). I do think its a good idea for you to submit a lineup then we add/take away players from ours to make it as even as possible, but I think our current roster would line up pretty nicely against the majority of FvR league and skill wise.

Ah, next time we should play at least a Diamond first or something. Sorry for changing our line-up so drastically, but when you think the competition is going to be Diamond-Mid Masters then you play that kind of line-up. Playing a top 8 Masters first just seems kind of against the point of a friendly (in this sense anyway).

I did also find an issue with the Captain calling one of our players BM (he was, but he apologized) and then proceeding to BM him (ironic imo).

I know that is coming from a 'sore-loser' point of view, but that is how I feel and it is probably how I'll feel tomorrow. More than happy to play you guys again soon, hopefully after we do some major improvements. I'd like to see our boys play more than one of your players next time.

You should probably speak to your captain about getting a game.

As for Flamey, his apology was half arsed for how rude he was to Danny. I gave him a chance to apologize properly for his behavior in our game but he genuinely believed he'd done nothing wrong. I have no problem with the rest of FvR, but if flamey wants to be a jerk then he can be expected to be treated in kind.

I think the reality is that it can be really hard to balance any sort of competition that involves masters players. There is just such a great variety in masters players starting from the fresh out of Diamonds like myself to the professional players who only just missed out on GM.

Aside from a change in format not much can be done.

It's also pretty petty that you (as the team's captain) would stoop to that level, to be bad manner and then to say that 'it was alright and he deserved it because he did it to us'. I thought that a mature person would have accepted that, and done their 1-1-1 and won gracefully.

I'm not saying you didn't have the right to do so, I mean he was bad manner. I just thought being the bigger man was definitely more important, especially when saying that manner was so important (at the start of that same game).

Tbh I thought danny was high diamond low masters level, he fluctuates skill level so much because of his activity so I sent him out not knowing he's high masters. Should definitely make it diamonds only for the first couple of games next clan war.
