Reschedules and no show ruling - As with Week 11 we can not be waiting around for un-announced reschedules to be played so if no warning is given, or a inadequate excuse then Walk Overs will be awarded (Walk overs awarded strictly by Admin approval only). If there is an expected reason to reschedule, organise that between the two team captains with a dead line of Mid night Monday 9th for the match to be played, that is, for example Player from team A is unavailable and needs reschedule but can not make a time before Tuesday, the match will be walked over or a sub used.
Sub allowance - As this is the Play offs, no team wants to see the results secured by Walk overs - therefore teams will be give 2 subs to use each week; for emergency replacement of no-show players etc.

Did we end up coming to a conclusion as to what we were doing with promotions and the rule amendments for this week? As most are aware, there are a few that should get promoted today (in my head, everyone that has beat me ever is a smurf or very close to a promotion - yeah i am completely biased like that). I am thinking that a few from TA could hit diamond, minimat demolished me, and i was pretty high plat, and i am sure there are guys close from ToR and PP, such as breadfan who is amazing and just doesnt ladder much - i looked at his record and he is like 25-8 in his last 33 games. I stopped looking cause it made my win/loss ration look so much worse - he shoudl be in plat ezpz.

Any rules that are implemented last minute are sure to be a bother on all of the 4 teams remaining, especially when we will need to reshuffle teams and find more available people before wednesday night submission. So for this week of the playoffs, can we just disregard promotions that may have occurred, with the new rule to be implemented for next week's competition? I dont think it will affect ZC at all (as we are unliekly to have any more than 1 guy promoted to plat or 1 promoted to diamond - betasoo probably , so it really wont affect us.

But for consistency, can we agree something before it becomes a mad rush to figure out promotions and new rules?

Leagues are locked for this week, so we play them as they are now, after this week we will look at how promotions effect teams and decided from there. So it can be an informed and universally fair decision.

yeah.. well My record against Smoky is pretty solid - I think I'm 4-0 or something in our ZvZ practice recently >.<

On the topics of promotions, because i am a stalker, i was checking out the diamond and plat ranks. I saw the following promotions:-

1) minimat to Diamond;
2) Navic to Diamond;
3) CLSmooth to diamond (!) (wtf, he was bronze when he started)
4) HoHDougolas to plat (sry for misspelling name, i know there is an extra "o" in there somewhere"
5) i saw that TABreylin was in my plat division, i thought he was a gold random last season?

Anyone know of any other promotions from tier 5? It sorta makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see all these tier 5 guys that have improved.

The rumour is that tier 4 will only be play diamond next season, which should be pretty awesome. i will definitely see you all there.

Pls post all promotions, not because I care about the rules or the teams, but because tier 5 is the best, and we should be congratulating those of us who have actually gone up a rank.

I am aware that Eaeron won his match 2-1 and due to miss communication and difficult schedules Rogue was awarded a walk over EvilSWAT.. Giving TA a 2-0 lead with three games to play..

I think the loss in the last week has shifted us into gear again; looking forward to the granny!

And then there were Three:

TA, the favourites all season, finishing first in the regular season, are the first qualifiers to the grand final. It was great that the two teams that made it to 23 points durign the regular season had the first opportunity to qualify for the Grand Final.

The other two teams, Perth Penguins and Zerocraft, will fight it out next week in what will be the final week for one of these two teams.

both teams have a great opportunity to make the grand finals and really state that they were at least the second best team this season. For the Loser, it is season ending, and unfortunately the season ends with a defeat.

strange fact: this is only Zerocraft's second loss of the entire season. after a draw with perth penguins in their regular season, and beating TA, the only team with less losses is the one that has made the grand final already.
