Hey all,

So I was watching Orb cast the Korean Weekly tournament the other day and noticed that he had some kind of colour modification, which I found out was the "Strong Colour Mod".

Basically I'm just wandering does anyone here use this colour mod? The big question is whether Blizzard would ban you as they may see this for being a cheat that modifies the game however an interview from Blizzcon with Dustin Browder explained that Blizzard did in-fact support the mod. Whether they would ban you for it is another question but to my knowledge nobody has been banned yet for using it.

I think it looks really cool, the buildings, units, especially the banelings! I would like to install it but there's a bit of uncertainty in me. I feel as if there is a bit of a difference to playing with it on ladder and using it soley for casting so viewers can see what's going on a bit better.

So yeah just wandering if anyone is using this? It's been around for awhile.

I've seen it a few times and I wanna use it but it makes terran units look a little silly T.T I know someone who uses it and he likes it a lot.

Haha, I thought this was a necro'd thread. Can't find the original thread though.

Personally I would love Blizzard to incorporate this into Heart of the Swarm. Makes things so much clearer.

I use it . I find it so great. it makes the units so much easier to depict what is what. Really good

Looks great, I'm thinking about using it.

Also, while I was watching the ACL last week I noticed a lot of the zergs where using pink and purple while versing each other... doesn't get any more confusing than that

OMG! This is the first time I'm seeing this, but I am most likely going to DL it when I get home tonight.. I've had far too many lost ZvZ's just to dodgy glances on my behalf

It's great.

I was afraid of relying on it a little too much in PvP or ZvZ but to be honest, it just makes everything look better. I strongly recommend it for anyone.

You guess correctly. Also I heard from many reliable sources that I trust that Blizzard couldn't give two shits about this particular patch.

I don't see how it does.. it's something that should probably already be in the game.. trying to distinguish zealots and banes is just stupid... if anything - it evens the playing field for people that perhaps dont have as sharp of an eyesight to notice a zealot with a red blade rather than a blue blade...

My computer's already old and slowish and laggy... would this make it noticibly worse, or it is small enough not to?

Yea guys maynarde is correct, I can remember when (as it was a while ago) but blizzard did say that this mod was fine for use and people wont be banned for using it.

I did use it myself, however I stopped as if I want to play at LAN or the like then it will not carry over, so just easier sticking with the standard colours. Although would help if blizzard did something like this :P
