I guess the cat is out of the bag in a sense. For those that are closer to me, you will know I've been training hard to join this year's My Paper Executive Look, a tournament that promotes looks as well as a good outlook on life. My sister, Jacyln took 2nd place last year and was best communicator as well. As she is an author and works for Nike, it got loads of free advertisement for her new book (coming out in May, "The Chick, the Parent and the Wardrobe) as well for her company. $5,000 + HTC Phone + numerous endorsement shoots helps alot too!

She has convinced me to join this year's tournament, and this would give SC2 and e-Sports community a ton of spotlight if I were to place highly in this tournament. This is where I would like encouragement from the SC2SEA community!
1) When the tournament is announced, I need the community to tweet and blast this out, cause it is a popularity contest to a degree.
2) I was a lean, green, fighting machine when I was in army at 65kg. 8 years later, I am hovering at close to 90kg which is depressing. Since training, I am now at 84kg and my goal is to hit as low as possible before my application to this tournament on Feb 1st.
So lets make a deal. Help me and help the SC2 out! For every $1 donated to the SC2SEA tournament fund, I will run a lap around the NIE 400m track (just don't like.. donate $100. I'll just die..) in my bid to lose weight and help the community fund
In return, I pledge 50% of my potential winnings in this tournament towards SEA-wide tournament prize pools (in cash) through MSS
Hope you support me as I find time to balance work, MSS, tournament runnings, overseas trips AND training for this!
dang.. i dun have paypal.. =( can someone in sg help me out on this? i pay u cash.. and u help me donate to the site? LOL can i get the run on vid HD? =p we can make it your movie~ maybe motivate more people to run like u? =D
LOL, if people actually donate, I WILL make a video out of it =) Enjoy my suffering.. I really REALLY REAAAAAAALLY hate running. I prefer swimming...
@Zeion or anyone in Singapore without PayPal: If you pass me the money at SSL Jan or whenever you see me, I will donate on your behalf and give you credit =X

Swimming is just as good, no need to run every time you know. I mean sure running is good, but if you really prefer swimming over running then swimming should appear somewhere in your training regime.
thumbs up. closing date feb 9! i watch yr stream when i'm free.
do u have to pass ippt yrly as well? don't talk about competitions, even passing ippt yearly is getting difficult as the years go on.
Going for a run tomorrow and going to do a Vlog about it. Oxygen, you better be ready to cough up some $$$ for the community fund ^^. Like $2 cause I'll probably die after 1 round, lulz
So I ran 5 laps so far before I had to quit... Boy am I out of shape. Brultze has kindly donated $10 and Usul $20 so I have 25 laps to go... Oxygen, you also mentioned you'll chip in, eh?
nix~ as a PTI (2 yrs back) a tip for u.. given that you love swimming more den running, u can swim to lose weight =D
if u are to run 5km, do double in your swim (freestyle) clock each lap within a certain time of a comfortable pace and with each session try to reduce the timing by seconds.. but i believe u will be chao ta after 1 wk.. lol.. i been there with my PES BPs so.. i assure u that this will work..
my biggest success loss was 120kg to 70kg.. but HE'S REALLLLLY hardworking... and of cos.. having that much time to spare since it's NS period..
hey phoenix, maybe you can try for IPPT gold as well. its a confirmed $400 payout, and also quite challenging.
last time when i was in NS, my CSM used to say that only about 10-20 percent of NSFs get gold. And only 10 percent of those with gold maintain it into their reservist years.
if you get a gold as reservist at age 30, its top 1% of the cohort. more exclusive than master league in starcraft 2 terms!
hm yes. i have a serious problem with running. last time nsf no problem at all. but when reservist, slip to silver, then this year drop to just pass only. those 6 rounds are a torture.
Sunset: I was gold in army. Heck, my entire platoon was gold cause we were scouts and not having it was shame.. Our PC was rough. But yes, I shall go for it ^^ Even at 30 yrs old
zeion: hey, those steroids most docs give aren't useful for running. anabolic steroids are quite hard to come by leh. but a couple of panadols to reduce pain and asthma inhalers may shave a few secs off.
phoenix: u armour too? scouts always the fittest in the battalion! i was 40sar in my nsf days. now i'm 31. old. and cannot run already..haha
