Similar to Nerve Gaming's Logo competition and we have borrowed some of their text as well because it was well written and said what we wanted to say too

Our old mascot has served us well for the last 10 years and its time for change.

Prize!
The winning logo will become our official logo used for our events and on our clan page. Other than having your creation being seen by many others and the pride you will feel knowing you made that logo, it will be placed on aLt clan member tees (more on that below).

In addition, we will be rewarding the creator of the winning logo with........a 6 Month Basic Grand Master Manual Subscription (http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php?t=1413)! If you had always wanted TGM but just didn't have the money to spare, this is your chance. If you like, you could also give the subscription as a present to a member of your choice.

Design Rules:
What is in the logo is completely up to you, you have the creative freedom to create what you believe will win you this competition, the only thing that must be in your logo is either our full name aLternative, or our tag aLt, or even both. Perhaps some starcraft refence like a marine's machinegun or animal farm reference (pig/ninja/sheep/duck/cow) will be cool. You however are NOT allowed to use any copyrighted images whatsoever, everything must be original or drawn by yourself. I.e no pasting SC2 images in the background. By winning you give aLt the license to use the logo for any purposes they wish, although you will be rightfully acknowledged as the creator.

We will be announcing the winner on the 5th of December (subject to change, but you will be notified if it does). If you have any questions ask them here and I'll be sure to answer them as soon as I can.

We plan to have the logo on the right sleeve of sc2sea tees ordered by aLt members.

Note to all clan leaders: If your clan has a minimum number of 20 orders for tees(required by the factory), you could send me a high quality version of your clan logo too and it will be added to the sleeve of sc2sea tees for free! Just need to satisfy the minimum order requirement.

I always found that hippo were over-cool, so i tried to give it a shot.
The quality is not perfect, as i did it from work, but it's roughly how a hippo should looks like

So I got distracted from studying for my next exam...

I tried a few different feels and styles, just throwing out some ideas. Some following the feel of the old hippo logo. Also made variations where "aLt" or the full "aLternate" words could be used.

And oh ya, pig+sheep+ninja. Not sure about fonts used for the mascot centered logo. Black shapes for now, colour fill-ins can be changed anytime.

The design with aLt forming a hippo is the most creative and the best one IMO. These are the sorts of logos that are simple, yet paint a clear picture.

Personally , i find the second design is more suited for a logo cause of the simplicity and cool looks from the logo.
On the other hand , the first one is more wavy and more colour.

Its a bit hard using very basic image software, but the idea was create a bunch of clones in sepia tone with the alternate dude looking different and standing out in colour. Unfortunately I don't have the skill to make it work like my imagination would have wanted. Also, maybe the idea is too complex for a logo which will probably look better with a more simple idea. Ah well...

@nirvAnA , in my thoughts , if i'm you , i'll use Tehbing's design beside everyname of the member according to their race.

e.g (Tehbing's protoss) aLtnirvAnA

And then on the right arm , put my logo.

This logo has officially replaced our hippo logo as the official one, thank you tehbing!

The Tee-Shirt company advised us to use this Eagle logo instead to print on our sleeves because of the colors (black / white tees will mix up) as well as the pixalated issue. So we will be using this! Thank you doctor!
