SEA Community Ladder Season 1!
What?
We all love to play Starcraft 2, but get frustrated when we have some massive lose streak on ladder. Some of us like to take part in tournaments for the thrill, or just to be part of some SC2 Ladder competition.
Well, this is it!
I am organizing a 1 month+ season community ladder, where basically players will be matched against each other and get points accordingly, and this will be updated on a ladder table just like any ladder system.
This is not directly affiliated to the website, it's my own initiative at something fun ;D
For who?
I am restricting this to Bronze - Masters players.
Any Prizes?
TBA.
Most likely there will be NO cash prize. Just the pride and glory of dominating SEA Community Ladder! I will work on some coaching incentive of some sort. Anyone interested to offer free coaching is welcome to contact me!
When/How/Details?
Round Robin Stage When:Started! How: Round Robin format (i.e. You'll play everyone else in the ladder). Details: Each week you can expect to play 3-5 matches (depending on # of participants). All results must be reported to me via PM or email (crazerkd3@gmail.com) or simply post in the results thread
You are to contact your opponent and arrange for the game on your own. If your opponent is uncontactable, a walkover may be awarded.
All games must be played and reported by the end of the week. If I don't hear anything from both players, both will be awarded a 'no-show' (-1 ladder point) Maps: For each week, 3 maps will be made available for play. Each player will make one veto, and you will play on the remaining map. The higher ra
nked player will veto first. If your leagues are equal, coinflip. Settle it. All games at this stage are by default Bo1 unless you and your opponent agree to a Bo3/Bo5/Bo31415
Ladder season will climax with a play-off stage after all the round-robin matches have been played, where the top players of the ladder table will compete to be the official winner.
Play-Off Stage When: To be announced How: Bo3, single elimination. Finals Bo5. Details: Will be held on one day like a mini-tournament. Maps: To be announced.
Masters Division This is outdated. Read this instead.
UPDATE: The masters division is currently put on hold, crazerk and I will work something out of his exams. So for players in the masters league, please DO NOT PLAY your games. Basically the prize will be a SC2 Taiwan key sponsored by sc2sea.com and it will be made an official event. We will be testing the sc2sea ladder system as well.
For the non-masters league division everything continues as normally.
By popular demand, I am opening up a ladder as well for Masters League participants in a separate mini ladder for now. Next season we will have better integration, but for now, you guys will compete in a separate ladder from the rest. Requirements: Diamond or low-mid Masters League. If you have a 55-60% and above WR AND you are the top 8 of your division, you are most likely ineligible.
Players playing in the Main Division CAN play in Masters Division, but you must make sure you don't miss any games.
When?
Will start as soon as I hit 20 participants or this Saturday, whichever comes first.
How?
Round Robin format (i.e. You'll play everyone else in the ladder).
The top 8 will qualify for the playoff-stage, which will be a Bo3 single elimination, Bo5 finals.

Signing up for Masters Division! TheGrayZerg.292 ,Skype: crazerk
IMPORTANT: Please be able to commit to playing 3-5 matches a week, for 4-5 weeks, before signing up.
(if you're going on holiday, refer to FAQ point #4!) Players missing their games 2 weeks in a row without valid reason will be removed from the ladder and banned from future ladders.
- If any disconnects occur within the first two minutes of game-play, the match will be replayed. However if the disconnect occurs after two minutes of game-time, the game can be replayed if both players agree to it. If not, the replay must be submitted to crAzerk who will decide if the game is replayed or a win is awarded to a player.
- Any disputes will be handled by crAzerk after reviewing all associated replays.
- Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
- Players must have their own SEA account, playing on a friends is not allowed
- Players must play the race they registered as and are not allowed to switch races. If a player wishes to choose their match-ups, they must notify me before season commences. (ie. TvP, TvZ, ZvT). If for some reason you want to switch race mid-tournament, you must complete your week's games as well as the next, and only use your new race the following week.
- A win is awarded one point, a loss 0 points, a draw is replayed. A no-show without valid reason results in -1 point.
- Cheating is strictly prohibited. Anyone found to be smurfing/streamcheating/maphacking or cheating in any way will be autodisqualified and banned from future ladders.
1) Isn't it unfair that I, a BSG player, have to compete with the PD players?
Yes, that's why there will be separate criteria to determine qualification for playoffs.
You will still play everyone else in the ladder, just that your points will be compared with those in your skill level.
2)How exactly does the qualification for playoffs work?
Top 4 of the players and Top 4 of the players will qualify for the playoffs.
For the Masters Division, Top 4 of the ladder table will qualify for the playoffs.
Seeding is based on your SEACoL ladder ranking.
3) Are the Main Division and Masters Division playoffs combined? Zomg I'll be fighting Masters League opponents?!
No, they are not combined, and will be held separately, on the same day.
4) I want to join but I'll be on holiday!
I understand that December is the holiday month and you may be away for 1-2 weeks on vacation. If you are interested in joining despite this, please do still indicate your interest, as well as state the exact time period you're away. We may be able to work something out.
5) Can I help with this via casting / coaching / offer prize ?
Of course! Just drop me a PM about it.
6) How do I contact my opponent?
Try to stay in Battle.net chat channel 'SC2SEA' whenever you're online, for the duration of the league! Can always hang out there and chat anyway.
In addition, a player contact list (with Skype) will be sent to all participants before commencement of the tournament to aid this process.
7) I can't contact my opponent!?!!?
Inform me ASAP if after 3 days of the week's commencement your opponent is still MIA. (e.g. Week starts on Monday, by Thursday if you still can't contact your opponent let me know)
8) This whole thing sucks!
Well thanks for reading anyway have a nice day ktnxbai.
9) Why does your portrait not have a nose?
Why does Lord Voldemort not have a nose?
(The bracketed name at the end indicate the player's forum nick, so you know who to PM if you choose to. Those without these have the same forum nick as their IGN)
