Foreword: snake = Vortex manager
Paroxysm = same paroxysm you all know and love on here, and was appointed sc2 division manager of Vortex
vtx.DB Paroxysm: yo
vtx.DB Paroxysm: whats been going on?
VTX.DB snake: Not a lot.
VTX.DB snake: You?
vtx.DB Paroxysm: same here ai
VTX.DB snake: How's sc2?
vtx.DB Paroxysm: eh alright
vtx.DB Paroxysm: team has no ******* clue whats going on :/
VTX.DB snake: rofl
VTX.DB snake: as I said. Talk to oriiON, he's more engaged.
vtx.DB Paroxysm: .. you said you were going to talk to him about that LAN and getting money for the trips
VTX.DB snake: No, I didn't? o_O
vtx.DB Paroxysm: yeah you did haha
VTX.DB snake: Did I?
VTX.DB snake: Nope.
VTX.DB snake: lmao
vtx.DB Paroxysm: yeah
vtx.DB Paroxysm: about 1 week ago
VTX.DB snake: I said I would ask him about the jerseys for HuT
vtx.DB Paroxysm: i gave you the link, you said you'd talk to oriion about it.
VTX.DB snake: by November 20th.
vtx.DB Paroxysm: ...
VTX.DB snake: I remember that link
VTX.DB snake: I didn't say I would talk to Billy thoug.
VTX.DB snake: though*
vtx.DB Paroxysm: I clearly remember you saying that you would, because it was something that I questioned whether we could get funds to send a few of our players there
vtx.DB Paroxysm: I also asked about jerseys
vtx.DB Paroxysm: you said you would talk to oriion about them..
VTX.DB snake: Are you getting pissy?
vtx.DB Paroxysm: a little bit yes.. the fact that we cant organise shit within a team is pretty ridiculous
VTX.DB snake: I've kind of lost interest in the RTS divisions.
VTX.DB snake: Billy is more of the CFO
vtx.DB Paroxysm: especially when you say halfway through that you are contemplating switching divisions..
VTX.DB snake: He's more engaged with DB
vtx.DB Paroxysm: sorry 'ditching' divisions...
VTX.DB snake: LOL.
VTX.DB snake: I didn't say I would drop them half way through a contract.
vtx.DB Paroxysm: no
vtx.DB Paroxysm: but contemplating dropping them all together is still pretty stupid.
VTX.DB snake: Why?
vtx.DB Paroxysm: they could be trying to prove themselves with other teams rather than sitting around in a half assed team that is going to drop them in 2 and a half months..
VTX.DB snake: That contract wasn't even looked over by lawyers or anything yet.
VTX.DB snake: So I insist
VTX.DB snake: get
VTX.DB snake: out
VTX.DB snake: of
VTX.DB snake: my
VTX.DB snake: organisation
vtx.DB Paroxysm: such a good clan leader haha
vtx.DB Paroxysm: what a ******* joke.
VTX.DB snake: Cool story, man.
VTX.DB snake: I couldn't care less about RTS'.
VTX.DB snake: I'm 100% more engaged with FPS.
VTX.DB snake: So if you want to bitch
VTX.DB snake: take it somewhere else.
vtx.DB Paroxysm: the fact that you waste a group of peoples time with an RTS genre of gaming in a team, with absolutely no care about it at all is embarassing to say the least.
Few minutes later..
VTX.DB snake: Hey, mate. Just to inform you, we'll be cutting back on the RTS divisions.
HuTSEA: LOL
VTX.DB snake: I assume Parox spoke to you.
HuTSEA: Thanks for wasting my time.
VTX.DB snake: No worries.
Can't say I didn't see this coming.. But still funny however.
They came into sc2 with absolutely no knowledge of the game or how it works as an esport, and left it because its an RTS game. Im confused at every single decision vortex has made apart from the player choices, so maybe its best that they didn't continue in sc2. The Australian sc2 scene will grow faster without managers who make hasty decisions based off really awful logic.
I feel sorry the players.
Also, we should all thank paroxysm. SC2 in Australia deserves more, and it sounds like that was what he was trying to get for the players, at least.
I wish to express my sincerest apologies to all members of the Vortex team. I have been having troubles with the management of the team and tried to fix these problems in order to get you guys to tournaments and whatnot. Unfortunately I was unable to do so, and as a result.. This kid got mad :/
this proves a point guys dont jump the gun thinking that things are going to be ace ( :'( ) why the hell is he so sup himself about "FPS".
fps isnt even as good as RTS to prove my point i am going to say when have u seen a televised "FPS" game ever(please....).
this gives a clear direction of never trust ppl who have a good history of "FPS" and not "RTS".
Amen to that deL. Will be good to get rid of the name that slightly hindered eSports in Australia... Alternatively - if anyone is looking for a team manager/coordinator/caster etc. You know where I am
Really disappointing my good friends "SeiSei" and HuT deserve better, but yeah Vortex are an average team who dont have teams anywhere near the top level of Australia let alone the global scale,
cybergamer is a really good website to check out before deciding whether to join a gaming organization (AUS/NZ) just to see how strong they actually are
I had heard some very interesting things about snake from Mayo that I relayed to both Sensei and HuT before I declined Vortex to join SQL. This doesn't surprise me at all.
He's a dirty rat and is a disgrace to the gaming world.
It sucks because there are so many good players who joined in hopes of a good team to join, but in the end they got completely BSed by the team manager...
I really hope this doesn't come across as a "told you so" post, because it's 150% not what I'm trying to say. It's just that... considering the original post advertising for Diamond players, and the links Mayo posted about Snake in other communities, I never would have gone near this with a 10 foot pole.
Haha Vortex gaming is a joke, they have no good teams for any games either, their Halo team is fairly average and have no outstanding achievements whatsoever (I competed amongst them throughout the 2011 Halo Reach season).
Their FPS manager Ryab (Idk what his name is now) is also a joke, he consistently goes around to different sponsors and lies trying to get them to sponsor him (faking achievements and claiming he's amongst the best gamers in Aus).
Dw guys they're nothing.
Gahh, now i have to search through all my "Favourite sporting teams" on Facebook to get rid of them!
It really sucks though guys, your better than those guys anyway, cant wait to see you involved with new teams tearing it up. ^_^
The funniest thing about this all is that when it comes to Australian 'organizations' in FPS (primarily CS 1.6/CSS) they're absolute shambles and never put their money where their mouth is. The only team that I ever worked with that were legitimate to me (albeit for a short time) were SQL. Of course the only other team known for having a good reputation in the FPS scene is Immunity.
Really sad to see people like these plaguing hard-working SC2 players (wouldn't be surprised if they're young kids running these so-called 'organizations' - what person with any decent education uses the term lawyer in Australia?).

Hope you guys bounce back.
Archaic has sent FPS players internationally on more than one occasion, and have been amazing with our RTS division and sent our players inter-state for even just small lan competitions.

Exactly, Arch msi have a good rep for being an organisation, it is FPS focused (although word has it this is mostly due to the Global Marketing Manager for MSI having a hard on for FPS) but still looks after their RTS boys, they had a LoL team they paid to go to WCG sydney (which has since disbanded due to problems within the team) the 1st event they played in they these new SoundBlaster headsets waiting for them and the manager of Arch MSI actually came down to support them! Not to mention sending Deth of the CH Lan (which the manager again came down to show his support), Voices to the SA WCG Qual and I believe is sending Voices, Pinder and Deth (maybe even Rossi?) to the upcoming Arena LAN!

You cant blanket all 'fps' organisations just by the few horrible ones.
There are a few respectable organisations out there that cover multi-gaming, not many though.
Archaic
Immunity
Team MEKA.Tt
Sequential
All the above orgs started and are/were mainly focused on FPS (they are all branching into RTS too), all of these orgs have sent people overseas. (iM = 1,6 team to everywhere! Arch = CSS team to Euro. SQL = 1.6 teams to other SEA places. MEKA.Tt = DoTA team to Pan asia WCG, CSS to Aus (from nz) and Guitar hero to LA)
Apologies, yeah I knew I forgot someone. My original point is still relevant, there are few teams that can stand up to the aforementioned in terms of legitimacy/providing adequately for top players.
V = Virgin (?). From this, we can conclude that most 15 year old CS:S players are virgins using stereotyping, which means V and 15 year old's just happen to click. I could be wrong, but either way, this guy (snake) is still a douche.

Is that me like a few years ago

The Chad is great!
I played with and against Snake in both CS:S and Quake, and he's just one of those FPS players that thinks there is nothing more to eSports than CS.
I'm sorry I didn't see that Snake was the manager earlier, I could have warned everyone -.-
Still, super sad to see very promising players waste their time like that, and I hope other prestigious clans will open their arms to you all. Good luck!

Sorry to hear guys. As a team you had a lot of potential, and would have loved to see you traveling to lan tournaments. I'm sure you'll get picked up by someone else in the future!
It's a bigger loss for Vortex than you guys. They don't know what they could of had and built on.
This Is dissapointing I hear, particulary that it fell part due to disinterest and neglect. Where there are many causal clans who try harder to look after there players and they have no funding.
mayo you guys are basically agreeing. yes he left 1-2 names out that he forgot but his point still stands and yes i think you can lump almost every single "multi-gaming clan" in with what he described as most are a ******* joke. fly by night multi gaming clans far out weigh the good organisations with solid financial backing and acceptable ethics.
and this isnt snakew0w(mike) from css/1.6 its a 15 year old who goes by the name snk/sneak and i have no idea why he is trying to pass himself off as mike. that CG ladder page is also wrong as those 1.6 players are not in the team and from what im told he just uses their names to make the clan look better(for unsuspecting new sc2 teams i suppose) that come along looking for sponsorship
p.s that list of "respectable organisations" only grows by MAYBE 2 if you include teams that are no longer with us
I'm sorry, I just saw it on the front page/top of section somewhere. My bad, didn't take notice of the date posted. As for snake, I'm pretty sure i was on the receiving end of his management skills back in 2009.
